You can pull the tablet off, and still be using the same Windows machine on the tablet with all of it's power, just over wireless with a direct RDC connection. It's the same Win 8 install, both on the tablet and on the computer.
I don't understand why you think it's so bad; you obviously don't get it.

Shame doesn't look like a new design, aside from the msata and smaller power brick, looks like msi will be offering something nicer than clevo this year with the GE60 and GE70, they could still surprise us with a 765m instead of the 760m but I wouldn't hold my breath on that, looks like they are sticking with the non backlit keyboard as well, and msi has stepped up in that regard, I was hoping clevo would bring something new to the "budget gaming" laptop scene, looks like they opted for lazy refresh over innovation .
Lets hope I am wrong, but seems to me we might have to wait till next year to get a proper refresh, one that actually brings something new to the table . -
What sort of information do we have on Clevo's dual-GPU Haswell product i.e. p370em's replacement? I'm looking at getting a p157sm once released, but would like to consider all options...
-
P37xSM manual. Enjoy! -
Thanks, that's great they already have documentation on it.
Any idea when it will be launched?
Which "Model" (A, B, C) in the manual is the dual-GPU laptop? -
Edit : oops you must already know this since you posted it once before, or maybe I'm just tired and its something else entirely lol -
-
Check Page 37 for the chart, and 39-42 for the physical differences.
I wonder if you could get the B model with the 3D emitter built in... If not, I bet you can at least get B with the 120hz screen. -

Maybe if you could find the cable.
-
These new models can't come soon enough - question is how long after June 10 will they be available? -
well, availability doesnt always come right away with actual delivery
after such major launches u can always expect a waiting period of like1-2 months since the backlog of orders will be a mile long, with everyone wanting to get their hands on the new hardware

That P375 looks like an awful love child of the Asus G75 and the Alienware M17x. Those LEDs, lol. Seems like they have two cameras too.
I guess unless there's a way to remove or turn off those lights, there's gonna be a lot of unhappy campers. It's too bad, cause if it wasn't for those lights, the new design would be beautiful, IMO. -
I was looking on several retailers sites today (iBuyPower, CyberpowerPC, and Sager Notebook) and i noticed that they have completely removed almost all of the 15" and 17" notebooks from their sites. Now I may not be an expert in retail or buisness, but to me the clearing out of a majority of their stock can only mean that they are making way for new products. Seeing as Clevo's are a majority of what they sell on those sites I think that can only be good news for the people of this forum
-
right on the money with ur assumption
-
Not sure if this has already been posted as its been on their site for a while now already, but to get an idea on pricing for the new models at release you can check these out:
SANTECH N87
SANTECH M68 -
and all models are hot, hot, hot and noisy.
I will have to wait for asus g750 review. -
In short the reviews are disappointing. Besides the extra mSATA slot and matte bezel i dont really see much improvement from the EM series.
-
-
The ones that were pointed out in the past - touchpad, keyboard, sound (both internal and external), battery life (haswell supposedly focused on power savings and nothing), noise. The power brick could also be made smaller and slimmer like the Alienware Delta PSU.
Im not saying these arent great notebooks (ive had the D900F, P150HM, P151EM and W110ER myself), but i just dont see much improvement from the previous generation. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Well they had nice things to say about the 17" audio over at notebookcheck.
-
Yes it seams the 17" models got an improvement in sound especially the flashier P177SM.
The 15" models disappointed again with their poor sound though. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Looks like the reviews did not use the final heatsink revision though and they are using p375sm style heatsinks on the flashy models.
-
Once it's nice and cool I'm good. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
You could always grab an steelseries keyboard and mod it to fit.
-
This gen is even thicker (5cm/2in). Is this because of the higer TDP GPU?
-
nope TDP us still the same at 100. its thicker because of the extra HDD slot I think
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Yes the a bit thicker for the bling version.
-
Also another decision i cant understand is they stripped the non-bling versions of its DVI-I, which was its only analog video output.
So forget using these for business meetings, presentations, etc. where youd find older projectors as you wont be able to hook it up. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
IIRC you can get dp to vga adapters. The analogue connectors take up a lot of space.

120hz will only be available on the 37x series.
