Why you juggling so many laptops Rambo?

Why not?I like to try everything.Or call it a fantasy
-
Lol, alright. I'm sorry, I'm really accustomed to the 'one special laptop for a person' syndrome.
Or maybe its just that I want to ensure if I'm going to have more than one, its going to be used and not collect dust (like my family seems to do with old ones, they don't even try to donate the damn things to charity if that much, lol) -

same here deathwinger. I can hardly afford one let alone 3 others.

I think it's just DDR3 though I am not sure.
-
I don`t think we`ll see laptops supporting both DDR2 and DDR3 anytime soon, I was under the impression that you need different slots for them (200 vs 204 pin)
-
From the tour ?
-
Been there yet?
-
Took crisp pictures?
I`m sure that if a PCMW rep was around, he`d have a blast... -

guys don't be excited. The chances of getting a picture are very slim. I'm sure alot of it is all hush hush. I think daweism, that if you go, you need to have stealth cameras everywhere. maybe wear a button up shirt with a camera as a button lol.

My laptop is in the 'Building' Stage now. Order is being custom built and extensively tested.
Of course, I'm sure they are basing that on the fact as the new parts come in. But still, ETA has not changed and things should be on schedule according to them.
So excited.... -
I'm sure its on the basis as the new parts (processor, 320GB 7,200 hard drive) come in. But yes, it's in the Building stage as far as Status is concerned.
-
Quadro, not quatro
The 8800M GTX and the P9500 or 9600 seem to be enough for today`s need.
But then again, the quad was rumored to not fit this TU...
The whole debacle probably got a lot of people confused... -
Who still has their order for the laptop with PCMW on this forum? I would like to get an estimate of how many comrades are left
(I'm staying til the end though, I doubt a better deal than what was presented would ever come out) -
Never liked Dell laptops, they seem to need replacement parts by the end of the first year. Maybe the XPS line is different.
-
I wish Sager had something similar...like 4 years with NBD shipping...mmmm -

best of luck for your next decision minkang. i think you already said your going with the m570ru. nice machine.
-
Looks like all those who missed the $500 sale now have another chance, for the weekend at least.
http://www.pcmicroworks.com
Orders expected to be made 2nd half of June (3rd week of June) and shipped late June/Early July.
Edit: ooooh, no more ETA on the 320GB 7,200 drive. They must have gotten it. This makes me happy. I can't wait to play with the laptop for my birthday. -
Deathwinger, yours has the 8800M GTX, so the problem is non-existent here.
The real boo-boo is for those who expected quad core and 9800M GTXs.... -
Only time will tell...
But whats the disadvantage of having an already powerful 15", no big problems (based on Clevo's reputation) and then later on, just supposing, it could be upgraded?
Won't that be worth the risk? -
Well, any RU user would agree with you on that. We went through the same issue last year
-
Well , they're keen on getting as many orders as possible , I'll give them that...
-
I went Vista Ultimate. In my opinion, Vista has gotten better since SP1. Furthermore, if you follow some guides on the net to disabling some unneeded services at this time like IPv6, etc. It will optimize and run at lightning speed
-
-
UAC is there for a reason. I sugest you leave it on, clicking some more will get you a safer system.
-
It is annoying clicking so many times, but I`m used to it and am reminded of what apps are starting
-
Just got off the phone with a customer rep., the first set of EDGE laptops should be arriving to their customers, if all goes well, around Independence Weekend (right before or right after).
-
4th of July?
So much for June -
Well, if all goes well, PCMW buyers will have the laptop to test out a good while before everyone else. NOT THAT IT MATTERS!
Because 6 months from now, everyone who wanted the laptop and is going to buy it would have it and the only thing separating individuals would be the service they receive from the respective resellers. (of course, I know I would have gotten the best price but shhh.....)
-
PcMicroworks, why?
-
HEY guys, check out my last post int he stickied thread about the EDGE and the thermal requirements... I called up PCMW and got some info... its supposed to still support the 9800. Check the stickied thread tho cuz i didnt wanna post it twice...
-
Oh boy, CLEVO DOES NOT SUPPORT IT !
Forget about what PCMW said, CLEVO makes the damn cards for the laptop man!
Stop with the wishfull thinking -
hey... i just posted wat a rep told me.. maybe i just posted it so you could get a LAUGH outta it El...! who said it was even wishful thinking... maybe i also believe it cant be done and just thought it was funny... yeea? wat u think about htat? sshush.. go play on your gaming laptop in ur 911....

I hope things get cleared up once some guys gets their notebooks.I canceled my order since I decided to keep the 9262.But I would have waited for them to come out other wise.
-
Yes, I hope these guys get cleared. So far they haven't told me anything false so I cannot hold anything against them. They have been practical and reasonable with me. But right now, their name is in the dirt here and they need redeem themselves to be taken seriously. -

Where can you confirm that they have been in business since 2002?
According to the Sect'y of State of California, and their Whois data, they started business in 2006. -
The_Observer 9262 is the best:)
Yous hould have highlighted this too
-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
Hehe... beyond the limit is what I would be concerned about
-
I think they might have taken this one over the edge...
Ok, no more bad puns from me -
-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
Ok, but since some of us are a bit skeptical of some of the things they say, is there any independent evidence of when they started?
They have certainly not been on the Internet before 2006. See http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://pcmicroworks.com
And their http://www.resellerratings.com/store/PC_MicroWorks_Corporation history only begins in 2007 -
It matters when they started, cause that builds up experience, credibility and know how.
-
I don't have any other evidence other than their word. So they must be lying, it's the only logical explanation, a shame.
I should cancel my order and jump on the powernotebooks N5973 bandwagon now? -
I say stick with PCMW, you can always cancel and get it elsewhere. You`re already on the list, so stay there for safety.
If not, and the 860TU does only get released in July 15th, Sager won`t have it for preorder until close to that anyway.
