    Have a look at this:
    http://www.eurocom.com/support/drivers/bios/m860tu_bios.htm

...but I think, EC Firmware should not be 1.00.12... on my M860TU (bought in 10/09) it´s 1.00.13 with Bios 1.02.16

By the way, have you tried the new bios? Any differences to the previous ver.?

There is a similar one for the M570TU, but I fear that if we use their website too much it might get blocked just like Clevo's BIOS support.

@Blacky: Do you also have an "ES"(=Engineering Sample?) after your P9700 in Specification in CPU-Z64_1.52.
Or what does the "ES" mean?

...clevo blocked... what a pity... perhaps somebody will make a "mirror"...

    @Blacky: Thanks for reply.
Do you know the difference between ES and "non-ES"? Any disadvantages?

ES CPUs tend to have their multipliers unlocked.
ES CPUs have no warranty from Intel and are not meant to be available to the general public.

Thanx to Intel's monopoly on the notebook CPU market, Non-ES CPUs cost an arm and a leg.

I have asked my vendor... and they've sent me the BIOS, however apparently the bios they've sent me does not include the original "firmware" that I need. You see, I've flashed the incorrect BIOS image on my laptop, and now it's behaving abnormally....

If anybody wants just the BIOS that I've been sent, I can host it... but what I'm really looking for is the W860CU BIOS *and* firmware download. Otherwise my laptop is more like a $3000 brick, it seems.

@rsm86: Thanks for uploading... but i´ve got mine already on Sager ;-)

I´ve tried it already... no (big) changes so far, except the addition of "Win 7" in the choice of installed system in the bios...

It lasts a while and do A LOT of beeps... but one day it´s ready: 1.02.17S LS3 :)

Download the BIOS as a free user. I just did so right now. I don't think flode would host the BIOS for premium users only.

Hi all.. 1.02.17 is out for m860tu on clevo's site aswell now

Got a question aswell if there are anyone who might know. Is there any way to turn of the BisonCam so that on every start of the computer the camera is off. Here it keeps beeing turned on on every start so that i have to manually turn it off with Fn+F10. I have been thinking and maybe it is microsoft that has done it like this in Win7 since alot of people have forgotten to turn it on before installing drivers for it.

    /Regards Infamy

Where can I find info on which changes has been made to the different revisions of the bios?

I have the M570TU with 1.00.02/1.00.03 versions. Never updated them. I think I have an issue with the laptop using long time at POST. Maybe 15-20 seconds before win7 starts loading. Just wondered if a bios update might fix this?

    I have a NP8660
    Just installed Win7

Everything is working perfectly... Im gonna update some drivers

Should I update the BIOS too?
What would I benefit from doing so?

It's all up to you. The older is your current BIOS version the more I am inclined to say to update it. However, you must know that sometimes a BIOS flash may go wrong and you will have to replace your BIOS Flash module... which is not a pleasant process. Therefore, updating your BIOS is done at your own risk.

It would be great if you could add some kind of change log in the first post. So that people can determine if it's worth flashing or not. No need to flash only to get support for some CPU you will never use...

How about variant compatibility or listing?
Like if you have a m570 Ru, what is the latest? Can you use a TU?

I imagine the same thing for the other models would be asked.

I asked my vendor about change logs for the M570TU bios, and I merged it with the info on this page: http://www.eurocom.com/support/drivers/bios/m570tu_bios.htm

    ##BIOS
    ##1. EC firmware 1.00.12.
##2. Modify local shutdown temperature setting.

    1.00.18 2009/09/01
    1. Solve sometimes system spends more time at POST issue.

    ##BIOS
    ##1. System BIOS 1.00.17.
    ##2. Improve sub-woofer effect.

    1.00.16 2009/04/30
    1. Support nVIDIA GeForce GTS 160M VGA card.
    2. Solve sometimes system can’t boot up issue.
    3. Run step1.bat to update EC firmware, run step2.bat to update system BIOS.
    ##BIOS
    ##1. System BIOS 1.00.16, EC firmware 1.00.11.

    ##BIOS
    ##1. EC firmware 1.00.09.
##2. Solve “some Fn+Fx function keys can’t work in DOS mode” issue.

    1.00.10 2008/12/12
    1. Solve system can't recognize Quad-core CPU issue.
    2. Stop to support XD card.

    1.00.09 2008/10/20
    1. Support new M/B for Quad core processor.
    2. Solve system can't identify BT device correctly when the BT cable exists.
    3. Solve sometimes system pauses at POST screen, and need to press any key to continue.
    4. When system working temperature reaches fan on point but the system can't receive normal fan speed information, it will alarm for one minute then shut down.
    5. Run step1.bat and step2.bat to update.

    ## Solve "miss key during typing" issue.

    1.00.06 2008/08/27
    1. Modify VGA card product name.
    2. Update CPU micro-code.
    3. Solve system can't identify 9800M GTS (NB9E-GT) VGA issue.

    1.00.05 2008/07/25
    1. Solve Fn+F7 no function issue.
    2. Solve sometimes system gets a blue screen when plugging in a HDMI/DVI device.

My vendor was not very specific when it comes to dates and BIOS versions, so don't trust the dates/posistions of everything marked with ##. But the changes should be correct.

Also I asked if he could send me version 1.00.19, but he said that there was no such bios version on the producer web pages. Maybe .19 is not official yet?

That is great work F22, I intended to do that for all Clevo Bios but I need to find some time for it.

I have found a bug in the 0.19 BIOS, the disable/enable beep on low battery option no longer works. The system will now beep regardless of this option once it goes below 3% battery life. Maybe some vendor can bring this into the attention of Clevo.

I just flashed to .18 / .12, but didn't get any improved boot time. The reason why I'm asking is that I just installed an Intel X25-M and win7 x64 business. So when I turn on the computer it takes about 14-15 seconds until the bios information disappears, then 15 seconds more until windows is loaded and I can enter my password. That means the bios uses half the startup time, and I think that is too much

How much time does your computer use from you push the on-button to the BIOS loading information disappears? Any settings I can apply to make things go faster?

If anyone wants the latest Bios 11 and EC 10 firmware for the older M570RU/ M571RU with the 8800M GTX the link is posted on the sixth post from Andrew at Kobalt in this thread: http://www.kobaltcomputers.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=152

This is a great update because it stoped the famous downclock when updating graphics drivers.

A direct link for the BIOS download for the W860CU was posted to the W860CU/NP8690 Owners Lounge thread. Apparently Sager is allowing the public download of the BIOS file from their Drivers Download page for the NP8690. No such luck on their Drivers Download page for the NP8760, but maybe that's because there hasn't been an update to the BIOS.

I just wish that Clevo wouldn't require good people like Blacky, to create and maintain this thread in the first place. Can't they do what every other laptop manufacturer does and make the GA releases of their BIOS files for their laptops available on their public drivers download pages, as Sager recently did for the NP8690? It certainly looks like they used to do it because of this disclaimer that's at the bottom of the driver download page for each particular laptop model.
Does anyone know why and/or when they stopped providing a download link for the system BIOS, on the laptop driver download page?

    Thanks..
