Also http://www.pc-koubou.jp/ is another reseller I have found. I have decided not to purchase from Japan though because the resellers here do not offer the customization that they do in America so I will just get it there. (Like the tv tuner and bluetooth and possibly the dvd-rom...)
By the way, this company calls the Sager 5760 the Lesance CL706GW-C2D-GT. I think thats all they have maybe...

When you say about Eurocom that "website should not be taken seriously", what do you mean? Is it that they list their system higher than sell them, or that you can get good bargain when dealed with the company?
Also, is all the prices at Hypersonic are in US$?
Thank you -

thanks...lucky I'm in Canada! I'll give them a call soon. Thanks for helping and thaks for the great post!

Additional reseller and quick review:
I purchased an "Open Box" M750U from a reseller in Michigan US, Apocalypse Computers, a few weeks back. They originally had the unit on eBay, but kept getting spam-bids; we negotiated a BIN via email and they ended the listing early.
These guys have no feedback, no reseller ratings, and no real mentions online, except for a number of paid ads that must have cost a pretty penny. I was concerned that I might be getting scammed, so I did as much homework as possible. They were very quick to respond to my (many) email messages, and answered the telephone whenever I called. I consider myself to be very cautious when purchasing tech online, and they calmed my fears as much as possible. As soon as my funds cleared I received a UPS tracking number, and within a few days had a beautiful (and cheap) Clevo in my hands.
However... (Disclaimer: As this was an open item, I don't know if the following is a result of reseller QC or due to the remorseful original buyer) My M750U shipped with a carrying case that smelled and felt like a quart of oil had been spilled on/in it. It's still airing out on my front porch. Also, half of the screws to the bottom access panel were missing. No biggie, but I'm pretty particular. More importantly, though, the unit shipped with the power brick, but no Edison tail to plug into the wall. I emailed Apocalypse and told them; they offered to ship me the missing part immediately. I had a spare, so I declined. I can't comment on their follow-up or after-sale customer service.
Anyway, all things considered, my experience with Apocalypse was positive... -
the cable for the power adapter is a standard one that you would find on desktops. so go find a desktop power cable and use that.
Glad to hear that the transaction went well. -
-
That cable is not too proprietary, you might be able to pick it up elsewhere [Radio Shack, Fry's, etc...]. -
Wow holy **** I have been looking around the internet to find my perfect laptop and so fare I’m very disappointed about what is offered in laptops for non gamers but still wants high end performance.
What I’m looking for is a light thin 17" WUXGA laptop that runs silent and has long battery life, it should also include an WORKING D-DVI to run DELL 30" screen and have a very good WIFI implementation for stable long-range connection.
So fare im out of luck it seams like non of the high end computers has an working D-DVI output. And all the good machines like M570U/M575U generate so much heat and sounds to much and crapy battery life because of all the super performance.
Im not an expert at this so i might very well be wrong about everything im saying but please do correct me then . I yeast think you are the perfect person to ask about a computer that fits this settings.
Im living in Sweden so i need an European brand I was looking at xtreme ctx pro but I guess the D-DVI is not working and it must sond like a devil with the 9750 GTX generating al that heat.
Maybe the M570U with ATi Mobility Radeon X1600 as an option would generate less heat and run more quite and it has also support for D-DVI but for some reason manufactures don’t connect more than a single link internally???
The best match i have found so fare is the Area-51 m5790 this run extremly silent according to reviews the bad thing is i cant by it in Sweden and it has no working D-DVI(Is this a Clevo machine??)
Best regards Henrik -
Gophn,
A top ten review .
Since I live in France there I found 2 companies that sale CLEVO laptops, I do not know anything about there costumer service( France is not very well know by there costumer services, so I would not count on it). I will try to dig more into it (There prices are high ), but meanwhile these are the sites
1) company name: nicediscount
web site: http://www.nicediscount.fr/
city: NICE France
Models: M590KE,M590K,M570U,M550N,M520G and my future BB the D900C
2) company name:
web site: http://www.pcw.fr
city: PARIS France
Models: D900K, M590KE, M570U, M520N
By the way, I tried to check Flawless Computers products and looks like there site is down or they are out of the business . -
nice find, thanks for the info.
And it seems that Flawless has fallen into bad times, so I will reflect that in my next revision... hopefully soon. -
Woot, I think you're the only one to post my review as well, instead of just Albersterama (spelling?).
You win. ^5 -
Ok woah, you mean all these different companies sell the SAME notebooks???
I got mine from www.hipepc.com and someone told me it was a Sager. I checked them out and sure enough. but Alienware too?? How come they look different? -
Alienware sells notebooks that are re-branded Clevo's, Arimas, etc...
Each vendor can choose to sell which ever notebook they want... as well as re-brand them however they want.... like custom paint jobs, stickers, Alien-head, etc... which would make you pay more of a premium for those customizations. -
Awesome job and an excellent compilation, thank you!!
-
Great compilation
i bought two clevos sold in Indonesia under Axioo brand and i think there is another brand (FORSA) using clevo ODM -
English is my main language... I have little experience with some European and Asian languages. -
how about PCmicroworks
http://www.pcmicroworks.com/laptops.htm
http://www.resellerratings.com/store/PC_MicroWorks_Corporation So far perfect, with 9 people. -
Hi
Nice List you've got there!
But it looks like Nexoc just sells the laptops to companys which then resell them to private individuals. I contacted them about the M570RU and they forwarded the mail to http://www.alb-computer.de/ which seems to be the big german reseller of Clevos and other laptops.
And http://www.xxodd.nl/ seems to be a company in the Netherlands. -
Thanks for the additional resellers.
I am hoping to finish up the new Clevo Guide ASAP. -
I also stumbled about this one. . . http://www.targacomputers.com/
Seems to have no resellerratings -
I'm going to be honest, this almost makes me angry. All these top end computer companies like "Alienware" and "Falcon-NW" pride themselves on proffesional assembly. They say they build a better laptop and such. So I find out, in reality all there doing is taking a base clevo system and plugging in the parts then charging 2000$ for a shiny paint job. I almost feel ripped off in every top line notebook I ever bought from the well known companies. TY for this guide. I just configured a notebook on xoticpc that costs 3,240$ less than the equivelent falcon-nw(without a paint job I might add). That's seriously crazy.

