Again and again no backlit keyboard what idiots why cause the screen is bright enough for godsake will these people ever learn? Even sony has them on theres. But i am happy that this machine looks a lot like the G73JH and more updated looks so sexy happy to see they also took the x8100 design in total. Also finally they made the option to fix up their bios and take in consideration to overclock the machine, hopefully they do this now for the D900F also.

Can anyone try to explain how could a 300W PSU be enough for 130W+100W+100W+LCD+3xHDD's+3xRAM sticks+mobo+...OC'ing???

Thanks for the insightful post babyhemi
The changes from the w870cu to w880cu as I can see it are the power up button (now from hinges like w860 and multi gesture? (not sure if w870cu capable of multi gesture or not) and of course the size a bit thick.
I'll pay attention to how much x7200 starting price at -
Granted, the x7200 might not be as pretty and as keyboard illuminated as lets say the Alienware m17x but it's specs are sort of jaw dropping. All we need next are some high res pictures.
-
Another question is what cooling does it have? I doubt this beast is air-cooled. -

x7200, bow down to the king. Yea still not backlit keyboard, the design looks similar to the dell xps studio imo.
-
There will be no 400W version of X7200 EVER! You can CF HD5870 with 130W CPU and it WILL WORK. It might work with GTX 480M SLI + 80W/95W CPU but only time will tell us. Dont even think about new 400W A/C this is absolutelly bull****. -
Those are max TDP specs but with good OC'ing options you should be able to surpass those numbers. Plus these power supplies still go above there rating. I hit 174W on my 150W G73 PS. With that said it will limit the real high OC settings but I bet Clevo is banking on that.
-
Yes 300W PSU can deliver 330W without problems. -
-
I wonder if the 300W PSU will fit the W88. I would like to have more than 180W, for overclocking.

Now the new models are officially on the Clevos Website:
CLEVO - Series -
I wonder why there's a W880 and a W881.
Is that a difference in color I see? -
-
Yes, the last number on the model code represents color or aesthetic differences... its in the Clevo guide.
-
I don't know if it's just the photo quality or lighting, but the 880 looks a deeper black, while the 881 has a more matte finish.
-
-
-
Yeah I'd rather have the 881 stylings.
-
Just noticed that a Norwegian store has the W880 up on their website:
MULTICOM / Systemkonfigurator
Not much news I guess, as for example kobalt has had it up for quite a while
They state: "Multicom Kunshan W880 er lik W870, men har en kraftigere strømforsyning pga et kraftigere skjermkort."
Translated: "Multicom Kunshan W880 is similar to the W870, but has a more powerful psu because of a stronger gpu" -
Btw anyone know how long Clevo has had this on their website for the X8100?:
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870
1GB GDDR5 Video RAM
Support PCIe x16
Microsoft® DirectX® 11 compatible
MXM3.0 TypeB
Support HDCP
