You're doing a great job!![]()
Here is what I was thinking of.
This code:
...will produce this:Code:[plain] Denmark [LIST] [*]XNB® Computers Danmark, high performance laptops [*]MM-Vision A/S - Specialister i Computer, Notebook, Mediacenter og PC Hardware. [*][url=http://www.novabook.dk/]Nova Books - Velkommen til Nova Book - Notebooks for everyone[/url] [/LIST] [/plain]
I feel like this editing will make it easier to distinguish the links from each other. However, this is tidious work, hehe...![]()

Or you could use tables like I do in the Clevo BIOS section.
-
Second, I just used your method and I must admit it looks quite well. Also it's quite time consuming but oh well someone gotta do itEnjoy
You can feedback if you like, I might use your tables if you feel it would work better
P.S. I also changed all the website URL's to their original splash name to not confuse people. -
Honestly I don't think those lines make a lot of difference.
-
would appreciate if you could teach me to do those kind of tables you did

On topic: Just fixed some bugs in names and such. -

What about adding in which resellers are on this forum and how to contact them, just like the one for the US resellers? konsulten.se, mysn.de and myself are about off the top of my head. I'm sure there are a few more though.

Nitpickin' time ... re the thread title: Switzerland and Turkey are not in the EU, and Turkey isn't even in Europe. Well, they are sort of halfway in, but ...
If it's European Clevo resellers you want, I can add http://www.multicom.no/ in Norway. Norway is not in the EU either, btw. Europe and the European Union (EU) is not the same thingThere are something like 23 European countries that are EU members, about 18 are not.
So - If you want EU resellers only, you should kick out the Swiss and the Turks from the list in the first post.
If you really mean European resellers (+Turkey) the thread title is misleading. -
Very keen on getting a laptop from either PwnPCs.co.uk or PCSpecialist.co.uk, i'm just waiting to see what the Ivy Bridge model laptops will be like. Have waited far too long to buy a laptop!
-
I don't see the 7970M on MySN website.
-
Unfortanetly I'm just really busy at the current moment, so I'll come back later today and answer why I've done how I've done.
I'm sure of that
-
I'm also ordering from one of those two, I don't think the Danish resellers look particularly reputable and they don't carry what I want anyway. Shame, really.
-
Plus, few centuries back the Turkish European territory went almost as far as Vienna. But, then at end of the 18th and finally beginning of the 20th century we finally pushed back into Asia.
EU has 27 member states, next year to get the 28th. While Swiss and Norway aren't in EU per se, they are members of the economic area and other organisations, rendering the EU membership for these two countries unnecessary.
Turkey is another story. They have close ties to Europe culturally, economically and politically. EU membership is decades away at this point. Lets say I am from Greece and there is no re-sellers in Greece. Turkey is my neighbouring country. There are Clevo re-sellers there. I go and order a piece of tech from them. AND, since I (say) live 10 km from the border, it arrives after 7 days... Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, when the people ask about European re-sellers they are actually looking for any info on the closest as possible re-seller. Sure, their hometown based re-seller would be the best. -
IMHO, Turkey, Sweden, Norway etc. they should all be in this thread. This is the only list like this and why dividing things, when we could have one proper list?
Shipping between all those countries on the "European continent" is much easier than getting it from overseas. -

There are a few countries that would qualify for both European and Asian inclusion, like Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Georgia.
But the main point is, that if this list is going to be like a "where is the dealers closest to me?" kind of a list, then surely EU membership or not is irrelevant. -
-
BLUEMOBILITY
You should ask them - they speak English -

Okay here we go, this post is going to be freaking large
enjoy the read !
Switzerland and Turkey are in the political geography of EU. There are various common definitions of Europe and I'm not here to educate anyone about them all, nor do I know them all either.
Now the actual real members of the EU Union are the digits: 27. 27 countries are in the real EU or w/e it's called.
These countries are obligated to some rules but on the other hand they thereby subject to the privileges and obligations of EU membership! In this case, free shipping and VAT-control by country etc etc
Some countries are geographically inside Europe, and I've made my choice to include them in this thread.
I will make it rather understandable and simple, those who are not in the EU Union will be marked somehow (I will get onto something to make it simple) so people will know that the general EU rules do not apply towards them.
I personally thinks that's a legit way to fix itpeople all over Europe should enjoy Clevo's and with that being said I hope I've answered your nitpickin'
)
But as I march onto deeper grounds I must admit that several precautions must be taken so I've chosen to set several marks, references and such to make it easier for the buyers to recognize which resellers are in the EU Union by the face of the earth and which are by a membership.
again, see above.
P.S. It's 2:04 here so if I do make grammatical mistakes or some weird explanation it's because I'm tired and I've got school tomorrow.. (actually today)
... but nevertheless I hope I answered all of your questions, I'll update the OP asap! -
Cheers for this list, too bad PWNPC's doesn't ship to Denmark. Might just have to go with PCSpecialist.co.uk instead... hopefully their prices can compare.
-
Scott's post: http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...esellers-european-union-v1-7.html#post8464686 -
Huh, I looked over the website but couldn't find anything. Cheers for that information -
And with that free shipping, I can't think of anything else you would want. Not even MySN.de has a NBR discount nor a discount or any kind. PWNPC's, IMO, offer a lot of god options and with if you bargain enough with them anything can happen
btw: If you want there are resellers in the DK too, but that VAT is killing mebetter off with PWNPC's right now
-
In that case I will definitely be purchasing from PWNPC's, it's just a matter of when I get the money to make the purchase
Hopefully in the next week or two.

So basically VAT cannot make the difference between UK and DK -
The UK has a lower VAT than DK. Here in Europe, there's something called European Union value added tax (EU VAT) that requires that all the countries with the privileges of being in the EU Union, are supposed to have a standard VAT minimum rate of 15%.
In the Nordic countries (Scandinavia) we've got something called MOMS, MVA, VSK), and the Finnish ALV) // (basically the Nordic terms for VAT). Anyways the current standard rate of VAT in Denmark is 25%. That's insanely high!
The UK has a rate of 20%, Hungary has a rate of 27% (sad for them) and Germany has 19%.
I hope I answered your "question" -
PC-Konsulten.se Company Representative
Well the difference is actually big.
A 1500 Euro (excl. VAT) system will sell for 75 Euro less in the UK than in e.g. Sweden. That makes a difference in terms of international competition. Now, if your sales hit a threshold of X (approx. 20 000 Euro) to a specific country you will have to use the VAT of the receiving country but I doubt anyone is following this rule.
As a result there is no way a Hungarian reseller can sell to end-consumers in other countries. -
Ok didn't know that you have actually 25% ... thats incredible...
I thought our austrian 20% are high...
haha, at least i know now why everything felt so expensive when i was in denmark -
dat VAT lol pain in de butt
-
Didnt have to pay VAT when I ordered my lappy (sig). According to our laws here, if its for personal (office) use with receipt for my company, I may not pay VAT. And I didnt. That saved me the 19% of the end price when I ordered it from Germany (NEXOC).
As it stands right now, I have no idea what its gonna be if I order from the UK this year. Need to do research on that. -

Summary: When buying as a company it does not matter where you import from, you should only bother with excl. VAT prices. As a consumer it does and then you want to buy from a low VAT country and look at the incl. VAT price. -