Anyone know if there's any clevo reseller in Taiwan? Currently in Taipei till Thursday and have been searching high and low for reseller info but unfortunately no luck. Any help is much appreciated.
-
-
I found http://www.gen-x-pc.com
Based in Lafayette, Louisiana
They also offer great discounts: http://www.gen-x-pc.com/notebook_discount.htm
I would check them out, they have many dedicated customers who are very happy with Gen-X-PC -
I remember years ago Falcon Northwest has always had a price premium. Some swear by it...others don't!
-
Not sure if this worth Posting But Killernotebook.com seems to sell some of the clevo setups. I would like to see prices from them with Models they use on clevo
-
Anybody know what resolution the DVI port supports the new M570RU will support? I'm hoping to use my 1600x1200. TIA.
-
all the notebooks that are current with DVI can have a resolution on an external monitor up to 1920x1200.
-
Isn't it time to remove Flawless? Even the domain has gone dark...
Very sad.... -

Hey Gophn, how about adding these guys:
http://xtremenotebooks.com/ -
Jeez, did you see those prices? They're over a grand more than what I paid at Xoticpc! -
Hi, I contacted Eurocom asking to match r&j tech's price and they refused, they are almost 700$ over (for Clevo M570ru).
Now I need to find somewhere else to buy this laptop in Canada because I do not want to pay the custom fees (which must be very high). Does any1 know another place where I could buy this laptop? (As barebone if possible) -
make sure that you tell Eurocom the price from RJtech in Canadian $$ not US currency.... thats why they refused with the huge gap.
-
Alienware only sells two Clevos atm:
Aurora mALX in the US - Clevo M590K
And the Alienware Sentia m3450 in the EU International - Clevo M54X -
Goph, you need to update your section on Flawless Computers.
http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Flawless_Computers -
i know i know.... i'll just do that part of the update now then I guess

-

I'm moving to london and wanted to get a m570ru. I am going to go through either xoticpc or rjtech, but wanted to know if anybody has some experience with this and has issues i haven't thought of. I need to get an adapter for the brick but that seems to be the only issue to me. All input is appreciated

I'm in California, US. I was curious what is the best company to buy a NP5790?
Also what is the whole dead pixel deal about? Am I going to get a laptop with dead pixels or will the pixels die eventually? What is that all about? -
1) California is perfect for those that are looking for a Clevo notebook, 2 of the largest companies for selling/distributing Clevo's are located in the City of Industry:
- Sager
- Pro-Star
You can purchase through either of them.... or I would recommend to order through one of the Sager resellers (XoticPC or Powernotebooks) to get better support.
2) Do NOT worry about the dead pixel insurance... it is rare to get a notebook with a dead pixel since they check for it before it goes out to transit.... in the unlikelihood of of one or more, you can just ship it back for an exchange/refund.... because Sager (as well as other vendors) have a full satisfaction guarantee. -
I just ordered a NP2090 from xoticpc what info do i need for the bank for the wire transfer?
