    Interesting. I don't know if I'm game enough now I've got my RAM running right. I think I'll just wait for Prema goodness.

    I'd do the same, no point risking having a bricked laptop so soon over some limited stock BIOS.

    Just uploaded version .98 of control center to mediafire for anyone who wants it. I have installed it and it is working well, no fan issues whatsoever. Here is the link:

    It does seem to be working a lot better than previous versions, it's even keeping the correct power settings instead of dropping them down to half when hammering the CPU

    Yes I got them from the official clevo website, however you will not find this version if you go to their P870DM2/3 repository. It is in the P65xRP6 repository, this model seems to consistently have its drivers updated before clevo's flagship models! Its ridiculous. In the case of the control center, these drivers are compatible with the P870DM2/3. Not all the other drivers are, so be careful what you download and install. Also, always download from the Asian server as the other servers generally do not have the latest version. Of course the Asian servers are really slow, 3 hours to download control center .98, hence why @Phoenix setup this thread so you can download them quickly.

    I would never install the Control Center from a diff. laptop model. As per what Prema told me before, each control center is designed to work with the model it was intended for, different fan tables you know.

    I do steal other drivers from the P65xxRP6 as the muppets at the Clevo Drivers team always update the non flagship model drivers first :rolleyes: The only thing I don't use is touchpad drivers, fingerprint reader drivers, and Control Center as those are specific to the laptop model.

    Good to know. So far I have not had any problems myself, actually the complete opposite is true. With every control center version release for the P65xxRP6 the fan behavior has improved for my P870DM2. However I will stop recommending using the P65xxRP6 versions as users mileage seems to vary a lot with these drivers. Hopefully, when Prema releases his bios, we can finally not have to worry about fan tables being changed/corrupted!

    I tried CC .98 on a P775DM3, and whilst the CPU side seems a lot better, the GPU fan kicks in much earlier, and at a higher/louder setting than when I use CC .50. Hopefully they'll release this version with the correct fan profiles for the P775DM2/3's and the P870DM3's

    looks like they will always integrate XTU from now on. I am using .50 now but I did this from the moment I got the laptop so nothing ever messed up with the fan tables to start with. I hope you did an NVRAM reset

    Thanks for notifying me, probably the Clevo server files were still the older version when I downloaded it despite it saying .21 in the name of the driver.

    I will redownload it now and upload it and let you know

    @Eedeathstar

    I just downloaded .21 again, the files are still for .18!

    Typical Clevo BS! Man Their drivers team sucks so much!

    @Prema

    Do you know how can I get the actual .21 of SBX?

    I wouldn't touch any Station Drivers with a 10 feet pole. Just my 2 cents. Last time I installed the latest IRST from them my system would freeze randomly and cause weird errors. Didn't think it was the driver until later I formatted and installed the one form Intel and it was fine. a month later, Intel posted that same driver version which was on Station Drivers, so I tried it and it was also fine. Point is, I don't trust any driver from Station Drivers anymore

    Mostly because you need the matching OROM version/FW, moreover when you're installing IRST's full package instead of just drivers...properly identifying system specific driver packages (non-official). There's no better source than station drivers for both enthusiasts and modders.

    Intel's RST/RST(e) AHCI/RAID Drivers (source StationDrivers)

    Currently working on this little mod, much better than SBXFiMB5 dog feces (quoting @Mr. Fox here :D)

    liquid ultra is liquid metal and thus conductive as well. the major advantage it has over all other metal pastes is its texture: its easier to apply and generally handle, since its not as "liquid" as other liquid metal pastes (i.e. phobya LM, liquid pro or conductonaut)

    Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra is less watery. Less risk that liquid metal will flowing out when you carrying your laptop :cool:

    I can only go from personal experience, but I used Grizzly Conductonaut on my P775DM3 on both the CPU and GPU with no issues. I take my laptop into work everyday so it's being moved around a lot. Only thing I would say is to look up how to apply the liquid metal and be very careful as it's very easy to end up with small balls of metal everywhere which aren't easy to clean off

    im guessing ure blessed with perfectly fitting heatsinks then ;) still, one little medium bump and the metal paste will be all over the place (unless youve taken extra precaution, like sealing off the areas around the heatsink with electrical tape or such), i can promise you that :)

    Been moving it around for around a month, and I'm not particularly careful with it. Once it's in the bag, it gets thrown in the boot of the car driven over bumpy country farm tracks and walked around with it on it's side in the bag when I have to leave the car, so it's already had a lot of heavy bumps.

    I was extremely careful on how much I put on. I put on a very small amount then mounted the heatsink, removed it again to check contact then cleaned and re-pasted again so I could get way with as little as possible

    its not that much from what ive read. it should be anywhere between 1 and 3C at the most, so in the end negligible. especially if you compare that with higher safety for your hardware components ;)
