Hello everyone, I have just landed on " http://www.clevo-systems.com" - does anyone know them ? Are they OK ?
Actually in the UK, you can go to the Companies House and check out a company, their directors, their accounts, registered address etc, how do I do the same in Germany ? I tried "clevo-systems" and came up with nothing on https://www.unternehmensregister.de...onid=4E881A8FCD30E5457C1CFCB6CF2AE2E7.web02-1 -
I would stay far away from eXTREEMalna rozrywka i praca. Wydajne laptopy Clevo dla Graczy i Grafików - XTREEM.pl . They have to have the worst customer service I've ever come across.

Added a Finnish reseller per request on Instagram (yes believe it or not).
Fixed a few links.
Thanks to all -
You know, I could make a Clevo only dedicated website, using noteb.com technology. Just need someone to maintain it.

@jaug1337 Nostra Computersysteme looks like that this homepage is not longer existend.
when i click on the link i get the homepage of an cellphone shop. -

I can recommend https://clevo-computer.com/
Very good prices, very friendly and fast support. The CPU on my P870KM-G was damaged after a few weeks (bad luck i guess) and they replaced it so that the NB came back after 1 day.
There is a good offer right now: https://clevo-computer.com/e-sport-...laptop-nvidia-gtx-1070-1070-sli-mxm-promo?c=6
where you can buy a GTX 1070+8600K laptop for 1400€. -
- Dream Machines is listed under Portugal. It's actually a Polish company..
-
Wait that dream machine sells across europe ?
-
yes dream machines sells acrosseurope and are prema partner. funny thing they offer for ALL CLEVOs a prema bios.
-
I notices their prices are pretty decent any other resellers with good prices?

MM-Vision in Denmark hasn't stocked Clevo laptops for about half a year by now, Shark Gaming is currently the only Danish reseller...
Which is a damn shame because Shark Gaming is rather expensive.
PC specialist in the UK sells more models, has more options, offers their laptops with local language keyboards, names prices as local currency including local VAT, includes shipment in their prices to most of Europe and they're cheaper, so I ordered from them instead.
The UK better come out with some sort of free trade agreement because we're drowning man and the German stores aren't terribly helpful. They really seem like they should be listed as cross-European?jaug1337 likes this. -
I am going to wait moving the UK for now... everything is still unclear.Last edited: May 7, 2019MiSJAH likes this. -
We used to co-operate for a while (XMG with Shark Gaming edition) and it was a pleasure to work with the team, but that's about it.

Overall they don't really seem to be trying to market across the EU the same way, see the stuff I mentioned PC Specialist did the moment it registrered I was from Denmark:
- Set prices to DKR.
- Made it clear which models had a Scandinavian Keyboard.
- Had easy to access pages with sales terms, support, anticipated arrival date, Q&A.
- Danish language support (though I don't need it), along with others.
It just seems like they had thought about appealing to the wider market they shipped to.Last edited: May 7, 2019 -
Our new online shop bestware.com is doing a better job of being fully translated into English. Check out https://bestware.com/en/
But you are right, some of the features you mentioned are not implemented yet.
At any rate, our support team is well-versed in English and the currency translation should not be a show-stopper. We offer Danish, Norwegian and Finnish/Swedish keyboards for all of our laptops. Our warranty and support package can be read here.
I will feedback your post to our eCommerce team and make sure that you are heard. While we finish furnishing out Bestware.com and laying mySN.de to rest, I'm sure we will find proper ways to appeal even more to our pan-European customer base.
Any more questions, feel free to post here or send me a PM!
Cheers,

