Maybe you get such a good overclock because of your temps, I max out around 90C (that's with the heatsink clean).

I'm going to try using a cooler and overclocking with your bios.

I'm not letting mine max out. I think theres some FSB overclocking which is upping my clocks a little without my knowledge. Furmark was getting it over 95c. At least I think, I closed it right away.

After a certain point the temps started rising a lot faster.
I don't know if my heatsink is properly seated. It really makes me mad the guy who sold it to me, I wish I could find a new one so badly.

Paralel, did you set the critical temps to 85c in your bios? if so, you probably dont want to use it Moral... see screenshot :/

I swear the .10 BIOS is MUCH better for stability in overclocking. Here it is again attached.
Also feel free o try 1.05v by clicking on 1.03v with hexview open and changing the 67 to 69

I have this fan, I'm working on fitting it in and making a shroud so its pretty difficult. But its 12v 1.2a and puts out the most air I've ever seen for a blower. its about an inch thick and wide as the current m860 shroud.
I'm not sure if it will help at all though. :p unless I aim the shroud at the GPU and add an active sink?
I hate that it COULD go higher if not for temps. Its the only thing slowing me down.

I'm assuming you have tried 'right click>unlock max VID/FID'

Dont you have a QAJF? And it doesn't have temp sensors or unlocked multipliers? Maybe it was someone else...
Those are kind of rare and odd apparently.

I have a qavr which is basically exactly like qx9300 but at 2.4 stock.
Also I can't get 1.3v with 1.05v GPU. So maybe somehow that could be the problem.

Yeah I noticed that, I'll change it to 100c before I flash.

.10 is better for me too, I'll try 1.05v, thanks for the tip on how to do it.

Do you think 1.1v would be safe?

I don't know if thats possible. 1.04v and weird stuff like that isn't.
I would try downloading some random desktop card vbios and see if any have modes for over 1.05v. personally I wouldn't try just increasing the hex value randomly (or methodically), but I dunno.

I got the '69' 1.05v byte from the gtx 280m vbios.

If I remember correctly, my 9800m GS had 1.1v as an option, let me try to find my vbios from it.

EDIT: Found it, only has 1.06v, here it is:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/gam...mobile-video-bios-database-2.html#post6625020

EDIT#2: My 9600m GT vBIOS has an option for 1.16v , see above link.

Could probably get 650mhz with that voltage, but I wont try it yet. Maybe when I get a new game that needs the power.

That was it. Didn't know about the right-click options.

I also have a QAVR. I'd ever buy an ES with no temp sensors.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that. I set it at that point so there wasn't any chance I could hit a temp while I wasn't monitoring it that would put the card at risk, since I can't afford to replace it if I scorch it.

    The 285M scores around 6k.

I have REALLY been wondering the same thing lately except with an fx 3800m. I mean you could probably hit like 800mhz core on that thing, but with a voltage of 1.32????

not 1.03, 1.3... might as well do some ridiculous voltage IC hardmod... maybe thats not the right voltage.
