Soviet Sunrise Notebook Prophet
Yes, that is the latest keyboard firmware. I am also using 1.00.18/1.00.12 as well. RJTech should be sending the revised 1.00.20 BIOS my way after Clevo releases it.
-
ok thanks again!
-
We might try ftp://sftp.clevo.com.tw/ALLBIOS/M57xTU/BIOS_20.zip from time to time then.
-
thx for uploading. is not so easy to get the newest biosfile.
-
I know this will sound dumb, but how do we flash the bios for the 9262? All of the other bios' here have one folder in it. However, we have two for the 9262 bios zip.
-
Seems megaupload doesn't play nice with my firefox. I'll try IE.
What does EC12 fix or do? -
For those having problems with Megaupload:
Rapidshare mirror:
M57XTU BIOS 18 & EC 12 -
Anyone have the W80CU/NP8690 link yet? I know it's new and probably not revised, but seeing as how it's apparently hard to get a download link I'd like to have a copy handy. I can host it as well, if we can get a copy of it.
-
CanU upload these files somewhere else like MegaUpload or RapidShare, other Mediafire (that is blocked in China where I am)... Also what is the difference bewteen the 1.00.03i and the KBC version 1.00.03g? Thanks a lot!!
-
They are two different aspects of your BIOS. You need to update both of them.

If anyone wants others hosted lemme know. I plan on putting the 8960 up when it's posted. -
I've added hotfile links for the D900F
-
Thanks a lot!!!

I know this has been discussed before, but whats the best and easiest way to update thew BIOS? Burning it on a bootable CD, USB Disk or via old fashioned floppy? Thanks
-
Doesn't matter in my opinion as long as you boot into dos, I just use a USB stick, works great.
-
I find the USB method to be super easy. Once you set it up, then all you have to do for future updates is just plop the new bios and EC into the usb.
I must have about 5 folders in my stick with the various updates, lol! -
Is there a simple guide on how to format and make the USB bootable and where to put the BIOS update files? I would like to try to do this tomorrow and have several older (small size) USBs that would be perfect to use for this purpose only. I have no idea how to get it bootable and ready for BIOS updates though... thanks in advance for the info...
-
Jep, there is a realy good Thread posted by "zfactor"
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=246530
-
Is this the same for the d901c bios? It has two different things in there and its unclear what needs to go on the usb drive.
-
Yes, but I forgot the order
. Was it first EC and then BIOS that needed to be flashed or the other way around?
-
Soviet Sunrise Notebook Prophet
You are correct, Blacky. EC, then BIOS.
-
How do you know which one is which? The folders are named D900C_22 and D90C_H813N
-
I guess that if the BIOS is 0.22 the first one must be the BIOS and the second one the EC.
-
Blacky is correct, D900C_22 = BIOS D90C_H813N = KBC/EC Firmware
-
Could someone please give me a link to bios for NP3881.
Thanks -
Hey just for M860xx .. (i didn't look at the other models
)
Sager has a new bios version along with the Win7 drivers on their site
I thank you

Yeap, looks like they've update from BIOS 16 to 17. The EC is still the same though. Updating initial post.
Can anyone ask for new BIOS / EC for the M570TU ? -
Contact Sager and they will email you the latest BIOS they have for that model.
-
anyone have the bios of M980nu the Version: 1.00.06.
It suppose to have support for win7.
Thanks -
Contact your reseller / email them. If you manage to get your hands on it, send it to me so we can make available for other forum users as well.

