yeah i already have the cooler its logitech. yes it helps too for about 3-5C because it has a large fan at the bottom. anyway i'm being bothered by the torn thermal pad in one of the chip when i removed the heatsink. its a small chip, should i replace the thermal pad of it? also would anyone know whats the thickness of the pad?

I'd still recommend using the official AMD releases instead. Clevo will always be behind on their releases. Those are based on the 12.11 beta and we should have 13.2 official beta releases from AMD soon.

Just was checking the Clevo website and noticed a bunch of updated drivers for my laptop. After downloading a few (using USA link), I noticed that the downloaded files had the same file dates as my versions on my driver disc. After additional comparison, I realized they were exactly the same versions as on my driver disc, yet the website showed newer version numbers.

I then re-downloaded the drivers using both the ASIA and EUROPE links. The drivers obtained from the EUROPE link were the same as USA, but the drivers obtained from the ASIA link are the new ones and matched the versions on the website.

Is there a reason why the USA and EUROPE download links serve older drivers than what is referenced on the website?

Haha, same thing with the new 7970M driver for Windows 7. Thanks for the tip; I will check out what downloads from the Asia server.

*Update* The Asia server download link is terribly slow and cuts off about a minute in.

Hello all I'm the proud owner of a clevo p180hm from malibal computers. So here's my question guys, my system ran games like a champ until recently. The setup is a i7 2630qm processor, 12 gigs of ram, x2 amd 6970m graphics cards in crossfire. 1gig 7200 hard drive. So within the last 3 days all of my Video games stopped useing my secondary graphics card. So here what I did when I found out, I uninstalled/reinstalled the latest drivers. And even rotated the video cards around from master to slave to rule out any hardware problems. And I even ran graphics benchmarks on both cards. Teu give the se results, so my question is why is my system only useing the main card an main card only? Even with crossfire on!?!

Hey guys I need to update my intel graphics, and 7970m, along with ethernet, could someone post the appropriate links for p170em win 7 64bit please?

So once I have all the files downloaded, don't i uninstall intel +restart, uninstall 7970m, restart, install intel + restart, install 7970m +restart?

Uninstall AMD. Unintall Intel. Restart. Install Intel. Restart. Install AMD, restart.

Wait until tomorrow, April 24th, 13.4 WHQL and 13.5 Beta are expected then.

You need the Intel 2932, not 3071. AMD still failing for mobile.

For Win 7 still issues and for me on Win 8, no longer crashes, but now have constant flickering in games. Whatever, I'll stick with 2932 until I'm ready to go green, give up on AMD.

i usually check station-drivers.com for the latest firmware:

    http://www.station-drivers.com/page/renesas.htm

as for drivers, i just use the ones that come integrated in win8, no need to install a separate package :)

a good bet would be to check with the reseller u got ur machine from :) i can also warmly recommend the mysn/schenker driver repository, they just updated their win10 section to include all necessary drivers for their clevo models. just need to check which of their xmg/schenker models would be equivalent to your clevo model.

Using Win10 on my Clevo P150EM.

    Issues:
    - I dont have Win10 drivers for the touchpad.
    - The computer doesn´t turn off. I select "turn off" in Windows and all light except the light on the power button is turned off. I have to manually turn it off by pressing power button for a few seconds.

Did you overclock your CPU? this happens to me when I overclock and there is one setting that I changed to fix it, I can't remember what it was :( I think it was the extra voltage I had for the system agent or PLL I really can't remember

another possibility is if you have Hybrid shutdown(AKA Fast Startup) enabled, you need to disable that junk ASAP and turn off your pagefile via powercfg -h off in an elevated command prompt

    Hello community

I got my first P771DM G, and i got some questions

1st i have the Right Dispayport without a sign of life, only the Left one let me connect my Asus PG278Q.
2nd, i notice some on and off in the external display when starting, but it takes a couple of minutes until it stabilizes, but wherever i touch meanwhile, the display goes On and Off for a couple of minutes
3rd Between those On and Off of the external display, sometimes the image, text, etc, stays duplicated, making me hard to read, i have to reboot to get back things to normal....

Any suggestions on what might be happening?

Is there any Web Site with more recent drivers, and software, like the "Control Center"? I only found one in Clevo´s web site, but seems old....Also were can i find updates to the BIOS if they exist?

I´m new with this brand, can someone guide me and tell me if somethings that i mention above are normal...

    Thank you

Sounds like your DP cable is broken somewhere along its length. So try a new cable first to at least rule out this possibility before looking deeper.

As far as I know the latest version of Control Center is 5.0000.0.32 . I get most of the critical drivers from the various manufacturer's websites and for the rest, I use the Sager Driver Download page.

Latest BIOS can be found here (use at your own risk): http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/clevo-bios-thread.416916/

If you look at the thread I quoted on my previous post you will see instructions on how to flash your bios on a DOS environment.

To flash the BIOS chip you need to reboot the PC and boot to DOS with a bootable usb drive or cd (DOS is another operating system if that was what you were asking). BIOS flashing on Clevo laptops can't be done on Windows and that's why you need DOS. It is an easy operation but don't try flashing your BIOS if you don't fully understand the procedure and be careful cause BIOS flashing can brick your computer and you will need a motherboard swap. If there are no issues with your laptop then I don't recommend messing with BIOS updates unless a new version gives you new features.
