    No idea.

But another question: Has anyone tried Windows 10 yet on this laptop?
I'm wondering whether it recognises all the hardware components, since I guess there are not all drivers released for Win 10 yet or maybe never will be.

HI, just a quick one... bought 256GB Msata, installed system, everything is ok and kept the 1TB hdd inside, as a storage. so msata is syste and sata 1 normal non bootable partition.. but sometimes, the os doesn't recognize the sata hdd... or if yes, cant open folders nothing,so have to re-start pc or even turn it off for few minutes and turn on back again... just thinking if HDD is dying ( that is ok with me ) or MOBO ???

    thanks for help

Sounds like the drive; maybe its the logic board on it. I doubt its the motherboard. Have you checked the hard drive's SMART status/health report?

I have a similar problem with the SSD, sometimes when tying to boot it doesn't see the drive. I reboot a few times and it eventually starts.
    Crappy laptop.

Didn't see this until now. Which application did you use to examine? I imagine the drive is okay mechanically, but maybe has a problem electrically (again, the HDD logic board). Hopefully you got it resolved by now.

Have you checked in the power settings in the control panel? In the advanced power settings for the power mode you are on, you can set the maximum CPU usage for when it is on battery. I would make sure it is set to 100% in there.

    Hey guys
slightly stuck by the battery throttles (1.3Ghz max on battery) issue - sort of defeats the point of a 14.1 body if it can't be used fully on battery.
has anyone came across a bios mod / etc that fixes the throttles issue whilst on battery?

Try this tool and turn on options below (perhaps some don't really need)
    http://kawamoto.no-ip.org/henteko/myapp_en.html#ditherig
    • Fix to the highest
    • Fix CPU frequencies at the nominal value
    • Disable BD PROCHOT signal
    • Disable Running Average Power Limit
