PM me a dump of the bricked BIOS chip...we need to add some info to your Afudos backup manually...
EC is in an undocumented 133PIN ITE controller chip with propitiatory and undisclosed recovery procedure, but your EC should be fine.

EDIT: Let's stop spamming this thread and continue this in PM.

The only dump i have is that one called 123.rom that i sent it earlier.
I flashed it today to the MX25L3206E (u31 in the manual)without any errors with flashrom. I supposed that this one was the bios chip right?
    What about the the ( u17 ) MX25L1606EM2I-12G?
i was thinking that one is the ec chip. im confused.

Sorry but what exactly do you need from me? Do you want another dump of the u31 MX25L3206E?

Sorry to bother you...and send me a litecoin or bitcoin address if you have.

    thanks

I installed PremaMod bios on my P650SE.

I *think* I got the hardware mis-match error at the last stage of installing (the blue box with the status bar). My version of ITE was newer than the updated one. I didn’t choose Y or N, as C:/… opened below it and typing anything did nothing.

I told prema and he said it should be fine.

However, my Keyboard backlights are not working. I uninsintalled, then reinstalled the latest hotkey but it still does not work. The dialogue comes up to say the light has been changed but the lights don't come on.

Any ideas? Do I have to revert to the stock bios to get it working?

In your case you are now on an older EC, which requires the older HotKeyApp.
You could also just flash the latest EC by using my stock version and ONLY typing 'x' and hitting 'enter'.

Thanks Prema- was that directed at me? That seems easy- so I just put the files back on my usb ("P6xxSE Prema Mod v1") and type 'X' then hit enter.

Almost, but you don't put the Mod on there but the stock version.
(The EC in the Mod is older than the EC in the stock version)

Thanks Prema, but I'm a little confused.

The EC- is that another word for bios? Just so I'm clear- the method your suggesting is to put the stock bios back on my laptop in order to get the keyboard back-light working?

No, the BIOS and EC (Embedded Controller) are hosted on two different chips on the motherboard.
The EC controls the keyboard, lights and FANs etc.
I only want you to update to the latest EC, which comes as part of the Stock BIOS/EC update on my blog.
By typing "x" and confirming with "enter" you keep the Mod BIOS but get the latest EC.

Hi guys,, I need help.. I have a clevo P750zm based laptop. Oh man, I dunno how to begin here. So I did a bios and vbios flash to my laptop with premamod for the P750zm. The flash worked and laptop booted. However, when I play game, sometimes 5-20 minutes in the game, my laptop freeze, and some times restarts by itself. So I flash back with the stock bios from clevo (from Prema site) and the problem persist. Later, I got the original bios from my reseller and flash back. Still game crashes occured. It only occur during graphical intensive activity. I checked the event viewer it says about Kernel power 219 error. Otherwise the laptop works fine during normal use, work, youtube, movies etc. I even try raising the temp by putting blanket around the laptop and ran benchmark, it gets hot but never shuts down. Only when I play games. I use 3dmark. When I use the benchmark for laptop sky diver, it crashes at the same scene (entering the cave). I tried reinstall OS, reinstall steam, all didn't work and problem persist. Before I start flash, nothing ever happened. I'm afraid i might have bricked my laptop or surge some places on the motherboard for voltage control.

    My spec:
    15.6 1900x1080p IPS
    i7 4790k 4.0GHZ
    16GB 1866 Corsair Vengeance SODIM
    GTX 980m 8GB
    128 Crucial m2
    1TB Seagate Hybrid sshd
    230w power adapter

Any help is much appreciated..insights etc.
I bought this laptop from Illegear in Malaysia. Now i am in London, so only if i have no other way I will try to send it back to Malaysia for RMA. Its just 3 months old laptop!
Prema helped me alot before flashing and through the problems, but still it's not fixed.
Anyone else may have an idea what to do? And know if i can send it to repair to clevo specialist here in London/UK?

    Thank you in advance :)

That's not the BIOS...if it fails during the same scene in 3DMark every single time, that's just a driver problem...try 347.90

    Hi Prema :)
Thanks for reply. I have tried reinstall nvidia drivers, version 347.52, 347.88, and even the latest ones. But still it happens. I use driver sweeper to completely removed each. Perhaps some drivers are clashing with eachother. Or was it only the display driver issue?
any other suggestions are appreciated :D

Otherwise, last choice is RMA.. but its tedious to send all the way to Malaysia.

You use a Killer 1525, right?
What happens if you uninstall Killer driver including Bluetooth or remove the entire card from the system...

Yes, so I just tried. It seems the problem still there. Just about 10 minutes, laptop froze, beeps 3 times and shuts down. to remove the card, I have not tried.
I'll try the 347.90 see if it makes any difference..

That error is not even related to GPU.
Unplug ALL usb devices and disable the webcam...it's a Plug'N'Play device error.

So i removed the mouse usb. I use razer naga. I didn't noticed any crash anymore. It lasted more than 10 minutes i'd say. Yay! lol.

Okayyyy, now how do i fix this problem? And is it the driver for usb that may be causing this? I installed all the necessary driver listed for clevo P750zm.
Or perhaps its the razer naga driver.. what do you think?

Thanks but it was my fault all along- when I reset the CMOS battery, I didn't connect the LED serial plug back on the keyboard.

I've just put the latest version of both your bios & EC.

