There are several reasons why it gets to the point that enough is enough. If you search around on the forum... Then you can see that Prema helps a lot of people. Greed as you say... Is completely wrong. No one should draw conclusions on the wrong basis.

    Say it again!

And still, you'll see members choosing to betray his works and call it "normal". So much entitlement.

You should contact your Prema Partner Reseller ( https://premamod.com/partner/ ) to check if they have the latest BIOS.

I contacted my reseller (xoticPC is closest, I'm in Canada), but they informed me that their contract with Prema only allows them to sell his BIOS with new systems. I've contacted the Australian partner and I'm awaiting their reply.

I bought way back at the end of 2014, so does that mean that I'm out of options?

I finally swapped out the thermal grease on both CPU and GPU and I'm pegging 99°C on all four cores. I need to undervolt so badly, I really wish I had put the time into this before.

If it's Metabox you're referring to, you might have a glimmer of hope of getting a Prema BIOS? I don't know the agreements they have with Prema, but there might be some hope. Can't you undervolt with XTU?

Thanks for replying. Yes, it was Metabox, but I didn't have any luck there.

I was reminded of XTU while reading up, and installed it. Lowest stable offset was -0.070, but it only increased my bench from 660 to 676 overall score. Watching the bench run indicates thermal throttling over half of the time.

I think I'll grab some fresh thermal paste and try again. The stuff I used was pretty old.

I brought my P750ZM with Metabox and I contacted them regarding my issue with NVMe drive and they ignore me. Seem like they don't have Preme Bios. :(

Yes when I contacted them early this year for a prema bios for Metabox P870DM3, they said something about a login not working and instead sent through only stock bios... I had to go direct to Prema himself.

Yepp, the only way to get Prema Bios is to find Prema himself.

The only to PM Prema is he willing to follow you in the forum.

So it is all about luck and contribution. ;)

I mean except the fact that resellers cant even sell you the bios even if you could buy it. Due to Premas Contracts?

That and if you didnt even buy your system from that reseller they are most likely not gonna let you in the first place. Not including the fact resellers are spread out compared to getting the bios file direclty in the first place.

Like having to send a system from UK to spain/poland is already a pain.

Like I state the point isnt the fact it isnt free anymore its more the fact that its extremely locked down to users who didnt get their systems from specific Resellers

Also it doesnt help the fact as soon as he went Paid

He also went to remove his old website and make all Previous bios file inaccessible

No he left the files up until someone stole his work and released it as his own. Plus getting paid means having agreements in place to secure some kind of benefit from the purchaser.

What I’m asking is basically I know the tools are in the Prema Bios but specifically is the laptop already adjusted and refined from the reseller or do have to do your own tweaks in the system to get performance up?

Usually an overclocking service would be extra due to the time and testing involved in getting each machine right.

Does any prema bios reseller sell the bios outright?? If not it be great if a prema bios vendor was able to do the prema bios update on clevos that even though they didnt sell for a price. id gladly pay for the update and since they dial in theres no stealing on a one time and if theres a serial number the person getting the bios should register it with the company so they can continue to get bios updates free of charge on just that specific machine. @Donald@HIDevolution @Meaker@Sager @Prema @PremaMod

Offering BIOS updates like that also means increasing your tech support load w/o much profit margin to pay for the support team time and salaries. Best to just support the things you actually make money off of.

In that case, wouldn't it be good if existing resellers could offer it for a fee? This is, of course, considering whether the existing resellers would themselves be comfortable adopting a model where they offer it "as is" and of course, do not provide the source binaries to prevent prema's hard work from being distributed. This would mean they can, theoretically, use their own support for the same.
It all depends on how people see it fit. I do not mind paying for it because I am a programmer too and I know how much work something like that can take :)!

IMHO people who ask for BIOS updates are tech savvy enough not to need much handholding by the support team. You download the correct BIOS, follow the instructions for updating it, and make a few settings changes as per your needs. Also, you'll be doing this maybe once a year, tops, usually much less frequently. If the instructions are correct, negligible support is needed. (By correct, I mean with details like size of pen drive, formatted with which file system, etc. I remember some very old systems which needed a very small USB drive - larger drives would just not work. We'd keep aside those old drives just for this.) We are laptop guys - not like the poor desktop fellows where there is a real risk of power outage in the middle of the update - been there, done that, goodbye motherboard.

I recently updated the firmware of my oscilloscope where the update utility verifies the entire pen drive before allowing the update - my 32 GB pen drive was taking effing forever. I reformatted the drive to 2 GB, and then everything went well. It is little, seemingly insignificant details like this that cause trouble.

Thing is @Prema went thru some issues before someone was stealing his work and making money off it so he took down all his work. which is sad because that one person ruined it for the world! Now the Bios God as i call him is very hard to reach and none of his old work exist and only a select trusted few have access to his premamod page. I would sit and unlock the bios myself but it takes alot of time which i dont have. I gladly pay top dollar for his work. Ive had over 12 clevos laptops and all had prema bios on it! My last one even had a custom made one by prema himself! Im very appreciative of his work and give him the upmost respect. thats why i say they should install zero chance of stealing his work

Its understandable that he got vexed by someone rebranding his stuff as his own just to make money. Anyway, the thing is, I am not sure how to reach out to him since I feel it would be good to have a bios which has some sort of safeguards against my destructive nature (lol). Its not like I OC the hell out of things, rather, I uv and try and keep the turbo boost as high as it can be and for longer. I believe the stock bios can do that as well but I like having a bit more control to set my ram timings etc and come out with a laptop which performs optimally given the thermal, power envelopes I plan to run them under. The next project, of course, would be to try and learn bios programming so that I can learn how to create ROMs which will work well, atleast that's the idea :).

hi guys, I’m looking at buying a new Sager / Clevo with a 9900k CPU and 2080 Nvidia card.

My question is, as an enthusiastic gamer but someone who’s not concerned about going completely balls to the wall, do I need to concern myself with getting the PREMA mod, as I’d be happy with the capacity / room that a reseller overclock would give me.

Also, does anyone have suggestions on good resellers to work with? I’ve bought a couple of machines through Xotic PC, but would be happy to explore other suppliers if they offer decent savings!

you can download standard unmodified bios from below link,

    https://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/W110ER/

Make sure to download correct file and check compatibility with your system. You might required to update EC first.

    Hey guys,
I have some older premamod bios for my p751zm (downloaded couple of years ago), but it doesn't recognise M2 SSD. I assume that I need newer version, but I can't find any way to contact @Prema ... Can you guys help me?