Hello. There are so many endless guides and tips on how to flash the BIOS of a 900F and ultimately none work. Could someone please precisely specify the procedure? I have successfully created a DOS bootable USN stick but from there I have no idea what to do.
There are suppsedly 2 steps needing to be done to update the 900F, first flash the EC/KBC first and then the BIOS... none of which I really understand what it means... I thoigh just the *.iso file conatining the new BIOS needed to be updated... anyway...
Step ONE is from a folder than contains the following files:
D9F_03I.NS3
ECD900F.03G
ECFLASH.EXE
PH1691.EXE
STEP1.BAT
STEP2.BAT
I placed all of these on the USB stick in folder I named clevo where I can easly go to at the prompt c:\clevo>
From there I was told to use the command "refresh" or "phlash16" NONE which of course works because there is no such file in there!!! If I type "ECFLASH" I do get a flashing utilty screen but then it asks me:
ROMFILE - Specify tge file to flash
From there I have no idea what I am doing so, it ends there.
Next step TWO:
Step TWO (unless I am totally wrong) is supposedly burning onto a bootable CD the new 928BV03I.iso file. That I have not tried yet though I assume once properly burned the CD will boot into the flashing utility automatically... I have not done this yet because I did not do step one.
Basically, I have no clue what I am doing. Could someone in plain English provide a step-by-step guide on what needs to be done to update the 900F's BIOS and what files are needed or not?
This would be immensely appreciated specailly because if I do something wrong when flashing the BIOS, I will kill the laptop completely
-
Use Step one procedure. Once you get to the folder where you have the BIOS, type step1.bat ... wait for it to finish.
Reboot, go again into DOS , your bios folder and type step2.bat . Wait for it to finish and reboot.
Simple as that. -
OK, thank you. So, what do I do with the 928BV03I.iso file? Is this just for an alternate method of updating the BIOS (like by making a bootable CD)?
Thanks again
-
Yes, exactly, it's just an alternative method.
-
Just did upgraded the BIOS and it worked perfectly! Thank you VERY MUCH for your amazingly simple explanation
Tomorrow, its cloning my current Sony Vaio Z with Windows XP 32bit OS directly onto the 900F (plus Intel ICH10 conttroller drivers and all other system drivers) using Acronis TrueImage with Universal Restore.
Lets see how that goes
Thank you again very, very much
-
How can i extract the files from the iso file?
-
Use winrar
-
Not working for me. Would you kind to help me extract the files from here?
thanks
-
Basically, you can't. If you use an app like WinRAR or 7z, there will be nothing to extract. You can try to use a more specific application like MagicISO Maker 2.x or IsoBuster Pro 2.x but I doubt that even with those you can easily get any files out of the BIOS ISO. Usually boot files are simply invisible if you try to extract them as normal files and the actual BIOS upgrade files might be embedded in them. I tried extracting boot files from ISOs and many times there is simply nothing to actually extract. This might be is one of those cases.
-
If you were sent an ISO from a Clevo vendor (like Sager), the ISO is already bootable.
just burn the image onto a blank CD... and let your system autoboot from it to let it update the BIOS.
If you want the files within it... the files are hidden underneath the boot catalog and boot record. -
I was thinking that he just wants the BIOS files, not the boot files. In which case winrar works very well
.
-
WinRAR wont work to extract some ISOs
... especially ones that were compiled with the "Arnes Boot Record.img" method... which is what Sager sends you. -
I guess that can be the case, for me it has never happened before not to be able to open an ISO with WinRar. But I do prefer to use Magic ISO as it is easier to get around and has more functionality.
-
I can easily get the files inside with IsoBuster but all of the files are 000000...... if opened with a hexeditor......Don´t know if sager has done sth special with that.....
-
like I said, the files are there in the Boot Sector area that most archival programs (like WinRAR) cannot see any files... making the ISO look like its empty.
IsoBuster can see it "Bootable Disc" section of the ISO... which is where the files are. -
But how can the rom file extracted from the ISO be a 4M size but if opened with a hex editor all are 0, without 2345....cdef?
-
there should be a IMG file hidden inside of the ISO .... in the boot sector.
I have a couple of them and see that those IMG files are the BIOS update by doing a hexedit. -
Got the 1.02.17S LS3 BIOS rom. Will upload later so that anyone who don´t want to burn disk can also upgrade.
-
Any info on what the changes in this BIOS are over 216 LS1 for the 8662?
Is it worth it to update it if you're having no noticeable issues?
Are we oc'able now, or is that never gonna happen?