Is there a tax from the EU to the UK that causes a more than 10% price difference? -
I bought my machine through mm-vision, and within a short while it was delisted. I was still able to purchase some spare parts from them after that though. As stated in this thread, shark-gaming is rather expensive and from what I can see only offer the p7xxTM1 chasis.
-
I checked with our Product Manager. The XMG ULTRA 15 and 17 have a pretty standard calculation currently. I have a hard time explaining the pricing of PCS in this particular case.
Generally speaking, our margins might be slightly higher, but we also are selling with 3 year warranty (parts and labour) by default, whereas PCS is only selling with 1y on parts by default, described as "2 year warranty (1 year on parts, 2 on labour)".
Anyway, we welcome the competition from our British friends and neighbours, it keeps us up on our toes!
Btw, congratulation on your purchase of the P775TM1, it's an amazing machine. Feel free to try our Premium BIOS to unlock some additional options: Download Link of EC/BIOS for P775TM1(-G)

Thanks for the reply.
What's the difference between your unlocked BIOS/EC and Prema's?
Thanks. -
In Prema, pretty much everything is unlocked, which is cool.
We only unlocked valuable options that we deem to be 100% safe (no risk of breaking things).
Our BIOS is built and fully supported by Clevo, including all upcoming updates to the base code.
Features include:
-- Intel Tech --
Intel VT-d
Intel SGX
Intel Hyperthreading
Intel TurboBoost
Intel SpeedShift
Intel Management Engine
-- Components --
Webcam
Internal Microphone / HD Audio
Wifi / Bluetooth
-- Other --
Above 4GB MMIO BIOS Assignment
Fast Boot
SATA Port
m.2 SSD Port
-- CPU Voltage --
CPU Core Voltage Offset
CPU Cache Voltage Offset
Graphics Voltage Offset
Graphics Media Voltage Offset
Graphics Undervolting in the BIOS applies to iGPU and has no effect in P7xxTM. It's a relict from using the same Premium standard in all MSHybrid and UMA laptops. Thanks to Prema for pointing it out.
Undervolting is implemented in a drop-down menu in BIOS setup and limited to -100 or -120mV (depending on CPU).
Overvolting is not possible in our BIOS.
We understand that it is indeed possible to undervolt below -120mV, but we wanted to avoid Bluescreens and customers returns at all cost, hence we limited it a little bit.
This is now our official standard BIOS for most XMG and SCHENKER series with full warranty.
Any more questions, please let me know!
Cheers,

We only support systems that have a solid hardware foundation, are held back by their stock firmware and where only having more BIOS options isn't enough to unleash their hidden potential.
Another aspect is hardware upgrade support after a system is EOL.
e.g. on P870TM1-G we have added full RTX Plug'n'Play, real 96/128GB RAM (fully accessible in OS) and R0 (9900/T/KS etc) CPU support as well as updated the system with the latest security patches after Clevo has stopped supporting it.Last edited: Jul 2, 2019Notebookbackbreaker, Papusan, FTW_260 and 1 other person like this. -

@XMG , @SagerPR , @Meaker@Sager Do you know when these new 4K 120Hz 17" panels would become available, who is the producer and if they would fit into current lineup of Clevos?
https://press.razer.com/press-releases/crafted-for-creators-razer-blade-studio-edition-laptops/
- The Razer Blade Pro 17 Studio Edition will feature a series of firsts, including a new 4K 120Hz display panel, an Intel® Core™ i9-9880H processor, and the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 mobile GPU. These major upgrades to the Razer Blade Pro 17 Studio Edition allow it to rival even the most powerful of desktop workstations.

