I'm pretty sure most retailers will only have their sites updated tomorrow morning, around the time that was previously scheduled.

Assuming you have both of those options, GTS is a "higher ranked" suffix than GT.

Based on cached nvidia pages, the 9800 GT has more GFLOPS, but as far as I know, the GTS cards are usually supposed to be better than the GTs aren't they? (Correct me if I'm wrong, please.)

To help save battery life, several of the Intel processors will have thermal envelopes of 25 watts compared to the standard 35 watts. Other power-saving features include Intel Dynamic Acceleration and Deep Power Down, which allows for components such as the core clocks and cache memory to shut down when not needed.

That might be how the low power / low noise mode can be usable.

Dia there was a heated debate about that. The final answer was No, the 860TU will just have the discrete nvidia card rather then both.

Upgrading the CPU on your own will be very costly and it will void your warranty.

How much would it cost if, say, you sent in your 5793 to get an X9000 put in?

Well according to the price list released by Intel the Mobile Quad Core when bought by itself would be close to $1000, so better to wait for the release and then buy the laptop with it so you don't pay the full price.

Paladin or Justin -- can you divulge any details on the performance of the 9800M GT? Was that cached nVIDIA site earlier citing 360 gigaflops for this card accurate?
