Try plugging the USB-USB and USB-DC leads into opposite sides of your computer (and make sure that the usb-usb is plugged in to the single port on the left of the dc port - as viewed from the back of the cooler...)

Tried that just now....no difference in fan speed and the usb hub still doesnt work - none of them. And yeah, the usb-usb was always plugged into the solitary port to the left of the dc in on the cooler.

Looks like a dodgy board or something on the cooler itself.....it looked like it had been ex-display as it was a right dirty mess...the fans were caked in dust which i wasnt expecting straight out of the box if it had been new. The leads were still sealed mind, but doesnt inspire confidence.

Im just hoping that NZXT will replace under warranty....any one got any contact info for them (apart from their website info)

    Cheers :(

u could just email them. i've actually had to use their service once and they usually respond to emails within 12-24 hours. i had lost my plugs to power my cryo LX during a move so i emailed them and they replaced them free of charge. i was really surprised how good their customer support was. i bought mine from ebay about 2 years ago, so i didn't have a receipt or any documentations. they still replaced it, no questions asked.

Hiya....i did email them earlier today..just got a reply stating that thhey would gladly send me some replacement parts (usb / controller / ac adaptor.....this is great news for me as i didnt want to part with my cryo for a refund....i have asked them tho if it is possible just to have a new unit......we shall see....after all, its not even a day old and im kinda loathed to be having to have bits replaced on it even tho it may be the only option to enable me to keep the cryo.

Thanks alot for your input!! :D

np, man! hope u get everything sorted out and let me know if i can do anything else to help.

honestly, i want my cryo's fans to break so i have a reason to upgrade them, but they're still goin strong after over 2 years of alot of use. i've basically had this thing on 24/7 since the day i bought it.

Same as my NC2000, 2.5yrs constant usage, still going strong :)

Well, except for 1 of the usb ports being broken, but being pulled off a table by a dog doesn't really count...
