I'm pretty sure that someone in the forum also received that email unless that's you also. But I did not receive that email. Well, the email you gave us is worth a try to communicate with the CEO.

I think that's the brief. I googled the email address posted by Rambo and there was a single hit with that pdf brief.

Though it's still detected as a malware site by Google.

They seem to be getting a good point on the future of DIY notebooks. But with the kind of support they have been giving people, who an earth will wanna work with them ?

I guess someone who doesn't know them well.

I got that email from Matt. I used that address in my last few "PCMW Group" emails, but it no longer works. I got error messages back from that email.

 

I guess we can assume that they have flown the coup.

Still will need to get my laptop checked out sometime in July, so I guess I will be going to Sager direct.

For consideration of an additional warranty, what Sager reseller companies are willing to offer us 'ex' PCMW a warranty?

 

Here's a little bit of info that everyone might find helpful.

-PCMW does have 1 office out of the several that are located at 41829 Albrae St.
-The company has never had more than a few employees. It now has only 1; the CEO.
-There is usually no one for PCMW in the building.
-Packages are generally received by other companies in the building and distributed when present.
-PCMW buys mostly from Eurocom. Their original supplier was Mediawave. They often buy from Mediawave in smaller quantities and use them to do most of the more technical repairs.
-CEO is Matthew Thomas O'Byrne. Some may know the "sales rep" Thomas Matthews...

I would not hassle anybody coming from the building though. It's a 99% chance that it's not a PCMW employee and you'll end up pissing off one of the other companies there. Just some friendly advice. Good luck everyone.

 

Just a heads up, I've been able to call them yesterday and told them about all the fuzz going around here. They told me it's the second time that they were having the email and telephone problems and they told me that they may have not received any email for the past few weeks because of this.

They also know about their site being an attack site and that is their top priority rght now. They are sure that the will be back to normal soon and they are very sorry for this.

I asked them if they have any financial problems and they replied certainly not. They told me that they will be having my laptop shipped mid next-week and asked me to call back Wednesday next week to check the status of the repair.

I talked to them for 20-25 minute making sure I use that opportunity for that matter.

 

That's reasonable advice - that folks worried about their computers not start antagonizing or harrassing other residents of the office building in which PCMW has its offices.

Ordinarily I would not publicly post a picture of someone who may be subject to much public odium; however, the picture I am posting below is a matter of public record that could be easily located by anyone searching for it, so I am not breaching any matter of privacy or confidentiality by posting it up here. In addition, while Mr. O'Byrne may not appreciate having his mugshot appear on NBR, that may save some of the more innocent tenants of the office building in question from being harrassed or button-holed by anxious PCMW customers, so on balance, I think the equities favor posting the picture.

So, courtesy of the Braxos County Sherriff's department, and their Jail records, comes this 2006 DUI arrest record, which includes a mug-shot of Matthew O'Byrne as he looked back in 2006:


While that picture is three years old, Mr. O'Byrne was 21 at the time and is about 24 now, so the picture should still be a reasonable facsimile of his current appearance. Keep in mind, stalking or harrassing anyone, regardless of how p.o.'d they've made you, is illegal in California.

Let's just all be clear that Mr. O'Byrne, notwithstanding his childish behaviour, is not to be stalked, harrassed, attacked, physically assaulted, or be the subject of any other activity that would be criminal in California, ok folks?

As for his looks, I'm over 40, so to me, everyone under 40 looks like a smarmy punk, so I really can't tell the difference.
