Yes it will, bios supports all cpu's from skylake to coffee lake.

Yes it does, download the attachment and you will find the modded bios for the clevo p870km and km1.

Follow the instructions and flash that bios.

Download the attachment and click on the readme, it tells you that all p7xxdm bios are the same no matter what. Find that bios file and flash it to your laptop. Flash the "P7xxDM_9.bin" if you have a 9th series nvidia gpu OR flash "P7xxDM_10.bin" if you have 10th series nvidia gpu.

Do not flash any other bios not meant for your laptop though!

    Good luck

Hey, I've got some dumb question(s) but I just want to make sure before I try flashing this.
Are any of the BIOS options unhidden/unlocked? The stock Clevo BIOS for the W650KK1 is pretty restricted.
And has anyone tried this on the W650KK1 in particular? I've flashed before but notebook BIOS flashing always scares the hell out of me.
    Thanks!

I ended up flashing my W650KK1. No problems, Dsanke's BIOS has all of the options unlocked. Very, very nice. Thank you again, this is exactly what I needed.

I have done this very long time ago for DM series without fix for support 8 thread+ CPU.And until last month s.napi release method for cfl i7 ht fix.I also have this mod for DM/KM series , but I don't like it , it will lose gsync with cfl cpu and can not control per core ratio in BIOS.And I already use this way for W650 series.

people better off going for 8600k imho. having 6 cores while overclockable, if you get a good chip you can get extra performance dependent on it's quality. most of the locked i5 and i3 chips are junk chips, so they run hot even at default clock with high voltage. spend a tiny bit more, go for i5 6 core 8600k unlocked, you can manually set the frequency to say 4.4ghz 6 cores and it'll still run real nicely.

The K usually are binned a bit better, the 6 cores is certainly a plus moving forward.

2 real cores is better than 6 hyperthreads in general so if it had followed the 6 core 12 thread expected example it would have been worse.

What’s the point with two unlocked 8c/16 threads chips? Better spread it out(offer cheaper but unlocked chips for those who want it). The nice with socket processors... People can upgrade down the road if wanted. With soldered you are screwed.

Yeah, all I used was a regular old USB flash drive. You need to put the EFI directory on there along with the bios (in /efi/boot) or something. Then I just typed the three commands and waited patiently while sitting on my hands so I wouldn't freak out and try to stop it halfway or something.

Exactly, for people on a budget get the 8600k and NOTHING lower as its not worth the upgrade. Considering I can reach 5.1ghz on my 8600k with a water cooler stuck onto the chip lol it might even beat the i7 in some things. I'm just waiting for that watercooling heatsink so I can permanently have this i5 sitting at 5.1ghz with a vcore of 1.39v.

Then there really is no point buying a 8700k until the i9 9900k comes out, not buying the 9700k because the f****** hyperthreading is not there. I'm sure @dsanke has plans for that too. Just beware that the normal P870dm-g heatsink will not cut it to cool that beast. You'll definitely need an alternative.

I'd like to go with an 8600k, might end up going with an 8400 though. Either way, I was pretty much figuring i'd need to delid no matter what I put in there. I actually need to find a guide for overclocking with an aptio bios, because most of the settings make little sense to me.

Ok so the actual way to fix the headphone jack issue is to let windows install realtek driver, go into device manager and roll back the driver to high definition audio device. THEN install the clevo control center. Restart and your headphone port will work perfectly.

I remember I had a 3930k rig, overclocked that gave the 8700k a run for its money, I shouldn't have upgraded but I did as the power draw and heat was insane @ 5ghz.
Yes I got lucky with this chip, maybe in the top 10% with that 5ghz clock.

Sandy Bridge e was the best price for performance back then and probably isn't a bad option even now. Consider the ihs is soldered LOL.

Now I have a ryzen 1600x @ 4Ghz setup, runs much quieter, literally inaudible, and is faster in every way BUT not by much. Only leading by 2 to 5% in single core stuff and maybe by 10 to 15% in quad core/multi core stuff but it's still an upgrade on to an alive and future proof platform that won't go extinct in 2 years INTEL.

So I soldered the wires where they needed to be soldered on the mb on one side of several capacitors and got the cable khenglish told me to get, spliced together the wires and got 8 beeps on my motherboard. The board is probably now dead and I haven't had much time to look into it further. The screen didn't light up, that may also be toast, I will need to check that.

All I can say is I probably won't proceed further as 4k for a gtx 1070 in this rig is not ideal. Also as soon as I found out the gtx 1070 sli wasn't possible on the aw 18 I already gave up. I also learnt through the countless hours I gamed on the alienware 18 that 1080p was the best resolution for it with a tdp modded 1070 equivalent to a 1080 in performance. The 1080p screen is made for it and should stay. I will probably get another motherboard and sell the alienware. Its already fried one of my gtx 1070s the GPU die cracked somehow? I've most likely fried the motherboard.

I should have kept you posted though sorry about that I've been so busy with other projects and uni work, the 1080 sli for the clevo is probably going to happen I just need to find out how to take the tornado f5 heatsink of the heatpipes.

I just got so mad it didn't work, I should have probably taken photos of the mb and soldering before I scrapped it, see I have a technician just like khenglish and he checked the schematics, he knew where to solder and when it didn't work he already knew components had been fried. I left it at that.

I guess I was so hyped it would work that I didn't think it would fail lol.

That's what I was thought, school has me in it's grips as well. A sad sight for the 18, to be left at only 980M SLI being truly viable, 1070 being choked by Optimus.
1080 SLI for the DMG is highly probable with the MSi 1080's and the heatsink from the Tornado or modded 980M heatsinks, you should be able to remove the plate from the pipes by cooking it in a oven to unsolder it, might want to give @/bennyg a PM for his work on the DM3 water-cooling. If this goes well, I see this ending up in my P377SM-A eventually.
And while I wait for my T3600 to arrive, I have to use a 2013 Dell Ultrabook and a Chromebook as my main devices, my brother has my Clevo ATM, the M6700 is coming shortly, and the Cyberpower desktop I ordered comes Thursday.
