When you click on what driver version you want to use, it's right on top, next to where it says driver.

yep I ve noticed that but thats just some INF. I ve been looking all over their forums for the DOX's INF which supposedly has to be in the driver section but I just cant find it :( I do search and no results pup up. I just want to use the proper INF for the 9262. I know I m not great with those things but the word "driver" does not exist in the mac world :)

This is the best 3dmark06 score I can get using the 177.92drivers, even after tweaking Vista. I got better scores when I was using 177.79, but gameplay occasionally would stutter. 177.92 is really stable, good enough for now. Waiting for Dox to let me test the new inf he modded for 177.98 :)

I installed that driver last week. If it doesn't work for Vista 64 anymore I apologize. It's possible that he re-modded it I guess.

dude, it works ... brilliantly. The loading times have increased somehow for me but the gameplay is even better. I m testing COD 4 now at 1920x1200 with 4xAA and Antisotropic Filtering set to absolute maximum and so far its butter smooth. Its crazy, just crazy.

    hey rossdaddy :)

got ur PM over at lv2go.
Will give u a link to the latest beta vista x64 some time next today or next week!

there will be two INFs 1 with nvidia startup items and services disabled and one with all of it disabled, if you could test those two it be great.

the inf with the services and startup disbaled should really optimise the WHOLE OS due to less loading times when u boot and less backgrond resources ;) - however it could break some stuff in the drivers , for purely gaming its safe ;)

as for longer loading the times, i've added a secret tweak that reduces stutters in games but the trade off is slower load times in games. fair trade off imo.

I'm also working on having the driver come with an installer, it just looks more professional and user friendly.
not 100% sure if it will happen yet though :p -although I have made one for XP and works 100%

This is a pretty broad brush. I don't dispute that you have the problem, but, just because you do, don't assume everyone does. My impression is that most of us with SLI systems have never seen "micro-stuttering" with Crysis or other games, and don't even know what the term means.

I'm beta testing a new inf file for 177.92 and i'll be benchmarking shortly.

@shadowtails: i'm not sure who you are asking to run the cpu2, but i'll run one. What resolution/settings?

do you have crysis? if so go to an area where you are getting 28 fps and simply strafe left or right or move forward. you will notice it. 28 fps should be smooth as butter but it will not be. the 28 fps will feel like 17 fps.

i suggest playing all high, wuxga.

Wow, I m getting some awful temps with those new drivers. I just quit playin COD4 cause my CPU was at 100% usage. That never before happened. It hit a massive 72C and the GPU hit my record braking 78C. I think I m gonna go to the older drivers. Are u guys getting the same temps with those new drivers?

I m gonna restart my computer but its pretty weird. It was working fine until now. Turn on COD4 and I get 100% CPU usage. After 5mins my sager sounds like a vacuum cleaner.

Yeah, I m gonna try reinstalling the driver. Even if I restart the computer and then play for like half an hour and then gradually the CPU usage increases until it reaches 100%. Pretty wierd. I m gonna try the new 177.98 drivers without DOX INF this time and see whats what ;)

So far so good testing Dox's Beta modded inf. Im seeing gains in average FPS in Crysis all across the board except 1900x1200 Very High which stayed the same at 20 FPS. 1900x1200 On HIGH went up from 28.56 to 32.36. All the minimum FPS have increased on all resolutions. Thumbs up!

Screenshot after Dox's Beta inf. [IMG] Previous FPS was 28.-- (almost 4 FPS gain)
    1900x1200 all on High gpu-test

All in all it's more steady than the last. No hiccups that i can see

    3Dmark06 went up a lil too - 14054 [IMG]

Nothing crazy high, but i'll take it. :)

Did you uninstall the 177.92 driver? You need to uninstall then re-install with the new inf. then restart when it asks you to.

After the CPU usage I ve Installed the 177.98 with a regular modified INF. However it didnt work. The same problem appeared. So I ve uninstalled the 177.98 and it automatically went back to 176 from sager. I even downloaded the driver cleaner software to get rid of any unnecessary files. Tested some games and my sager runs perfectly with 176 drivers. No 100% CPU usage, no nothing. So I took your INF file from the email and installed the 177.92 again. At the end of the installation the screen went black and after 15mins I turned off my pc and turned it back on. Then Vista finished the installation and now no games are working :D

You are doing something wrong for sure. It worked for me w/out any problems. Before installation I uninstalled the current driver from the device manager. Then of coarse the generic vga drivers kicked in with really low resolution, from there I re-installed it with the new inf. and it was easy. If you havent tried that way, try it.

i can email you a saved game at the exact state of micro stutter. simply strafe left to right without paning the camera once loaded and you will see the stuttering despite the fps meter in console reading 35 fps.

one way or another i'll make a believer out of you! :D

ok I m in big crap. I ve uninstalled all of any drivers left on the pc. Installed that modified INF from DOX and 177.92 and nothing works. I get the same error about DirectX. I did everything correct. Uninstalled everything from Device manager, system went to low res and installed the new drivers and nothing changed. Tried installing DX10 but without success. It says I have DX10 already installed. Looks like and HD format is waiting for me :(

After uninstalling did u restart? It wouldnt install correctly for me the first time, because when I uninstalled the functioning driver I never restarted. All I had to do was restart the comp. and it worked after that.

Sli? You shouldn't even be capable of enabling sli at the point i'm talking about. There shouldnt be any nvidia drivers after uninstalling, how can you enable sli? Once uninstalled you should be on generic vga, then restart from there. Then copy and paste the new inf to the 177.92 folder and from there the setup within the 177.92 folder should work. Im sorry if thats what you have done allready, but from the previous post it seems you mave have not done the installation in that order. Maybe someone with more expertise can help. Im not as advanced as alot of the members here are.

Try re-extracting the 177.92 download and over-write the existing extraction then try putting the new inf in it again.

You can also try to turn SLI off in the NVidia control panel to try and figure out if it is an SLI problem or some other issue. The m17x I had with 2 9800s in SLI also had the same problem. Very jerky in SLI, but ran smooth with SLI turned off. I didnt have it long enough to figure the problem out though.
