I've read that the hm65 chipset or hm67 will not support ivy bridge cpus.
I can't confirm though, I really hope it is supported.

It is not backward compatible. Not so sure about the X79 on P180 though

    Isn't the P180 or NP8180 HM67? The new NP9270 or P270wm is X79........

I've only read one article that said this, but most users seem 100% sure it is not, so it's prolly not.
    I just wish I didn't buy a 2720 ES because I only just realized it's slower than my old 2630qm D:

The 2720QM is a higher rated/faster part than the 2630QM. It's higher clocked and offers a higher TDP (plus AES, among other things). What do you mean that it's slower? It is possible that your ES part may not be up to 2720QM spec.

can't wait for the new pictures to be updated on those new models! all laptops come with 560M at stock (i believe the situation might change upon release) probably to take advantage of the new optimus tech... IVB + Kepler/GCN = that's where the fun starts!!!

Comparing NP8131 to the phased-out P151HM1, looks like they're exactly the same. What's the trick?

IVB CPU, probably next gen NV mid-range card, Optimus 1.2, Display port) Seems like no exterior changes, though.

    Don't mix it up.

One is Clevo branded (P151HM1) and the other is Sager branded (NP8131). Nothing different, only named differently :D

Red Line, you are talking about the upcoming next gen P151EM

Yes the EM version should. but imusorka mentioned the HM version? Not the next gen EM version.. You are confusing me.

The P151HM (NP8131) does NOT contain any of the mentioned things: IVB CPU, probably next gen NV mid-range card, Optimus 1.2, Display port).

Oh yes it probably does contain a display port, but everything else. No. You are referring to the upcoming next gen P151 EM.

As, yes even Xotic PC states:

jaug1337, well sry for confusing you, my bad) it's what Sager NP8131/NP8151/NP8171 will feature in the near future (by the summer i guess)! Also, i suppose by the time laptops become available 560M will be phased out.

Even on xoticpc website i don't see any backlit KB on either NP8151/NP8171... Will the images be updated?

Images and specs will be updated if things do change before they actually start shipping.

I would suggest re-reading a lot of the posts here.

Due to NDA, we can not say anything nor are we allowed to post official images of the new laptops until they are officially released.

That said, we are getting our websites some what updated and ready so all we really will have to do is swap the images and specs when they are officially released. :)

So complete Sager refresh on ALL models comes in April, he) That means we have a great chance to receive 100% functional units upon release with no design, performance flaws whatsoever after they take "vacation" for more than a month)

does anyone have an actual ETA for when sager will start producing laptops with ivy bridge in them? i know the official release date for ivy bridge is april 23. but does that mean sager already has laptops manufactured with ivy bridge processors installed and they're ready to ship on april 23? or are they gonna slowly be phased in over the course of a few months?

desperately need a laptop right now but would be willing to wait a few weeks for ivy bridge. but i can't wait months.

shame its a gt 640m, the w110er can fit a gt 650m in it

heard that some configurations of the y480 can have a gtx 660m but havent seen any hard proof, probably misleading and its the y580 that will actually have a 660 in ther.
