I just received my 2090 today too!
Sorry for those who would have liked pictures, but the urge to take it out and start using it was too great.
Anyway, its is quite sturdy, and the WSXGA+ screen is not really as bad as people describe (grainy~ness). the only problem i have is that the touchpad is not really textured, but smooth, then again i was used to a thinkpad t60, but this is more of a personal preference.

As for those who wanted to know if it had a badge on it or not, Yes, it has the Sager badge, at least on mine.

Got my 2090 today too, wait time was about 5 weeks, had the 2.0 ghz processor, WXGA with 4 gigs RAM and 200 gig 7200 rpm hard drive. Looks great and runs nicely. I'm very happy with it.

Isn't the WSXGA+ screen matte? I've seen some people talking about glossy ones, but Xotic only has Matte listed (PowerNotebooks doesn't specify...have to ask them).

I've decided WXGA doesn't give me enough screen real-estate. By the way, how loud are the speakers? I need some that can pump out some reasonably decent volume (up to the level of Dell would be nice...or I might have to get one of those ugly new Inspirons...)

It seems like a lot of people who ordered the WSXGA just a couple weeks ago are getting them really quick! This must be some small backorder :D

Just FYI for anyone considering a 2090 from Xotic. the WXGA screens are in stock but the WSXGA are back ordered 2-3 weeks. Justin posted that on the Xotic forums last night.

The WSXGA+ is only available in Matte on the 2090. With the exception of a couple current orders we have nearly fulfilled all back orders. :) :) :)

I've got mine right next to me here at work, DL'n and installing software and familiarizing myself with it. This thing's a rocket with the 2.4ghz CPU and 2 gigs of RAM (don't know that I would notice a difference between the 2.0ghz and the 2.4ghz).

is anyone else having a problem with windows updates (64bit) ? if i try to install them, once i restart my 2090, i cant get any internet connection to work at all. it says there was a problem starting a service, but i check the drives and everything is fine, ive even tried uninstalling, and reinstalling them but nothing works so i have to just keep ignoring the "new updates" as they keep piling up.

If the price of your NP2090 wasn't great enough, you'll be even happier to know that it was rebadged as the Voodoo Envy M:152; which has a starting price of $3,300~ish.

I was sorting of feeling bad after seeing some of the rebates (X205 deal, G21 deal on newegg), but wow...

    $3300?

If you can drop that much on a laptop, money is probably not a huge issue...

Well I ordered mine from the main company site
    www.sagernotebooks.com
and i just got my confirmation email than my 2090 will ship via ups ground tomorrow... too bad they are in CA and I am in CT lol About a week knowing ups.

My Service Rep. Brian Liaw was very fast and prompt in replying :D
He also gave me a 30 dollar academic discount which balanced out shipping so I pretty got much free shipping... which is nice:D
I had to downgrade my screen from the matte to glossy <glossy looks nicer anyways> which is 100 dollars cheaper to get it shipped now. :)
It also appears I got the last of the 4965AGN wireless cards they had, because as of 10/2 they are now back ordered 4-6 weeks:D
They also just upped the price 100 dollars on the model right after I ordered. 1099 base for me ... now 1199 base... I'm getting deals all over the place ;)

    anyhow my specs

    WXGA Glossy Screen
    WinXP Professional SP2 OS
    Intel Santa Rosa T7500 2.2 GHz 4MB 800MHz
    2 x 1024MB or 2048MB or 2GBs DDR2 Dual Channel 667 RAM
    2.5 SATA 120GB 5400RPM HDD
    Intel 802.11ABGN 4965AGN Wifi Card
    Bluetooth Card Upgrade
512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT VideoCard
    Standard Audio Card
    Intel Santa Rosa Chipset

Price with shipping & Academic discount: 1435.15  :D

[Quick Update] Order has shipped due at my doorstep 10/10/07 ... UPS doesn't ship on Columbus day... I have to work {Mcyd's yay!} ... but no Big brown vans coming my way...lol...will upload pics when it arrives...:D  :D

Very Nice... I can hardly wait till next week when the ups guy will feel like visiting my house. lol.

woo, mine is also scheduled to arrive on 10/8. Hopefully it arrives sooner though, it is currently in transit to the local shipping center. I really hope they don't decide to let it just sit there for 4 days -_- Fedex has a tendency to do that to me, but i have yet to run into that problem with UPS...

Also, it was werid, i went from phase 1, to pre-order, to phase 5. Im just really happy i will finally get it.