However, the CPU fan is very loud at start up, and I cannot launch the Hotkey app to change the fan speeds etc. Should I change settings in Prema bios? Or should I put the stock EC on my laptop?

Remove the Razor driver and app all together, see if it helps.
(Use the Mouse in the USB 2 port)
If it does help update to the latest versions.
If it doesn't help you may have a broken Mouse cable.

Just follow the instructions of my post that you quoted to keep the BIOS Mod but flash the latest EC (the EC in the Mod archive is just older). Also put HotKeyApp in Entertainment Mode or the dGPU will be kept active even if not used. Resulting in additional noise by the FANs.

    Hi,

I have just installed the latest BIOS for my W230SD laptop (now 1.03.03 / EC: 1.03.02), I was hoping that this would help me get WOL (wake on LAN) working.

Is it possible to get it working on this model? If its not possible I'll give it up :-(

I originally had it working and after high 5's everywhere I realised that this was only if I tried it shortly after powering down, since following a million pieces of Goggled advice it no longer works at all and I am struggling to get it back to partially working.

Anyway thanks for any help or even just telling me that Clevo don't support WOL...

You need a BIOS Mod for WOL, stock BIOS doesn't have it. PM me when you reach 5 posts.

To share knowledge and information and this works both ways.
If you read the initial post, it says that if you have troubles with your BIOS, first contact your reseller. This is because although there are universal BIOS for all Clevo machines, we do not know all the particularities of each machine and the customisations done by every reseller. In the mean time we kinda started to have answers for most common issues.

However some of the questions are rather uncommon. For instance I never seen anyone with your problem of WoL. In this situation there are not many users who can help you and most of them are not very active. Hence, in order to help you and maybe other users who have the same issue, a good approach would be to try to contact your reseller and see if they have a solution. Whatever answer you get, share it here and that would help a lot of other people. That's how tech forums work.

I am not trying to rant, just trying to give you the best approach to fixing your issue.

Thanks a lot, I'm a bit of a greeny so I don't like to leave things on all the time.

I do have another bios related issue, I have a nice wired USB keyboard from Microsoft, when connected the bios boot hangs, after Googling there were 3 possible options, the best being turning off USB boot, I simplified it as much as possible but none of the 3 options exists in the bios. Any ideas?

mySN has 1.03.13 for P75xZM/P770ZM already. Shame Clevo stopped giving changelogs for updates.

Color me ignorant, but are these bioses stock Clevo (totally unmodded) or Prema modded stock bioses? The txt files inside the archives have Prema mentioned in it so you would think the latter, but then again why mention stock... so is I can't really be sure what it is. I am confused...

And if it is stock, will there be modded bioses coming?

Ok, ignore what I just said.. I'm convinced it's stock Clevo... so, waiting for the Prema mod :)
    (P670SG in my case...)

Anybody notice anything better/worse/new in this bios?

Pardon my ignorance but can I install Windows with UEFI on a Sager/Clevo laptop? I'm Planning on getting the N155SD and clean installing Windows 10 when that comes out.

    hi guys... (sorry my english)

I have a clevo w150HRM stucked al splash screen, and can't go to bios (it's an AMI one)
I've read all the thread, but get no solution

I Take out battery, RAM, disk, wlan card, and cmos battery trying to clear CMOS,

The reseller (mountain) has sent me the last EC/BIOS files to flash them booting from usb... but didn't work
    (ECW150.03 and W15HRM.09)

    Also tried to power up pressing fn+b, ctrl+b, win+b, ctrl+home, fn+home
    and renaming W15HRM.09 to SUPER.rom, AMIBOOT.ROM, AMIBOOT.rom

I'm desperate, and do not know what else to do... ¿any idea?

    Thanks in advance...

Did the flash go through or not? If it didn't; could try an auto-flash (blind) using autoxec.bat. Think you have an Ami 8 version too, but check first. Otherwise you need a different afudos version (and, perhaps, commands).

If that doesn't work you could get a new bios ic and solder it. That's no guarantee though; something else may be amiss, in which case it's either new motherboard, cpu or memory.

hi, I have a few noob questions. I'm gonna buy a new Clevo laptop soon. So even with a new buy machine, I still need to update my BIOS, right (never done this before)? Do I also have to update BIOS every time it gets new update (like windows/software update)? After the update, do I need to reinstall my OS (just making sure)?

Also, after I get my new machine, I plan to install windows 7/8/10 or whatever without a licence key (plan windows 10 tho since I heard it's free) on the HDD. After around a month or two, I'll get a SSD and install windows 8/8.1, whichever my school'll give me after I enroll. So does it affect the BIOS? Should I update BIOS right after I get my laptop or after I get the SSD?

One more thing tho, the link " how to flash your bios with dos using a usb stick" doesn't work, it directs me to the forum front page.

Did not mean to interrupt your travels Prema. Safe travels!!!
Also, does anyone know if these recent updates support NVMe boot support yet?

The flash process didn't go through :(

I've tried the auto-flash with a 2gb pen just formatted fist to FAT and then to FAT32, containing only an autoexec.bat litke this

    Code:
    @echo off
    set PATH=.;\;\LOCALE
    mkdir TEST
and trying some key combinations while pressing power button (fn+b, ctrl+b, ctrl+home)

... does not create the TEST folder

should try the autoexec boot using a dos-bootable pen?

    Thanks for your time
