I've tried all possible voltages (1.05, 1.1, 1.15) but nothing.. I want to know if others Clevo M570RU experience higher OCs... however thanks

K i have to post this here, originally on the .14 bios I Oced to the settings listed in my sig and after i ran ATI tool i would get major pixel errors and beeps after 10 minutes and temps at 92 degrees (this is 10 minutes)... So i reflashed everything to the .18bios changed my video driver to 177.35, same clocks, ATi Tool Stable 2 hours no artifacts, and temps have not passed 49 degrees... And i can actually hear that my fans sound on auto got lowered... All this after the change of the VBIOS is amazing...

Agreed the April 08 .18 vBIOS is much better.

    @Oile
The card is technically running at a max of 1.05v, even though you may set it to higher. Setting it up about 1.05 can give you a small bit of stability gains, but its related differently when doing that.

My only guess why you couldn't get above 625 is that your hard just really can't handle it. Try these clocks. They follow the standard 2.5:1 ration for core/shader. Volt it to 1.05v. 620/1550/980 using the latest vBIOS and try the 177.41 drivers. I'm loving them!

I know this voltage "lock"... I'm using the 177.41 but they give me some flickering shadows in Assassin's creed, however I'll try your frequencies but the fact that with those of your sig my card is not stable, maybe means that my card simply have reached her limit...

@minkang I would check if when you've lanched the artifact scanning , frequencies reported on top-right were trurly 600 1500 950 and not 383 or 200..

How is that running Oile? Were you able to bump it up and keep it stable?

No, unfortunately not.. I am very angry for the fact that XPS owners can push their cards up to 800Mhz and I can't reach not even your OC..

Call Dell Spare Parts and request an 8800M GTX for the M1730. Or wait for the 9800M GTX and do the same thing, if we can...

I haven´t heard of any XPS M1730 owner that has pushed his core to 800. I know a guy who overvolted and pushed it to 700+ something but that was too much, it got way too hot and the notebook shut down.

@ wich frequencies can you push your XPS SLI? Those of your sig are equal to mine, but you can overvolt TRURLY to 1.10 - 1.15 so why you don't ? If you put your PC on 4 bottle taps and add a USB fan under it, I think it will be fresh.. however thx for the infos..

Yeah I have thought of overvolting it actually :) The clocks I have in my sig is artifact free in ATI tool and in games. If I raise any higher it is the voltage that puts stop to further overclocking.

Of course I can push it higher, though I really want it to be artifact free in ATI tool. Even if I can play games with 645/1660/950 artifact free I prefer to have the same in ATI tool.

thanks GanGstaOne just upped my vBIOS to the one provided by u on page 5 of this thread! :)

Though it was not stable on 177.xx forceware! BSODing now and then during 3D Mark06.
Went back to Clevo's 175.95! 3dMark 06 ran fine but score was way low than stock bios!!!

    Stock score - 9500 3D Marks
    Modded bios score - 8939 3D Marks!!

Though i sure hope gaming would be nice! :)

Pls anyone with 34.00.08(modded bios) share which drivers are u using along with 3D Mark if possible! :)

btw my CPU is on its stock freq!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! :)

3dmark benchmarks are just merely guidelines and should be taken to the exact score. Go into a game and do the benchmark tests in there and that will be FAR MORE accurate.

Man this sucks!! this bios seems to be unstable in games!!! :(

I ran GRID and it constantly gave the nvlddmkm.sys(driver stopped responding and recovered) error!! (with the same clevo WHQL driver)

finally after 4-5 of such occurrences the game stopped responding! :(
Earlier (with stock bios) it just used to downclock during the game to 3D clocks (i.e 383 301(dunno exactly  ))

Then while playing Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 the game ran fine for about 15 mins before freezing completely and i had to hold the pwr button to turn it off!!! :(

Anyone else having that problem?? please help, as i really need this modded bios to work and not crash on me!! :(

    What do u guys suggest?
-should i go back to my old bios(would resume the downclocking issue! :( )
-or get an unmodded new bios frm sager's website?

but i really wanted to OC! :(

btw my cpu OC is turned off! dunno why is it still crashing on me!!??

ALso during the bios flash i had to force it as there was a ID mismatch! if that is causing the probs!?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :(
    Thanks :)

u mean the modded one with 600 Core and 880 mem clocks??

if thats the one u use! please tell me which drivers are u using + have u OCed ur CPU??

btw did u upgrade ur mobo bios too? as i didn't do that and i think that might be causing probs?!

@Sohail:It's easy to mod with nibitor.May be you can get an un modded BIOS from Sager and clock it yourself. The driver from gansta made problems for me too.Had to OC mine via nibitor.

You can get the safe OC'd clock values that you fin in the forum and change it for the Sager BIOS.That shud fix everything.
