Don't worry about it. You could start a South American thread on the same lines though. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would appreciate it.

Does deviltech ship in the rest of Europe? probably not cause i don't see English language anywhere. Too bad because they have really nice prices.

Is there another online store with similar prices that ships all over Europe?

    Thanks

Just to clear up a possible misunderstanding: DevilTech used to sell Clevo builds, but they have shifted their suppliers, and now use MSI barebones, for the most part - maybe a couple of Compal's as well.

Yes yes, except the fact that the machines they sell now have always been there. It's ONLY the Clevo's which they've chosen not to sell no more, the MSI barebones stayed and so did the Compal's :)

Clevo ofc... but some of those bigger MSI's are really awesome looking too! (especially the 17" models)

    I was expecting this answer :) .

I see in mySN.de that the prices are pretty good actually but the problem is that I can understand German. I see some strange charges at the payment options and I have no idea what they are.

I need a machine that is equal or under 900€ with 15.6" screen and a GPU that is equal or better then Geforce GT 650M. Witch model do you recommend?

I would recommend the XMG A102 or the XMG A502 .. the XMG A702 is also a possibility ;)

Take in mind that the A x0 y

    x = is the screen size, 1 = 11" .. the 5 = 15,6" .. the 7 = 17"

    and the

y = 2 the newer models 2012 models, while number 1 is the older 2011 models, avoid these :)

If you've got problems reading German, ask me in a PM I'll gladly help you, or else ask mySN.de here on NBR or send them a email at [email protected]
They speak fluently English and they are willing to help you through the process better than me, but feel free to pick your choice :)

Has anyone ordered from them? They have really cheap laptops.

    Clevo P150EM with i7 3610QM and GTX 675M 2Gb or Radeon HD 7970M 2GB for 1386,05€ o_O

I forgot to add the rest of the specs:

    GTX 675m or radeon 7970m
    i7 3610QM 2,3GHz
    8Gb DDR3 1600 MHz Corsair
    500Gb 7200rpm
    Wlan + bluetooth
    Windows 7 Home Premium

    This all for 1386,05 €

By the way, you seem to have ran out of XMG P502 Pros. Are you getting more soon.
A bit OT question, but is it possible to get XMG P502 Pro with Radeon 7970m before 9th of july?

We still have XMG P502 in stock, it's just the Glare-Type display that is missing. Thanks to your hint, we now switched to Non-Glare as default selection!

Regarding the 7970M before 9th of July: well, that all depends on how quickly Clevo resolves this delay situation. When they're ready for shipping we'd receive our units within a week. Add a couple of days for assembling and shipping of your order and you have your estimate...

As far as Clevo.fr and a couple others, I just noticed this on Clevo's website:

    October 31, 2011

" Please be advised that the following websites are not authorized to use the Clevo name and are not representatives nor affiliated with Clevo Co.

    www.clevo-europe.com
    www.clevo.fr
    www.clevo.ro"

Just an fyi so no one ever thinks they're buying directly from Clevo. Clevo-Europe and the .fr claim to be official distributors, which tells me we shouldn't trust them, at all, unless something has changed.

    Yes thank to you both.

I'm quite aware of the information regarding several resellers, besides these yes. I'm not here to validate the resellers nor compare them since I've seen several legit reviews from people that have bought from them. This could change if I somehow get information regarding a certain reseller trying to cheat a customer in some sort of way as I don't want to be responsible to be have a awful reseller on my list, but nor can I exclude the fact that more than 3 resellers have been caught with ES CPU's (and GPU I think, not sure) before.

Do comment if you have more information or send me a PM if you feel that a certain reseller should be removed (due to a request you have based on proof/information).

Again, thanks for the response ;)

P.S. The design overhaul will happen... soon, I'm bad at schedules :p

Any chance that MySN will sell the P702 or P502 with high color gamut screens in the future?
Be it glossy or matte...although matte would be better :)

    Thanks for the quick reply!

    @PWNPCS:
I see you guys have the P170EM model and the two 15 inch models. Do you maybe also have the W170ER? Truth be told, I dont think I need the massive GPU power of the 670 or 675 since I dont play any games. It would purely be for photo/video editing and some general/usual laptop use like office, movies etc.
Then, mind telling me which model screens you are using in the 17 inch? (both glossy and matte) I understand from various threads that the 15 inch models use the same as the W520 Lenovo.
And...hehe...sorry for bugging so much, but is the glossy screen also the 90% NTSC gamut that the US suppliers offer?
I have more questions but I can also contact you via PM or so?

    Hi Bosveld,

AU Optronics B173HW01 is the 17" Matte 60% Gamut. The glossy is the default Clevo one (still a very nice screen)

AU Optronics B156HW01 V.4 is the 15' Matte 95% Gamut, again the glossy is default Clevo.

If you purchase from PWNPCS we calibrate the screens with a SPYDER 4 before we send them out (requires windows)

Feel free to throw any questions up here, then it helps the next person looking for the information too!

    Scott and pao1ow,

Thanks for the comprehensive replies and pm from pao1ow!

The screens mentioned gets some very good recommendations, but I guess you meant that the 17 inch Matte screen from AOU has a 72% gamut? Scott? At least this is what I find elsewhere on the net. It als seems the glossy screen with the same model number from AOU is the 90% gamut one.

So some questions that might be of more general interest to ther people reading the thread:
    1. How hard will I cry with shipping cost to mainland EU?
    2. What if I need to flex the warranty (not that I would ever want to...): How would it work from outside UK?
    3. Are you guys flexible on other internal components such as SSD drives?

I see you guys will be getting the W170ER soon. Great! Just a pity there are hardly reviews out. Some reports on the fan noise and apparent crappy camera are scaring me a bit. For the rest it seems to fit the bill for what I want. Desktop replacement.
    Thanks again!

Some complementary information. Standard screens are mostly from AUO, LG or Hannstar.

    Better screens:

    15,6"
    AU Optronics B156HW01 V.4 (non-glare) 95% Gamut
AU Optronics B156HW01 V.7 (glossy) 95% Gamut (Best of them all)

    17,3"
    AU Optronics B173HW01 v.4 (glossy) 90% Gamut
    AU Optronics B173HW01 v.5 (non-glare) 72% Gamut

To see the true difference. Bring up a bright and colorful picture of a rainforest with the sea in the background.

I should have researched, I copied it off my suppliers page and it was wrong! PC-Konsulten has it correct!

    1. Not to hard, you're looking at about £30 to most places.

    2. It works, nothing for you to worry about :) You'd send it back to me, I would get it sorted then send it back to you.

    3. If it's not listed on my configuration page I have to buy it retail, if you want something else you could always buy it, get it shipped to me. I'm happy to install it.

W170 will probably go live this week. To give you an idea of price configure a W150 and add about £10!

    @Scott:
    Thanks for clarifying :)
The W170 sounds pretty cool, and all these screen options opening up to me is really awesome!
Would you recommend only going for SSD (120GB...or more?) if I have a NAS server for my media files?
While I would love to spec a super awesome laptop, the budget also has to be taken into aco :)

    @PC-konsulten.se:
Thanks a lot for the list! I even managed to browse your website in swedish :) Looks very cool.
A question: If I only look at the 17 inch model now, and you have both options of 90% glossy and 72% matte. How would you compare them? Some pics I saw seem to suggest the 90% glossy is not very reflective and has a strong backlight canceling out the effect of reflections.
Therefore...which would you choose? Bear in mind my laptop does not leave the house, but i do have a few open windows at a right angle to the laptop.

Thanks for the answers and help so far guys!

Got very disappointed today :(. I had ordered a P702 pro notebook with the 7970m on Friday from mysn.de and today I found out that it wont be available until two weeks from now. I didn't read this anywhere in their website. Maybe it is written somewhere but I didn't notice. Not sure. Bottom line is that I've got Diablo 3 sitting on my desk and no pc to play. Two weeks until it gets to germany and then few of days to get configured and tested plus the shipping time to Greece I'm easily looking at a month. I read in other posts that some people already got their systems in Portugal. I guess I'm the unlucky one...
