RUN! IT'S LAPZILLA!! *faints*
Dude, that's insane -
By the way, how much is it going to cost? 6.5k?
-
I know, Dude!
I am so pumped right now...got tired of waiting on the m17x and realized I could get one of these shipped in 3-7 days....I'm having it next day aired once it's ready.
It blows an m17x out of the water...and this configuration with next day airis less than the m17x because i'm getting the 3% rebate.
No freakin' contest. Period.
Edit: Under $6.2K with the rebate -
Well, I'm pretty sure you'll have fun with Lapzilla!
-
Holy ****
Nothing that laptop cant do. Awesome. That 3xSSD really was the topping of the cake -
-
insane, is it actually even possible to do anything more to that configuration? ..... and thats a rhetorical question
-
Rhetorical...I'll answer anyway
You could actually go with the Q9550, but the performance vs price against the Q9450 didn't make sense to me. (Thanks Chaz)
But it is pretty much maxed other than that.
Of course I wish I could wait until the 9800mGTX SLI comes out, but I can't.
This will do just fine for now... -
$6.2k.. That's 3 pimped out 860tu's... or 4 great desktops... or 20 EEE PC's...
That thing has got to be the 1337est notebook available right now -
Lapzilla is almost an understatement on that monster! Thats epic!! Grats dude, seriously nice system you got there.
Cant wait to get mine ordered, not as pimp as you, but then again we cant all be the alpha dog!
Hope its all you want it to be, and knowing Sager... probably more then you expected hehe. Grats again! -
Holy $@!$@!! That is one sick configuration!
Welcome to the family!! -
you beat my ordered laptop
-
Damn!! I wish I have half of that for a well configed 860TU.
Have fun with ............. her!!! And I don't mean *** -

Congrats! That is the most insane configuration I have ever seen. I hope it's worth it for you.
-
yea man thats the way to go!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS MAN!!! i hope it will give you years of service!
on another note:
anyone check out xoticpc, they took out the 64gb ocz ssd core hard drives? any idea why? -
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
Sager is no longer offering the 64GB OCZ SSD drives, they are only offering the 128GB OCZ SSD drives due to supply issues.
-
we want a reviews.... especially benchmarks for that beast.
I wanna see HDtune on those three SSD drives. -
welcome to the Np9262 Clan
-
Madness!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Once it arrives I'll try to do an unboxing vid.
Definitely a review...
Then Benchmark requests for those who want them.
I'm pumped... -
nice hey does the raid 0 configuration increase the speed of the three ssds or will it be the same if it was just one ssd?
-
he supposed to save 66% of loading time with 3hhd raid 0
-
wow thats amazing, i gotta get me some of that, would 2 ssd in raid give me that kind of performance? prob not but hopefully 33%? i wanna impress my macbook pro friends with my boot time hopefully ill beat them hehehe, cant wait to order mine!!
-
congrats on the extreme purchase!
my friendly advice to you would be;
1; get the 3 year sager warranty for such an expensive purchase, deduct something else in order to fit in budget, if need be.
2; dump the 8 gig of slower 667 ram and go with the faster 800 ram and 4 gigs (unless you just need to have 8 gigs now for pro work). i would think they will come out with 8 gig 800mhz ram soon enough and you can upgrade then.
3; have them put the first 2 drives in raid 0 and the 3rd drive as independant so you can manually back up the important stuff onto it. with 3 drives in raid 0 you tripple your chances of hard drive failure and if one goes out you will permanently lose all your data. with one drive acting as manual backup the data will be there if either the raid array fails or if the 3rd drive fails. you will still have the benefit of raid 0 on the first 2 drives and with ssd i think you got plenty of speed! -
Really good advice,
However I have a 500GB External that I back up everything to.
The 4G for the 8G Memory is probably a better choice as well, but I definitely have the need for pushing a lot of apps at once as this Beast will be used for Work as well as play...
I got the 2 year complete...I'll upgrade later if I feel it's necessary.
Thanks! -
...
lol -
Yeah, but it's $190.00
$190.00 is a $190.00
That more than pays for next day air, lmao -

I think ARom was asking you "...what rebate?" Who is giving the rebate, and for what?
-
Xoticpc.com gives a 3% rebate for paying with a check, money order, or wire transfer.
I just assumed with the "lol" at the bottom he was laughing because it doesn't seem to be much of a rebate. -
-
Just out of curiosity, what are you gonna use it for apart from gaming?
-
Work...
I have a lot of programs open at any given time including Microsoft Office 2007 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended and Photoshop CS3.
Plus when you throw in antivirus, spy sweeper, and ad-aware...it gets bogged down quick. -
-
Crow what are u running for A/V?
-
My Fiance' uses The Shield Deluxe, it seems to be really good as well.
I hate Norton's and McAfee has failed me as well. -
that should rock
-
How do you even afford such a thing. I would imagine with all those things, it would heat up quite quick. xD
BUT HOW DO YOU AFFORD SUCH A THING! If I asked my parents for a 6.2K laptop they;d just ignore me and pretend I don't exist... lol. -
-
I'd assume that Crow rarely asks his parents to buy things for him anymore seeing how he has a fiance now
-

Why don't u wait until early august and get the 9800 GTX??? im kinda of thinking about waiting a little more for 9800 GTX in sli,not sure if it is worth it, but m gonna wait for 9800 GTX for sure
-
That is absolutely insane. I cannot wait for your review, and congratulations on the purchase. I hope it rocks beyond all comprehension.
-
I would love to wait and get the 9800mGTX in SLI, but there is no set date as to when it will be available in August.
I need something now...I can upgrade later. Waiting 2 months on a laptop is not appealing to me.
EDIT: (shown in red) -
i saw eta for 9800 GTX on xoticpc early august, if this is true, i am going to place my order first day of august
.....or should i wait for the sli...this may never end
-
You have to remember that the Sager notebooks allow you to upgrade the GPU(s) yourself. It's not that tough, so you can upgrade later.
And I too want to see you review your monstrosity of a laptop. -
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
However early August is a dream at this point. -
EArly august is when they are releasing the 9800m GTX so sli being released at the same time is pretty slim
Finally Received my refund from AW and placed an order for an NP9262 MONSTER
