    Hey all,

thanks for putting together all this information; comes in really helpful now that I am looking for a new laptop.

I am inclined to buy at mycizmo.com now and was wondering if somebody could point me in a direction where to find some reviews of them, their service and if they are reliable.

I contacted them directly and was pleased with their immediate replies, and I have two updates for your list:
    - they don't do student discounts at the moment
    - although they are based in Germany, they don't ship to Germany as they only export

I would value some other thoughts on mycizmo though :)

    Thanks again!

    ---

Also, as it's the first time I came across the name Clevo, I'm having trouble identifying the Clevo model no of the Cizmo model I selected. If anyone could help me there, I'd appreciate it!
Cizmo GXi15 which is the same I guess as the Guru ICE i7 or the MySN Schenker MG6.C, sort of the cheapest 15,6" barebone available from these resellers.

Had great experience with NEXOC, my M570RU audio socket (as it is very common) stopped working, so took it to their HQ and after a week or so went to pick it up. The most astonishing part is that I bought my Clevo in USA from RJtech (as we all know there is no such thing as global Clevo waranty and the PC was +1 year old anyway ...) and got this kind of service from these guys, they did not even ask me to to pay for the repair.

This is international economics, my friend. I live in a high cost country - average wages are high, but so are the prices, and the taxes, on nearly everything. A BigMac here costs double what you pay in the US. Or more. A pair of Levi's 501 = double or triple. A Clevo here, well it's not double what you pay in the US, but close.
The story is a little different for every country, and there are some big differences within Europe. My country is right on the top of the list of the priceyest countries in the world.

thats what you get for living in the eu.
here in the uk there are quite a lot on here that order from america. yes they are way much cheaper but a few things have to be taken into concideration.
you buy from america for example a $2000 laptop. you then have to pay import and custom dutys which include our lovely 20% vat. then if for any reason you have to send it back for repair or upgrade you will have to pay courier charges and insurance yourself back to america so in the long run once youve added these extra charges ontop of the american original price it doesnt work out much cheaper.
here in the uk we call it rip off britian.

Do you mean the P150HM compared to the Sager 8150? They're the same machine based on the Clevo P150HM chassis. Clevo is the original manufacturer of the shells.

I had a system76 / gazelle which I bought in the USA but was stolen in south africa. I am looking to replace it, since I'm now back in south africa, this is not so easy.
Fortunately, I found this thread. Can anyone recommend a clevo reseller that ships to south africa? There doesn't seem to be one here.
    I am looking for a P151HM1 or P150HM.

Yes, I know there are two resellers in Sweden, but their prices are ridiculously to high.

Check some of these resellers http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/652403-clevo-resellers-european-union-v1.html :) Although I doubt anyone beside the resellers in Sweden sells a P270WM with a Swedish keyboard.

Try contacting some of the german resellers, they usually have a lot of different keyboards at stock (even when not shown on the website)

    Hey guys,

I am currently in China, Shanghai and would like to remove and reapply the thermal paste of both the CPU & GPU (in the X7200). Back in my home country I have the necessary screwdriver and paste etc, but here I don't.
Do you think I should just go to a local store and ask them to remove & reapply the thermal paste for me? Which store should I go to?

    Thanks for your help!
