The panel needs to be on a GSync whitelist in BIOS for it to be recognized as GSync capable. More retarded NV nonsense.

Even then, it's all checked for signatures in the drivers too, it's locked down as much as Nvidia can. Hopefully with intel adopting freesync a universal standard will be decided on...

There's a B173QTN01.4 listed on AliExpress as specifically for P870KM1-G and it's been up for quite a while but with 0 feedback as I assume everyone is pretty hesitant to blow $140 or so with the known incompatibility.
I messaged the seller asking if they maybe special ordered it with an EDID modification to pretend it's the 01.0 model and bypass BIOS restrictions or if they just don't realize it's incompatible and their listing is a lie.
Unfortunately, they didn't understand me at all so I got no answer to that.
Anyone willing to take a chance? lol
The beauty of the pristine Dell B173QTN01.4 screen that's sitting in my closet being unusable is really making me sad as I stare at the hideous alternating brightness lines and horrible backlight bleed of the 01.0 panel my P870KM1 came with. D:
