NP5790- Can't wait!

When did you order? Mine still says "PRE-ORDER Pending Item Arrival" and I ordered June 19th.

 

Yeah, I ordered mine July 1st and it's still at PRE-ORDER Pending Item Arrival.

 

mine is still phase 1 order confirmation. my card still hasn't been charged either. is there any reason it would not have charged yet?

 

like the Sager reps said:

"the email confirmation for shipment/tracking number will be sent to the customer one business day after it has been sent"

Since today was the first day for shipments, then the customers that had it in pre-order status would receive an email for shipment confirmation tomorrow.

 

Tomorrow is not a business day.

Those that shipped today should expect a tracking number on Monday which is the next business day.

I ordered a wee bit later than you two, so I don't know if your status update is just delayed, or if I happened to configure readily available parts, but I guess I got "lucky".

 

The point is that no one should expect to have their tracking numbers until Monday since the first few shipped today.

More will ship starting Monday of next week, and pre-orders should all be shipped by about Wednesday, with their tracking numbers following on the next business day.

 

thanks for the info, it's easy for me to get worried when several thousand dollars seem to be in limbo.

what form of payment did you use? I used my credit card and ordered on July 12th and on the 13th I was in Phase 3 (sent to production), you ordered long before me so there is a problem.

 

Orion, you will see your order status change Monday. Any others that have previous orders you will see your status change next week

 

I used a credit card as well. It should all be good, I'll wait a few days and see what happens the beginning of next week.

 

How do you check your status???? I ordered by phone....like in June late 20s...and had my card charged (I think)...

 

I think you need to set up a account in order to check the status.

 

if I ordered a np5790 in the next week or so, what would be a good time to expect it at my house?

I am considering switching over to the np5790 from the np2090 in hopes that the 5790 isn't as backlogged as the 2090 and I will receive a laptop at an earlier time.

 

Im curious if the pre-order 5790's can later be outfitted with the fingerprint reader?

 

No, the current pre-orders will not have the fingerprint reader...it has not been released yet, and it cannot be added later because it requires a completely different case.

You should see it released some time in August.

 

I hate to say it, but have you considered that the better way to ask that question is to ask when it would be shipped?

How would anyone know how long it would take to get to your house when they don't know where that is, or what shipping method you would choose?

Also, why would people on this forum know the answer...ask your reseller.

Why don't you call them? I ordered mine about a month ago and I am expecting it to be shipped this week. I thought you didn't like the orange trim anyway.

well, my order should change from a 2090 to a 5790 in 24-48 hours, sales at xoticpc also told me it would be 5-7 buisness days for my laptop to ship out, yay! ^_^.

yeah but I don't know if my ETA is correct though, it seems kind of early considering many people here pre-ordered way before me and it is around my ETA, =/.

 

Mmmm. I can't wait. I only have $200 until I can order my own Clevo/SagerNP5790. I've been pressure-washing decks, mowing lawns, and pulling weeds for the past two weeks (7 hours a day) just to have enough for a notebook of my own. I'll have enough by Thursday! Woohoo!

Is anyone buying a barebones from RJTech? The reason I'm getting it from there is that I have a 2.4GHz Merom processor without a home with a 1GB OCZ 667MHz stick. Would that be smart or not? (Merom ie Santa Rosa)

EDIT: There's not a fingerprint scanner on it yet?? The picture I'm looking at shows one smack in the middle of the mouse buttons, and it also says it has it in the Specs.
