    Alex I think it is you who told us Clevo were working on fixed gpu drivers to tackle this problem? Any idea when they'll be released?

    I've seen a few of the betas, it is definately something they're working on (I've seen fixed 189 betas direct from Clevo), however no fixed knowledge on when they will release them, in fact they may well treat it much like the BIOS attitude these days - ask or you don't get.
    If I hear anything I'll update, but at the moment it's smoke and rumours, beyond the beta's I've seen. I've actually still got a copy of the 189 betas which sort of worked, there was another set which...well didnt lol

    You guys really need to make some noise with your vendors as well. Unless people specifically mention they're having issues, the vendor likely won't even get given the drivers. You can't rely on everyone else to do it for you, because the likelyhood is unless the DPC tweak makes it into the full laptop WHQL drivers, it may be customised drivers released upon request.

    If people dont bother reporting it to vendors, Clevo will never know the issue is widespread, they don't always read forums like this one!

    i reported the problem twice to my vendor in germanyy (schenker) they told me that this is a problem under windows 7 at that the m570tu does not officialy support windows 7 which might be true but is complete nonsense because everybody wants to use windows 7.

    btw. i found a celvo beta driver on the official nvidia bug report forum. im going to test it this evening pls do so to:

    try this one: http://74.212.252.103/pages/notebooks/download.cfm?ProductType=9850

    If thats the one I think it is, I've tried it. Its not a terrible driver. That looks like a sager site link (M980NU page), so it looks like someone at Sager at least made enough noise :)

    The 257.15 beta driver has helped a fair percentage of people, that said its a little buggy (occasional crashes etc) and I'd recommend waiting until a slightly later revision or WHQL comes out.

    Hello...

    I decided to register just to say I have been fortunate enough to have solved my audio crackle (which is truly intolerable) by solely modifying the registry settings of the NVIDIA Powermizer via Powermizer manager (max for ac and battery settings)...

    I hope this may prove helpful for those suffering with the same problem...

    Regards,

    Chris =)

    Oh, laptop is a Dell xps17 (l701x) with i7's, 4gb ram, 3gb nvidia card running windows 7 x64
