Wow, so many people ordered WSXGA+...

I am in Phase 4... went from 1-2-2-4. Not sure how that happened, maybe a typo. Anyway I've been tracking my notebook from CA and it's arriving on Wednesday.

Looks like it would be shipping to my house right now if I hadn't ordered the skin.

Looks like at least another week before it even ships to me

Still phase 2 for me .. but the day is still young.. especially in California.

 

umm, i was in phase 2...and then it just showed up at my door at 11am this morning...NP8660 RECEIVED!

 

Really? That's interesting.. I'm just a little north of Toronto but I'm at work all day... I really wasn't expecting they would start arriving here until later this week, I expected an E-mail with a tracking number and such first.

What day did you order on/when did you enter phase 2?

 

NP8660 - shipped Currently in Anchorage, Alaska. UPS Global. Still has to make it all the way to Singapore.

Any WUXGA owners received updates yet?

I've heard from both JN and BM that they are expecting WUXGA's between basically now and "the end of the month". This kind of bothers me because I think we were all led to believe the WUXGA screens would arrive no later than a week after WSXGA+ but now it seems like they are not so sure.

If they arrive at the end of the month I am screwed.

 

^^ We have stated for weeks around the middle to end of the month for WUXGA Screens. It is unfortunate.

 

Then why did my last email say all pre-orders were expected to ship within 3-9 business days?

Still haven't been notified of leaving Phase 1 at XoticPC... I didn't order either the Blu-Ray drive or the WUXGA screen. Does this seem odd?

 

Gavin, the email clearly stated the WUXGA Orders are pending until mid to late August. Did you notice this in the same email??

No, no mention on late August. Which is why I assumed, also based on DS's previous statements of WUXGA arriving a week after WSXGA+, that WUXGA would be no more than a week behind.

Frankly looking back now, there is no indication in any Xotic correspondance of a delay on WUXGA until I received the email quoted above and asked BM in Live Chat.

The very first I heard of it was from DS's first post, which led to my rather angry and probably rash reply in the M860TU Discussion Thread.

 

Yeah, I'm still at Phase 1, too "Order pending payment" though my check cleared my bank on 11th. No Blu-Ray or the WUXG screen.

 

Gavin, it not only says on our website the WUXGA has a ETA end of August but you were advised that the WUXGA are not in stock in the email. (as you also surely read here on the forums about the WUXGA delay) The email was a general update to all customers and listing what items are not in stock. Did you find it unclear that the WUXGA's are not in stock?

If you have order questions they are better served through Email (or telephone, chat) and not appropriate on these forums...

Sorry, I did receive an update and tracking number, it was only a couple hours before the np8660 arrived so hadn't seen it yet.

 

I called Lynnbay to check on my transaction, and was told that my laptop will be arriving tomorrow. Turns out that they gave me a free upgrade to overnight shipping.

 

I'm in phase 4 now with expected delivery tomorrow.

Finally moved to Phase 2, I'll be happy if I have it by the end of next week.

 

Mine was delivered today (It's still in phase 2 and I have no UPS tracking #) Unfortunately I wasn't home when they delivered it so I'll have to wait until tomorrow afternoon when they come again to pick it up.

 

So they can deliver the laptop even in phase 2? Gosh I got be ready

 

Wow, thats pretty slack on the part of whoever you bought it from.

5. Date Received: I'm hoping before Aug 29th. Probably overly optimistic on my part. I might have the shipping address changed to my dorm if I don't get it end of next week.
6. Additional Notes: Would it help with the heating issues if I constantly blow gentle streams of air onto the touch pad - as if it were hot soup?

 

It would be better if you put a bag of ice on top of it ( do it at your own risk)

Received mine on 8/20/08 at 9:35 a.m. EST. Ordered on Monday, received Wednesday morning; not bad at all.