I was told by XoticPC it was supposed to be shipping shortly after my check cleared, but its been quite a while. Oh well, they say it'll ship by the end of the week, so I should have it next week :)

Apart from the windows updates the only driver I have updated is the video. Make sure and get the modded inf file if your going to update the Nvidia drivers since the M version of our card is not listed in the default inf.

Had the laptop a couple weeks now and I must say I love it. I have yet to find anything significant to complain about, in fact most of my minor issues have revolved around vista.

I have a stupid question... not to rain on your parade... but 10/8 is Mon and Mon is Columbus day... what service did you ship with? becuase mine is scheduled for next wens 10/10 and will be a day later than it should be, because ups doesn't ship on C-day...

I'd check that before you got your hopes up for 10/8 deliv. then of course i could be 100% wrong which would be awesome for you :)

~2 weeks have come and gone since I ordered. I know the guys at Xotic said 2-3 weeks, but the anticipation is killing me! The fact I'll actually be able to have VS2005 be responsive most of the time and being able to play games released in the last two years isn't helping matters right now...

According to UPS website, Columbus Day is on 10/11. It also states that it's recognized but not observed, so if shipping s scheduled for that day, it will probably arrive.

Ordered my Sager NP2090 from Powernotebooks on 10/05/2007. I don't expect to see it until Thanksgiving because of the back order on the WSXGA+ and the built in a/g/n. I am getting what I want so here I wait ! I guess it would have been easier to walk into Best Buy and purchase a trialware bloated ship anchor but thats why I chose Powernotebooks and Sager.
Golden week in China has slowed the production of these parts, this week we should have more of an exact time frame on shipping when Compal reopens.

    (Back ordered ~4 weeks)
    1 Sager NP2090
    15.4" WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050) LCD w/PCI-e nVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT w/512MB

    Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
    2GB (2 SODIMMS) DDR2/667 Dual Channel Memory
    160GB SATA/150 Hard Drive at 7,200 RPM

    I hate UPS.

NP2090 supposed to be delivered last Friday 10/5 from San Jose to Morgan Hill. At most 4-5 hours to account for the half hour drive and other deliveries. Did not even get a sniff of a UPS truck all day while my Mom waited for it and I took the train back home to get it. Should be :D :D :D, but...

...I called them and am told today they stuck it on the wrong truck which went to North San Jose. Today it goes from 5:56AM Out for Delivery to 9:17AM Delivered, but no one's home. Exactly what should have happened Friday, but now my Mom's in China after flying out Saturday and I'm back at school, Dad's at work, and little sis is in class too. They tell me they can't do anything except play phone tag. Bullsh*t. I mean, I don't know if they do it anymore, but f*cking Safeway and that one company delivered f*cking groceries in a set time frame and you can't do anything to accomodate me when it's clearly UPS's fault? Get my f*cking laptop delivered, you're a shipping company, for chriss sakes.

    Argh. I hate you, UPS.

if i'm reading this right, it's possible to get updated drivers other than the ones hosted on the compal site, but i need to mod the ".inf file". is there any way you can tell me how to do this in a nutshell or description? this laptop is sweet but i really want to optimize it.

is your wireless switch turned on? it's below the touchpad on the outside of your notebook, and it's configured to turn both bluetooth and wireless lan on/off at the same time. also, do you have the correct drivers installed for bluetooth? you can find them on the compal website.

if that doesnt help, check the windows device manager and see if your bluetooth is recognized by your system, or if there are any unrecognized devices.

wellI finally got it and I love it with one exception, the microphones don't work. I'm lucky if I can get a loud cough to be picked up even from only 2-3 feet from them. Sager's help hasn't been worth much.

Also, what does a guy have to do to find a notebook sleeve?! I'm in a town that caters to 20k+ students and Walmart, Staples and even radioshack doesn't have a sleeve.

get it online. this is the one im thinking about getting. the dimensions are good for the NP2090 but i didn't calculate the width with the extension of the 9 cell battery. it should fit though.

I can't be certain about this, but from what I've read from initial reports about the IFL-90, the microphone just plain sucks.

If someone can get it working nicely with some software tweaks, however, feel free to let us know! :)

My np2090 has been completely shutting down while playing games. hl2, bioshock, BF2142. It doesn't seem hot. It doesn't shut down while doing anything else. Anyone have some advice?

The whole computer powers off? Dang. That can't be good! I haven't had that problem but it makes me wonder where I can find a guide to updating the video drivers on the FL-90 (modding the .inf file). I asked before but didn't get an answer. Anyone have a link?
