so based on this i assume that the i5 8600K would be the top option working at the moment...?

So is it just not possible to activate HT with i7 CPUs? Is it something that can be fixed or is it just technically not possible?

The bios for p7xxDM2 seems to work with i7 if i look at ur list. Why doesnt it work with DM3? The DM2 uses a z170 if i remember correctly. Is this the difference?

I found a strange phenomenon when I restart from hacktosh ,if I insert the headphones to the 1st jack( neat the usb ), then the speakers can work,and if I insert the headphones to headphones, the headphone then is recognized as speaker instead of headphones, and can work.

It is possible but if you go get a programmer like ch341a then we can make things more faster

 

I have got a programmer before. And it seems that P750DM with P750DM2 BIOS that surpports 8th 6 core ethernet work most time. Sometimes it doesn't work ,but after restart it work. above bios only supports 6 core cpu. modified bios from TM I haven't test.

 

Any news about that p750dm?

I had flash 6.0B with a programmer.I boot my p751dm2 to windows successly，but after i unplug the mainbord battery，it can start，just a power led without hdd led.Now i buy a new MB battery，hope can fix it.
so do you think it is because of the MB battery？

I has used i7 8086k(Luckly, I bought it form Taobao, the owner thought it is QS CPU.) with P750DM1 that bios is modified from P750TM. But same with it that I flash the P750DM2's BIOS to P750DM, speaeker not work, shutdown not work. Speaker is not same with before situation.

I succeeded to Ver 3.0. But I don't understand the next way. I have a CH341a and a sop 8 and know how to use it.
1. As far as I'm concerned, CH341a ch and sop8 are used in BIOS ROM chips, right?
If this is true, where is the ROM chip located on the main board?
2. After applying 3.0, can I apply 6.0B bin file directly using CH341a? + I understand cpu picture ( isolate, sort)

 

Since the processor you mentioned is only rumoured, would you mind sharing some proof that you actually received it? Getting a photo of the heat spreader and/or a CPU-Z screenshot would be really cool.

Bios parttion was changed so after4.0 bios you need ch341a. And I can tech you how to use that

 

571dm2under the key board if you are using 775dm2 you have to teardown whole laptop to find it

The filtering won't impact the strength of the VRM, more how clean it is. Mostly it matters what chips are being used.

E6932 chips by the looks of things in a doubled chip single inductor 3 phase.

 

It's mine. But I have sold it to others. This cpu is cool, but same as 8700k, PxxDMx can't supports it absolutely. when it works at 4.6Ghz or more, the voltage is not stable. Although it can starts with 5.0 all core.

 

Early silicon can have stuff like power spikes beyond a certain voltage/frequency which could cause issues.

 

I didn't see anything about the P870KM1 on this list, I'll be so happy to upgrade it to 8700K, any thoughts?
