    you mean bios defaults ?
    I have not change anything in 2.1 BIOS. Will 1.5 have UV version? When you plan to release it?

    Thanks!

    and BTW:
    Prema one-man support is better then any companys out there.

    Will up v1.5 OC, UV, OV & UOV "very soon now"...that's at least the stuff "big companies" are telling us all the time...LOL
    I still have to test a few new oROMs and stuff which I want to through in there...

    People do their best if they enjoy what they are doing. If you do something just because you are paid, then you won't put your heart into it. ;)

    Sorry, I must have miss-typed something, will fix it in the evening...

    Prema. My friend has just got a W150er laptop but it has a 1360x768 screen (we thought it would match the 650m better than 1080p) which bios mod should I use?
    Donation coming your way for all your hard work BTW.

    Cheers

    You mean 1366x768...they are normally not sold in that model that's a special order I guess...
    Anyway I'll make him a custom version tonight.

    EDIT: ME driver link is now fixed. :)

    Wow you would do that? Thanks so much! We'll definitely sort you out a donation.
    Yeah it was from PC specialist they offered that or 1080p.
    Im setting it up tomorrow and putting the SSD in so that would be ideal.

    Thanks so much!

    You are just like me...

    Wise choice :).

    I don't like 1080P on such little screens, everything will need a microscope to be able to read well like in a normal size screen.

    And then yes, the little GT650M, wouldn't play anything at all on that resolution.

    Can RAM still be overclocked with 2.1 BIOS in W110ER or will it work @ default supported max 1600Mhz? Or I do not understand something? :)
    I was just wondering because I ordered Corsairs 1866Mhz memory...

    PnP RAM will still work at advertised speed, 1600, 1866, 2133...but can only be changed on PMv1.x and not v2.x

    I'm having a real bad performance with my W110ER. Anyone else?

    A bloody 2D game was runing at like 16 FPS (and runs fine on a very old 2006 nvidia GT 7300 laptop :mad:).

    Can anyone play well NFS the Run on medium + highest resolution???? (here there's spikes of lag).

    Also Empire Earth III (2007 strategy game) is running very slow on max graphics.

    ps: All games were running under nvidia GPU and with max stock clocks (checked on GPU-Z) and under less than 80Cº

    Prema thanks so much for that. I have left you a donation.(Confirmation number: 8XT67278NW779342J)

    Embarrassingly it seems his laptop is based on the Compal qal51 which is pretty much identical!
    Now to see if there is a custom bios for that!!

    I have used them only when I got the laptop, didn't tested now.

    But when I had tested, I got more score than the maximum score for the laptop registered on "notebookcheck review".

    Don't know about nowadays after I flashed Prema 2.1 and latest ME's, latest Intel and Nvidia Gpu drivers (when I have time, I will check 3dmark again). But I think it won't show up any problem, since BF3 is running fine on medium, but most other games, perform really BADLY.

    List:

    - War-Z (max res, medium and a few things on high goes to 12FPS on some parts);

    - Eleusis (UNPLAYABLE);

    - NFS The run (max res+medium settings, have spiked of lag);

    - WRC3 (max res+max settings have little spiked of lag);

    - Empire Earth III RTS from 2007 (very lagged on max settings and it's old and have crappy graphics ~GPU stay at 20% and spiked to like 46% of max load on a little play test);

    - BF2 + Forgotten hope online (max res+max settings there are some lag issues on a few parts ~2005 game);

    - Tested Far Cry 3 (max res and I think on medium still have a little lag spikes);

    - S.T.A.L.K.E.R I think latest Complete edition MOD (Huge lag spiked from time to time);

    - Real Flight RC + phoenix RC simulators (run lagged, and used to run better on my old desktop Nvidia 7600 GT which is a galaxy far away from GT650M);

    - Borderlands 2 (All I know is it doesnt run on max settings, but I haven't played it to know if it run on the other settings);

    ps: That's almost all the games I have tested, and I'm not liking this, since almost every god damn game I played it has lag.
    Keep Cool

    the only game i have of those is Borderlands 2, which i can run on high settings on a 1920x1200 monitor.

    if 3dmark is good, maybe run a malware scan? malwarebytes is free.

    So refresh my memory, did you say it was impossible to modify the fan tables for the W110ER? I feel like they can be tweaked a little bit so the fan will kick on low at 75c and stay that way until it hits 79-80c. I might try splicing a 5 volt USB line into the fan with a resistor to kick up the RPM a little more so it stays cooler. The fan actually does a great job of being quiet when at low RPM's.

    Hi W170ER owner here. Can we safely downgrade from last Prema bios v2.1 to the last stock clevo ? I sell the laptop and the buyer may want an official bios for some reasons. Thx.

    I can, but I have no plans to mess with it atm, maybe once Clevo releases the last EC for these models and it still doesn't make people happy. ;)

    Sure, just use the latest stock BIOS /EC provided on my blog.

    WHAT THE
    ???

    You can only be talking about anything else other than the W110ER right?

