    Changing the hex coding and embedded firmware to alter the exposed options and behaviour of the system.

    A bit like re-mapping a car.

    Hi,

    When i change my Clevo P150EM laptop CGU from a GTX680M to a GTX970M i had to switch to Prema BIOS and vBIOS in order to get my computer to work, and all was fine until recently.

    Now, I can't install any Nvidia driver further than 382.53 (June 9). Do you think the vBIOS can be in cause ? That it may need a update ? I have the second versions of the vBIOS, and i dont know if Prema released others.

    Yes the Vbios is the cause, there were no others released AFAIK. You would need to talk to @Prema to confirm and see if there is a potential solution.

    I guess i just have to wait until he passes around then.

    In the mean time my problem is another, I think I kill the fragile Nvidia Optimus when doing a clean uninstall/install of Nvidia drivers :(

    The site only saves your mail ID. You won't get spammed, not even with a confirmation mail.
    It's only to send out an info mail just before launch, so that you don't have to come back and check manually all the time.

    A quick question, sorry if it is dumb, but does the prema bios work with a win 10 machine since those run uefi? Also, if uefi is better how come we don't have any of those or is it impossible/too much work to make a prema uefi?

    Windows 10 does not have to be UEFI, being UEFI is separate from the Prema Mods.

    Since the main advantage was the faster IGP which is disabled then why are you looking to use that chip?

    Usually where it does save power it's due to performing that much slower. Getting the 4790k and undervolting/tweaking will get you further.

    Now the prices of used fourth and fifth generation CPUs are similar. By investing a little I thought I would gain silence in the evening working on a computer and while playing the performance will be similar.

    Could someone please tell me if rjtech.com sells clevos compatible with prema bios. I dont have access to the site and would access to oc my 1080s and oc my 8700k processor after i delid it. @Prema is the god of bios modification. I have purchased a P870TM1-G barebones with only 1080s in sli it in. Processor and memory amd drives were purchased separately to save money

    Locked for visitor :( I have asked access many time, wrote messages but nothing :( I have a 775dm3, paid a fortune for it, I have also upgraded the screen, but I do not have custom bios :( And a very nice silicon lottery 7700k chip is waiting for some extra juice :(( :)(

    I do not know... I have read some stuff about it in the forum, but I do not know exactly.... in certain shop you could buy clevo with prema bios, I assume they have some kind of partnership... but as I see individual bios time is over :(