I bought 5 devices from bestware.com and now a sales rep emails me to tell me that they cannot deliver from germany to france. What sort of excuse is this ?
I got a discount at the website and feel that you are backing out of it.
I call and I call but no one answers. The lines are always busy. -
@Tootsie69 can you please pm me your name or email address so I can check this quickly? Please note that it is a public holiday tomorrow (10th) so the office is closed, but I can try and find out some more details now for you.
EDIT: I have found your order and the conversation that you had with our order management representative on Thursday last week (through sheer powers of deduction - the only French customer of ours to order 5 laptops in the sale on that day!!!).
This is the message sent on Thursday - as you can see it's purely advisory:
"Dear Mr. *******,
thank you for your order.
Please not that we can not process your bestware order as intra-Community delivery.
If you want an Intra-Community delivery then we have to cancel your bestware order and refund you payment.
Afterwards you will get an offer from our business sales team.
Please let us know, how to continue with your order."
I can't say with 100% certainty until my colleagues in sales dept. tell me on Tuesday, but to be it looks like they thought it might be an order from a company (as you ordered 5 laptops at one time) and they just wanted to point out that if you were indeed ordering from a company, they wouldn't be able to refund you the tax on the order.
The email wasn't stating what would happen, it was just telling you that if you wanted the order processed in a certain way for tax purposes (intra-community = zero rating the sales tax on an order from one EU country to another EU country) then to please let us know, so that we could process the order for you correctly.
It definitely isn't anything more than an email to let you know about something - it seems that it doesn't apply to you so all should be good. Definitely no ducking out of the promotion price or issues with shipping to France.
However - I can see how this email could cause confusion, for a private customer who isn't aware of intra-community tax rules or why they might be suggested to them. I will speak to the web guys and have the language cleared up so that it is more precise and defined in its advisory manner, who is might apply to and what action should be taken it if is - or if it is not - applicable to the person who recieves the email.Last edited: Jun 9, 2019 -
@XMG
Thank you for your reply. I haven't received a reply to my email, nor have I been able to reach your customer support on the different phone numbers.
I am not a company and I am ordering them for myself.
Can you please get in touch with them, see if they can check for no dead pixels.
Do you think I can repaste them without voiding the warranty ?
Do you guys do liquid metal pasting ? -
@Tootsie69 It was a public holiday in Germany today so the office has been closed, but I'm sure they will get back to you tomorrow. If you've told them that you're not a company then the order will be fine as it is.
All laptop panels are checked before they ship by default, it's included in the Quality Control checks ;-)
[Update from XMG|Tom]
For the pasting: we don't do Liquid Metal because it's very difficult to remove in case of RMA and it often has adverse effects because it has no tolerance for heatsink angle and variation in pressure. Thermal paste is supposed to fill gaps, Liquid Metal is too think to fullfill this function.
Cheers,

LoL thats some crazy clocks for the sli 1080's, 2,100 core clock is nuts for a laptop, do you pour liquid nitrogen over the dies? Mine goes to 80-85c on 1870 core clock, its way too much for my comfort zone. -
I'm embarrassed to ask this because there's a reseller feedback forum but what are currently the most recommended clevo resellers (especially in terms of build quality (better thermal paste, etc.)) ? I currently own a Clevo P170SM-A (Schenker) and I've never had a problem with it or with mysn but I never had to deal with the customer service (well I could have but returning the laptop was not worth it), so it's difficult for me to judge the added value of mysn vs another.
-
I can whole heartedly suggest Obsidian PC out of Portugal if you are in Europe.
-
@ jaug1337 you still link to "mySN" in Germany but they're now bestware.com. Also it looks like iBUYPOWER in Germany has stopped selling notebooks and is all-desktop now. And while you're in there, the Germany section includes 2 different links to "dubaro.de".
-
The website was www.mysn.de but actually the company was and is still the same - Schenker Technologies. We still sell the same products as always, under our "XMG" consumer orientated and "SCHENKER" business orientated sub brands - just now under the new website where there is a larger selection of products (IT, VR, gaming etc) than on the www.mysn.de site. -
-
Found another site/shop. https://skikk.eu
-
I may have exhausted my checking but are there any UK resellers who'll sell barebones?
Thanks. -
Europe (Germany):
https://www.barebone-notebooks.com/
https://www.gamingguru.de/ (Same company)
I hope they are good, because I'm just ordered. Anyway the communication, and the response time is very good! (Some reseller can't answer my question in 3 days.)

I'm missing the company i work for (SKIKK) ;-)
Company: SKIKK
Location: Europe
