This is normal for Azor and Dellienware. And their fanboys. They haven't the clue.

People seems to forget the past. Azor claimed their models come with Pascal without power cap vs. the others. He said the other OEMS pushed fake. What did they release? I mean AW... Scam/fraud or false statement? Locked 150w TDP vs, others 190/200/220W TDP Pascal cards.

    Internet never forget! Neither me.

That has been out for quite a whole already. As a single card two fan solution the p770 series is the competitor anyway.

The cooling in the p870 is a different beast.

Some certainly are, but I suspect primarily ignorance as that is more common than stupidity. People don't know what they don't know. Even those that believe they know everything are more ignorant than they realize. Some even pride themselves as being an authority.

I'm taking one for the team. Just placed an order yesterday for the NP-9176-G3, and I ordered it through Sager. For all the research I did and the questions I got answers for (kudos to the Sager Reps, very helpful), I decided to give Clevo another try. I have to admit I'm a bit excited to see how well this new laptop works out. :)

Clevo notebook shipments to see double-digit growth in 2019
    Digitimes.com | April 8, 2019

Taiwan-based PC vendor Clevo expects its notebook shipments to surge over 15% on year in 2019, bolstered partly by strong demand from China's gaming market and partly by the easing of Intel CPU shortages expeted in late second quarter, according to company sources.

Clevo said that Nvidia's new-generation GeForce RTX and GTX graphics cards are expected to hit the market in the second quarter of 2019, which will drive replacement demand, especially from the gaming sector. The company estimated global gaming notebook shipments to expand to 9.8 million units in 2019 from 8.5 million in 2018, with growth momentum mainly coming from the China market.

Also actively tapping the PC procurement market, Clevo believes the gradual loosening of Intel's tight CPU supply will help revive the procurement markets worldwide in the second quarter. The company is gearing up preparations for demand from South America and Europe.

With the encouraging developments, Clevo estimates its notebook shipments to soar 17% on year to 1.5 million units in 2019 from 1.282 million in 2018, which in turn edged up only 0.8% from 2017.

In 2019, Clevo also plans to launch a series of narrow-bezel notebook models in 15.6, 16.1, and 17.3-inch specs, and roll out a full series of new models adopting Intel's 9th generation processors, all likely to significantly drive up the firm's average selling prices (ASP) for notebooks.

For headphones or inbuilt? Inbuilt laptop speakers just have limits, but the headphone output should be really good.

Btw any news on the liquid cooled Clevo laptop? If I remember correctly I read about it somewhere in this forum when someone posted a link of a liquid cooled heatsink installed in P870 system . Forgot to save that page..

Headphones sound great, in-built sound less than great, actually a bit tinny, a serous lack of any bass, despite having a bass speaker. The SB Connect software helped a little, but overall, a far cry from the Creative X-Fi driven laptop I had previous. I know there isn't much of anything that can be done at this point, and I'll chalk it up to lousy timing. I can somewhat overlook the sound issue at this point, considering that my 9900K and RTX 2080 are performing nicely, which was a major factor in purchasing this laptop to begin with, so overall, I am content with the system.

The subwoofer on the D900T/K has pretty good bass, but the volume isn't great. My old crappy Dell XPS did have a pretty powerful subwoofer as well, and good volume. The speakers on that thing were the only good components on it.

Yeah, 2019 has been a dry year from Clevo. We need better than what we have now. Most is old and we need a replacement for P870 (but with single graphics due Nvidia).

3900X is 105W TDP. And the coming 16 cores 3950X is 125w. Clevo need a full re-design. No point in 8 cores 3700x or 3800X. They lose vs. old 9900K (8 cores) if oc'd. I expect we will see something when Intel push out 10 cores.

I was really impressed with the p870 chassis, having come from an p775. You can see it was engineered with proper cooling and room to expand on. I was hoping that for the 10 core a redesign for the heatsink might come, but as p870 is EOL, it will be up to the community and people like Prema to keep the torch lit.

Same here, so far Asus, Lenovo, MSI and Dell seem to have outdone themselves in a race to the bottom when it comes to showing small and wimpy machines at CES, preferably with monster 13" and 14" screens and MSI even managed to show a PINK laptop - yeah!

So Clevo is the only company left standing to bring us anything of substance, I very much hope they will not disappoint.