    Cause at that resolution, I think that even my GTX570 from the Desktop would have a big challenge to run Borderlands 2 on high at 1200P.

    In fact this GT650M DDR3 can't run any single game at 1080P from nowadays on high (unless 2D games and little games. On low and so on it runs some games at 1080P).

    ps: Unless you have some crazy OC with nitrogen liquid cooling or something :D (or you have a special edition W110ER :)...).

    Thanks for the bios and continued updates, Prema.
    And for any marketers or resale representatives lurking, Prema's
    bios are the SOLE reason I chose the np6110, and I would be
    willing to bet a large amount of custom sagers and clevos
    purchased are due to his efforts.

    I just ran BL2 @ 1920x1080 on my 650m. Everything high except for Physx and got an average of 38fps. Depending on how you define running the game on high, it's definitely doable.

    Wow! I totally just tried running BL2 at 1920x1080 on high for the first time and I got the same (averaging around 30-50FPS). It seems at extreme resolutions, the 650m does pretty well still. I tried Metro 2033 on my 1920x1200 monitor all on high and I was getting 35-40FPS. nice!

    I was pretty impressed myself when I first started testing it out. I knew the 650m was no slouch for the machines it's put in being smaller and such but was blown away I could play at pretty good settings and maintain decent framerates and res. Definitely a fan of the little guy

    This is my favorite laptop. I usually buy a laptop and sell it within a couple months because I hate something about it or something comes out that is better. This laptop holds the record, by a long shot, for the longest time I have kept a laptop and haven't looked at others in that time frame (feel like I'm cheating on a girlfriend if I look at others :p) hahah... oh gosh.

    I still don't understand how can you guys be running Borderlands 2 on high on 1080P with W110ER.

    Here not even at 1366x768 if the game plays well...

    Are you sure you have AA, annysotropic, shadowz and other settings on high? Here I'm getting tired of trying games to realize they only run on medium, even some from 2008 or less :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:.

    ps: However BF3 runs fine on medium.

    I know the exact feeling. The W110ER is just seriously impressive in pretty much every way as far as hardware goes. I have an 11 inch ultraportable that only weighs 1.6kg, that I can hold in one hand, throw in most bags, run any game on at native and even 1080p with decent performance, even get similar performance to 15 inch notebooks, or better!

    Crysis 3 is the first game that has really made the W110ER struggle at 1080p, but I think once I finish tweaking it, I'll get it running alright. My friend reverse engineered the .exe, managed to get the game running in bloody xbox 360 mode and ran it on HD 4000 on his mac. Not kidding, PLAYABLE performance at RETINA resolution on his rMBP. He turned ropes off (Causing massive performance issues on every system) and turned that ridiculous grass from having real time calculated physics to being more of a static entity. Shame you need to use IDA Pro or something similar to find the parts of the Crysis 3 .exe that handles this and it is no easy task lol.

    Just shows how much pointless bull there is on CryEngine that makes games run horribly. They do it literally just to challenge every graphics card. Crysis 2 ran fine on many more systems and I can bet you it was due to the lack of dynamic grass and the rope bugs. The games look very similar on a graphical fidelity level IMO, with Cry 3 taking the win on texture quality and perhaps object quality.

    EDIT:

    Two extra things:

    - Anyone managed to successfully get a hackintosh system up with the W110ER? Has the right components, but Nvidia drivers have been an issue for me so far.

    - How is it that the 3720QM can have BIOS overclocking, but not any lower end processors, such as the 3610, 3612, 3632 etc? I can get the 3632QM up to 2.9GHz fairly happily using Throttlestop, 3.1 causes shutdowns when playing games such as Crysis 3. I presume it's the TDP barrier or something.

    I used to get crashes and some BSODs in games with my 3840QM overclocked to 4.2, but then I upped the power to 55W (its 45W stock) and duration limit to 40. no more crashes. try to up your power to it.

    Ah, okay then. That's a bit of a bummer, but oh well, not the end of the world.

    Loving your work though Prema, thanks very much for the lovely BIOS mods.

    Just a quick question, what sort of battery if increase should I expect from UOV over OV BIOS?

    Thanks.

    Do you know if he ad to create and attach the new LVDS cable due to length issues or to get more channels? or what kind of temp difference he has seen?

    The screen he use has the same channels, so it must have been because the LED end didn't fit into the new screen...will maybe get a chance to confirm later...

    Since we lost RAM OC function with Clevos new Win8 base, I decided to keep two versions maintained.
    One for Win8 and one for Win7, which has GPU, RAM & CPU OC all in one version.
    I also updated a few microcodes and modules along the way.
    Switching between latest Win7 (v1.5) and latest Win8 (v2.1) version is no problem.

    W110ER/NP6110 Prema Mod Win7 v1.5 changelog:

    - Combined EC & BIOS files into a single update (BIOS 04 EC 03)
    - Sata/Raid ROMs updated to v12.0.0.1783 (Legacy & /UEFI)
    - GT650M UOV EDITION added (energy savings & higher OC) (CREDIT: SVL7)
