@Loek van Kooten - we are on the job! DM2 and DM3 are no problem, they're on our internal server already but we're missing the DM which should be with us shortly.
Might be an obvious question, but have you gone into the BIOS and in the Advanced Chipset Control / DDI Settings changed it from DP to TBT? See extract from user manual below:

Intel certifies every device from every ODM regarding Thunderbolt. For every Thunderbolt Firmware update, every device from every ODM needs to be re-certified. Yes it' the chassis manufacturer's responsiblity to make the support and updates available but the process is a lot more complicated than it may seem at first glance.
Yes, technically correct. The discussion in the thread you linked to aren't completely accurate though. There is a complex certification process with TBT and wether there is a license cost involved or not is a black hole of certification, licensing and contractual trip wires - tbh much like other technology which is integrated from other manufacturers. Optimus systems had to be certified by Nvidia - at the end of the day the technology "owner" has a duty to ensure that their tech is functioning in to their level of satisfaction.
There are two Firmware versions for the DM:
1/ 29/3/16
2/ 11/5/2016
You can't tell which laptops would have which firmware just from the dates because you have to take the Clevo production run time into account, then shipping, then how long the reseller had stock and which batch it came from.

Thank you very much for your reply, XMG! Hopefully you will be my savior. If this is going to work, I will definitely donate a few hundred euros to whatever project it is you are running; it is that important to me. I'm really that much of a specialist, so I didn't even know about these BIOS settings. I changed them from mDP to TBT (I assume this means the power will be routed to the TBT instead of something else?) but no difference yet.

P.S. If I run FlashTBT_100.exe (without inserting a bin), the program fails, but the Thunderbolt port appears.

If it works out, perhaps you'll be able to update your post on being deceived for future readers of this thread, and also be able to educate your reseller too. -
Once this works, I will swallow every single word I said. You have my word. I'm here under my real name: you can find me anywhere on the internet, so you can hunt me down for eternity.

@XMG @jclausius Completely unexpected, the reseller came up with a working bin for the Clevo DM! After I had upgraded the firmware, I had to reinstall the Thunderbolt drivers, reinstall the LAN drivers, upgrade the HP Omen firmware and turn the system off for a few minutes to let the firmware kick in... but then, suddenly, there was light.
Please find some screenshots (before and after) and pictures attached!
As promised to jclausius: once Clevo works, it works like hell. Before you get it working though... but oh well, that's past us. I'm a very happy user now.Attached Files:
