    Hey guys,

Sorry if I asked this earlier, but can you guys comment on the max battery life I can get on a Sager machine, specifically the Sager NP7220?

I agree whoever get the first one in the mail should post some videos of it. I honestly don't think there will be any difference but the fan noise was the only "problem" the np5793 had so if its wicked quiet now its has no draw backs imo

Sager does not advertise the brand because they want to flexibility to not always provide the same brand enclosure.

thanks for the info, but i will still choose the 1TB option on xotic... i was wondering about your powerPRO notebook the 15" which have a 9600mGT ddr3, is the notebook based on the m50sv design?? because it seems from the picture of the gallery, it has a numeric keypad by the side....

Im right now, im thinking of purchasing a 2nd laptop for my cousin; after choosing NP8860, i was thinking of getting either the ASUS M50V or PowerPRO P.. both have a very good price to offer :D

...weren't there some surprises promised this week sometime? Is that still nebulously happening in the future parts of this oh-so-painfully-waiting-to-buy-my-lappy week?

Can someone explain what eSata is really? Is it just so you can plug an external HD in? How is it different than a USB external HD?

esata is a whole lot faster then usb. The only issue is that it needs external power. So for quicker backups, esata is much better then usb, but if you just want to access small files like music and movies on the fly, stick with usb

What do you mean external power? Does having the port drain battery life at all or does that mean the power has to come from the external drive?

Power has to come from external drive.

But current 3.5" drives hooked up through USB need external power anyway so there's nothing new there. I'm guessing that 2.5" eSATA drives will also need external power?

What's the base model of the 15:3?

When you said early August, do you mean the first 7 days of August?
Can you guarantee that the people who preordered a week before release will get their system before September 1?

Early August could mean anywhere from the 4th to about the 12th. That is the current estimate, and Sager has been pretty good about meeting their delivery estimates.

However the key word at this time is estimate, so there is no way anyone can guarantee a ship date. However given your question regarding getting it by September 1st I can say that is a very high probability if it is going to a US address.

I am concerned though, you mentioned pre-ordered a week before release, which means you may well not have ordered a Sager because they were not available for pre-order until the release date of July 15th at 12:01 AM EST. Therefore nothing I say here could apply to any M860TU that is not Sager branded.

I think he means preordered a week before Sager resellers release their units. As in they pay you by around July 25-30. This question also applies to me because I leave for college the 28th, so I would really need it by the 20-21st to test it and make sure I'm not going to school with a dud.

Oh and also my birthday is August 11th, is there any chance of it getting in my hands that soon?

Shipping date questions should really be directed to your vendor. No one on the forum would know your specific details.

Well, I apologize. I thought you had already ordered.

For new orders it would still be best to contact your vendor and let them know what model you want and your shipping address, and then we can determine the approximate ship date and suggest the best shipping method to get it to you in time to meet your schedule.
