    Hi,
I have an xmg p502 (clevo p150EM) and I´ve seen in xmg web the next bios update
    P150EM-bios- 1.02.17TR_disable_HT_Logo.rar
I´ve already have installed the bios_0217 and EC_0211.
Does anyone know what it ghanges compared to my current bios?
And if it enables the Fn+1 mode?
And how can I install it?? In the previous bios update there was a file "flashme.bat", but in this one, there is no that file.
    Cheers.

    Hi...

I have a P170EM and the files I extracted from the zip are:
    AFUDOS.exe
    ECP170EM.12
    P170EM.17
    README.txt
    update.bat

But the first post in this thread says:

    5. Once you are in the folder with your EC/KBC files, type “update.bat”. If you have your EC/KBC files in the same folder with the rest of the BIOS files, then type “step1.bat” or "updateEC.bat".

But I have no step1.bat file in the extracted files!

Just run update.bat and you should be fine.

Hi. I have a problem. My system no longer detected my Nvidia GPU. But currently everything is fine running under Intel Graphic. Then I came across this thread and found an archive of Clevo P150EM bios and one of the bios description said "Solve "system can't identify GTX680M VGA" issue". I like to try this, but get confused which EC/KBC to use with. Or can I just flashing the bios file only? Thanks.

Usually the EC and bios come packaged together. Do you have a link to the bios you are finding?

    Here's the link;
    http://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/P1xxEM/

In that list, only first updates were zipped together (for P150EM). But the rest of the later updates are separated. So which one to use?

I think you first need to update to this:
    1. System BIOS 1.00.04 and EC firmware 1.00.04 for P150EM only.
    2. It is necessary to refer to readme.txt to update firmware.
    3. Update ME to 1441.
    4. Update PXE ROM to 2.46.
    5. Enable Intel CPU VT function support.
    http://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/P1xxEM/P150EM_0404.zip

Then you need to upgrade to latest EC version:
    BIOS 10/30/2012
    1. EC firmware for P150EM only.
    2. Support Windows 7 and Windows 8.
    3. It is necessary to follow the instruction of readme.txt to update firmware.
    http://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/P1xxEM/P150EME5fjkmue.zip

Then you need to upgrade to latest BIOS:
    http://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/P1xxEM/P150EMB25ji.zip

    Hopefully everything will work fine!

I successfully flashed all the files. My EC/BIOS are updated but GPU still not detected.

I don't know whether my GPU are really dead or not, as yesterday I pulled the card out, I switched it on, my laptop make a loud noise of beeping and this crazy fan blowing when booting all the way to Windows. After I put it back everything normal again. Well, except no GPU.

Anyway, thanks for your help Blacky. Really appreciated it.

I'm a bit confused. Trying to update my P151EM1 to a Windows 8 BIOS (Running Windows 8.1 Pro right now) and it's the one thing I didn't do before I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8.

The P151EM has two BIOS listed for June 2012, the 1.00.03 and 1.00.04, so I'm not entirely sure which version I might have. My system says "BIOS Version/Date: American Megatrends Inc. 4.5.6, 6/23/2012".

    Any recommendations?

It usually doesn't matter. Just update the EC first and then the BIOS to the latest version.

The OS you have installed can't impact the BIOS, it's not loaded yet, please post screenshots of the relevant pages in your system, it might be something they left out of the 9130 however as it was a more value orientated model.

    Hi everybody !
So i wanted to update the bios from my P170EM, but then I saw that my Bios version was 1.02.17 and the KBC/EC still at 1.00.01

I don't know if it's a Sager or Clevo bios installed (i remember doing the update some time ago, but can't figure out wich one I choosed, if I had a choice back then...)
Here is a picture of my Bios : http://www.cjoint.com/c/EHFh2vAVFE1

    What should I do ?

I did read it, but i wanted to have a confirmation on what to do exactly :
    1. update EC to 1.00.06 first and then
    2. update EC to 1.02.12 ?

    or directly to 1.02.12 ?

And should i take Sager or Clevo version ? (I didn't found a mention of Sager anywhere on my laptop or in my bios but...)

    Neither am I.
But whenever I tell someone to do this and that to update their BIOS... I kinda feel the need to pray that nothing will go wrong.
I've been doing this since 2009 and I haven't had any problems with anyone, but still, I feel responsible for the advice I give and I always worry that I might have missed something and I will get that poor fellows laptop bricked.

Well then, I triend to flash my EC to version 1.00.06, but it told me that the ROMID wasn't compatible with my BIOS ROMID.
    And stopped there...

I guess your prayers half-worked since I didn't brick my laptop but neither updated it ^^

I'm pretty sure at that point it prompts you to press y or n and at that point you just press y and then it should work?

Nope, it exited the flashing process and either I could rerun ECflash.bat (with the same result) or exit.

Well everything worked like a charm, I now have my EC up to version 1.02.12 (directly from 1.00.01).
In addition, it resolved a "sound" I had when booting.

I'll try to go with Prema mod now :)

Hi, I have an Avell G1530 (Clevo P150EMx) with a GTX680M, and want to use Prema MOD BIOS, to do this safe and right I want to ask a bit before.

I had taken photos from my boot screen and BIOS as I've put here in the thread, I think that the most important info is:

    MB series: P150EMx
    Bios Rev: 1.00.04NS1
    KBC/EC FW Rev: 1.00.05SA

    My questions is:

    1) My PC shows P150EMx in place of P150EM, these two uses the same BIOS?
    2) Where do I see my ME version? I have entered all the screens of my BIOS and didn't saw ME info.
    3) Do I need to flash before any other BIOS/EC or I can flash the newest directly?
    4) Do I have to be a fully charged battery, need to remove battery or something about battery that I need to know? Because I read that to make the flash one need to be in AC mode. The point that makes me think about the battery is the point where the tutorial said to shutdown laptop, disconnect AC and wait 30s. It is needed to remove battery too?

    Photos:
    BIOS 01
    BIOS 02

    Thanks everyone!

I confess I didn't read through this whole thread. It appears the link in the first post for instructions to create a dos bootable USB drive is broken.

I'd like to update my Clevo W150ERQ to the latest bios and EC (1.02.17, 1.02.08 respectively). I'm assuming I can just create a bootable dos USB with Rufus?

Also, there's a link in the first post to a site https://biosmods.wordpress.com/ Which bios is recommended, the stock bios or the Prema Mod bios? I'm not sure I understand the difference between these.

In case it's relevant, the reason I am looking in to updating the bios is because I intend to install a new CPU in my Clevo 150ERQ. I will be installing a i7-3940XM, and just in case I'd like to be able to undervolt the CPU a little if it gets too hot.
