thank you my friend! I'll wait for your feedback before going back to 1.07.24
-
Will do! Thanks for looking into it! Take your time. Really appreciate your help
Edit: @dsanke Just tested setting Thunderbolt Enumeration from Legacy in 1.07.24 to Native and can confirm that USB Type C stops working. Getting it back to Legacy works again!
Edit2: maybe there is another setting interfering with Thunderbolt USB stuff. No ideaLast edited: Nov 4, 2020 -
I try to set on legacy and USB-C not working. On first bios support 8 series intel USB-C work perfect.
Laptop P775DM3G now 1.07.24 bios .Last edited: Nov 4, 2020joluke likes this. -
How to flssh
This Bios? There are 2 files for P775dm3. -
Okay, flashed P7xxDMx-0511 , but what about P7xxDMx-0729 is it newer and somewhat better? Thanksjoluke likes this.
-
It's a modified TM1 bios for our DM3. There is a excel inside that explains what they support and whatnotwersuss likes this.
-
Now i get lower score on CPUZ bench and Intel XTU benchmark doesn't work pc just restarts. Same voltages as with older Bios. I'm on P7xxDMx-0511 with 8700K maybe this Bios meant for 9th processors only?
Edit : Nevermind, uninstaled XTU and back again, big thanks to Dsanke for great work.Last edited: Nov 4, 2020 -
Ive been using it ever since it was released. No issues with the 8700k.the 511 bios is for 6 and y
7th generation
For 8 and 9 you need to use the TM1 modded BIOS for DM2/3
So answering you, yes it's for 8th and 9th gen cpus
Read the excel files inside the zip. You would have your answers there

It's working fine, but still getting Current/EDP Limit Throttling in XTU. Do you see it aswell? Any way to remove it?
-
Use throttlestop to do it and get support for it in its thread:

@joluke
I asked a friend here tested 0729 with TBT set to Legacy manully. And it works.
So I uploaded a new BIOS with TBT set to Legacy by defualt.
Try P7xxDMx-0729-TBT-Legacy.7z in the same link above.electrosoft, wersuss and joluke like this. -
@dsanke where is this bios ?

This post. Same link.
@KLICHO you got A P775DM3-G too right? Can you test it!? To see if usb type c ports work for data transfers? I will be in my laptop but only in around 2 or 3 hours -
@joluke yes i have P775Dm3-G. This bios works on your laptop ?
-
Like I said. I will only be near my laptop in 2 hours. Haven't tested it. That's why I asked u if you did test yours
-
Thank you for link, they said it's not possible to remove vr current limit. What's your uncore speed and voltage? I set mine 8700k also 4.7ghz on all cores -210mV
and cache -104.5mV at 4.7ghz The best scores gets when 5.0ghz on all cores -45mv and Cache 5.0ghz around 0mv.
But then temperatures are high and cpu draws 143w.
Still my 6700K had better single core performance.joluke likes this. -
I'm running the same as you. Exactly the same but limited the cpu to 4.2ghz to avoid the extreme noise of the fans lol. Apart from that (the laptop) works great. My old 6700k worked better because it had less cores but I'm happy with the 8700kwersuss likes this.
-
Of course you get higher scores with higher clock speed.
I never saw that with 8700K in P870DM.
Why? More cores = More performance

Nice You have 144hz panel on your p775dm3-g?
Mine is 120hz.joluke likes this. -
Need some extra cable or just the panel? It would be cool to try.

Yes my friend but the model is detected as P775TM1 In cpu-z, hwinfo and all other tools. Need @dsanke to fix this typo. Apart from that all works again in our laptop
-
USB type c ports are working
-
Question is when i put new bios my raid0 not destroy and I must make new bios ?
-
No idea. Don't use raid0 but I doubt it will change that. Raid0 is supported ever since Clevo released their BIOS. @dsanke didn't change that
-
USB-C not working on bios P7xxDMx-0729-TBT-Legacy. USB-C run in bios and Thunderboolt set on legacy
-
It's working for me. Got 4 USB sticks with type c and of them worked. See if they are correctly formatted and with letter assigned to them in the Disk Manager tool on right button on My Computer. Right Button on My Computer > Manage and hit Disk Manager. I had 2 USB sticks with wrong data being read from them and had to format them inside windows.
Even my phone worked on USB type c ports for data transfers -
Nothing work ... I put drivers to USB. i put my Iphone to USB C not working...

Mine are working. Yours only get detected on BIOS? Can be a windows problem. No idea. Did update windows to 20H2 and everything is working so far
-
Yep is detected.
-
Did you backup your old bios? Go back to it. Don't know
-
@dsanke any news on the model typo?
-
I do not change it this time. I think it's not necessary. If you want, I can give you some help to write it without flashing BIOS.joluke likes this.
-
I can't activate obsidian tools because it gets detected as TM1
Can't you change the value inside the BIOS and i flash it and forget about it? thanksLast edited: Nov 6, 2020 -
Can you change the value inside the BIOS? Would be more useful for future users in my point of view
-
The tool @dsanke gave me to change the model to P775DM3-G here:
https://mega.nz/file/mYhzUQ4L#yZ4PZbB2B6hT8jZGNseqe03TLwYhi-W06C5NwmqnOzY
Just double click the writemodel.bat file. It's for users who have P775DM3-G and the latest release from @dsanke mod BIOS 1.07.29 which comes with TM1 model detection as default. This tool will write the correct model to BIOS (P775DM3-G) to have tools like cpu-z, hwinfo and so on detect it correctly.wersuss likes this. -
Just curious if there are any noticeable performance changes from .24, perhaps from microcode updates from intel due to the hardware security bugs
-
Hello guys.
I upgrade my 6700k to 8700 no K in my clevo p775dm3-G but im getting low clocks on cpu.
Someone knows what i need to do?
edit i format and solvedLast edited: Nov 9, 2020 -
For anyone wondering, formatting windows solved this issue from @Tibas
-
My feedback about my clevo p775dm3 - g is good.
Sound work good, keyboard lights too, the ratio of cpu etc..
Only think is the g-syc i lost
My screen is 75hz but with a resolution created by me with gsyc on before suports 100hz
Now i lose the gsyc and the max hz its 85
=( -
When changing CPUs, go to Device Manager, CPU, right click on any of the cores, and click uninstall, then reboot when it asks you to do so.
-
Lol
Thank you my friend, in that way more quickly, i formated =(
Now i just want my g syc back without =( -
Did you flash the newest hop to your 1070 but the one with g-sync? Or you flashed the wrong one without it!? Try and reflash the one with g-sync to your gpu from OP
-
I not flashed my gpu because have higher gop version
I will need flash it anyway?
Another question until i have this latest bios of dsank i will need flash ec to?Last edited: Nov 9, 2020
