Cooling HS won't be an issue, this is a compatibility only question. I will do whatever it takes to build proper cooling.

You can easily mod a T shaped heatsink for it ;)

And also I believe that a 3080 will work anyway, only inf mod will be needed.

To be honest. after I did the mod to the DM I am not feeling that screwed anymore. Yet again I am speaking only for myself because I had the tools and know how to do the mod. The only thing missing for me right now is a proper firmware to support all that.

No artifacts. Pretty sure it was death by liquid metal but... It started to run over a year after application. Was playing a game, got 2 soft freezes, alt+tab fixed on win 11 dev. Hard shut down. Then no boot, no fans, no post. Just white flash on LED power button, prior to that, I would get the occasional monitor flicker, or quick flash of a black screen. Once or twice a day.

No visible damage nor Weird smells. Attempted to recover it by blowing it out with 180psi air on the compressor. Lots of rubbing alcohol, I may throw it in the autoclave and/or perhaps bake it? Suggestion?

Still had that SLI setup so I was able to isolate the bad card. Swapping slots, single boot, no SLI cable, and with and without the power cables plugged in.

That dead card (which was in the master slot) prevents the system from doing anything. Although I did run the heck out of it, OC and Prema provided vBios'. Plus we'll over 2300 hours of modding fallout 4 and 4000+ of 3DS Max building assets.

I have the in between model KM, does the MXM slot match the DM or the TM. (Also there is an official upgrade kit for the KM to the TM)

TL;DR does the KM need to be modded like the DM?

Nope. The older DM need some more works as you can see in the linked thread I posted above.

Just any update, now getting Game crashes with the 2nd GPU. best guess. windows 11 Build 22000.132 & direct previous version is murdering the 1080 GPUs with this dsanke BIOS. I would stay away. Feels like days from death of the 2nd 1080. Not sure what is happening here.

Note: 1st GPU died playing Dying Light, the 2nd is dying playing Horizon Zero Dawn.

Research suggest either Failing GPU or bad drivers. Drivers have been reverted. the chances of 2 working GPU's both failing with in a week after what 3 or 4 years of solid performance feels like a double lightning strike.

These are the exact same Errors received before the first card got nuked.

Unfortunately the only proper way to get rid of LM under the GPU chip is rebaling, because LM does not stick/dissolves to alcohol or acetone. Furthermore LM may also adhere to the solderbals beneath the chip.

Keep in mind that Dsanke also stated that memory controlers on those CPU are not great and if no boot is probably because of RAM speed incompatibility.

    Hi @dsanke
When do you think that bios for the Clevo P870DM will be able to OC more than 4 cores in bios? (for example if one upgrades to a 9600k / 9700k)?
Also we need bios compatibility for the DM owners who have done the mod, meaning who upgraded the original DM to Pascal and RTX.
TM like display support for the older DM.

Also a Gsync version including the things mentioned ahead would be nice.
    Thank you.

Also @Prema, maybe if you reconsider to make a good deed for us the ones with original moded DM like you did for @Mr. Fox mod bios back in the days, would be grateful.

This is a stab in the dark, but I am in desperate need for a PB71EF-G original bios. Doesn't have to be modded, but I just need the dump in .BIN or .ROM format.
Would be forever grateful if anybody seeing this could upload that for me :)

Does your laptop start or not? Or do you need a BIOS file to load with the programmer?

It doesn't boot, currently it's stuck in a bootloop with a black screen. Yeah, I need a BIOS file to load with the programmer, that's correct!

It's stuck in a bootloop with a black screen after some BIOS tweaking. So either it's just corrupt or bricked. At the moment I'm not quite sure.

Yes sir, I did all that stuff. I managed to flash another bios to the chip via the programmer (after some minor issues), and everything went OK at it verified correctly. However, the laptop is still showing the same symptoms... so I don't know man. Maybe it's bricked permanently?

It's bootlooping, with a black screen. When it's running the keyboard LED is on, and if I press Fn + 1, the fans go to max since that's the hot key for maximum fan speed, so it seems responsive in some ways. But I dunno.. any clue?

I don't think that the laptop is completely brick, you just need to restore the BIOS

So.. great news. It's BACK! You were of course right, I just needed to find a way to restore the BIOS since none of the traditional methods worked. In the end, I am not completely sure what fixed it. I tried programming 3 different versions of the BIOS to the chip, and they all behaved the same way, still stuck in boot loop. I went for a walk, and when I came back, I decided to try the RAM swap again (I had tried this already 3-4 times before programming the chip), and this time it started booting, and then immediately rebooted into the popup saying that BIOS had been reset.

I got into Windows, and flashed the latest BIOS version and now it's just working... which is such a relief. I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction regarding theel .BIN file. That was driving me absolutely crazy!

Hello, today I bought a Clevo P771DM-G and seller said there was flashed a modified Bios from Dsanke. And an I9-9900k will be supported. Is it this bios from the thread?
