I got same error message as Samot, I turned my antivirus off.
-
This program was made with Eclipe via C++ language and then compiled. No malware is in it.
-
I´ve changed the run script... please try this one: http://audigyapps.com.sapo.pt/T7500_2.5Ghz.rar
Just overwrite in C:\SetFSB\
EDIT: I think I found the problem... That false positives in yours AVs, was because the compiler was encrypting the code... now it´s not. I will work now
-
Audigy I still getting the same error message
-
Samot do you have T8300 or T7700?
-
Perhaps it has something to do with unsigned drivers in Vista? I have mine always set to have driver signing checking turned off at bootup so maybe that's why it worked (and is still working, 43 degrees each core with vm player running for hours!) . *shrugs*
-
What overclock margin to you have chose for your T7700?
-
this type of software mod usually will trigger a false positive from your av. almost all av's have a "trusted zone" that you can add the .exe file from this to and then you will not see the message.. these are common triggers for av's just like when i mod a bios most av's will throw a flag as well.. its just a false positive... it will depend on YOUR AV whether or not this gets picked up as a fp or not. not all av's will say its a "virus"
-
-
But I think I´ve found the problem... that error was because the compiler was encrypting the code... now it´s not. Lots of malware is self-encryted, so thats why the false positives on their AVs.
I´m glad it´s working right on your M570RU, on mine´s too... thats why I think that error was weird...
But you know, this is the 1st release so is normal that some bugs appear.
-
It´s not the antivirus..
Audigy, even with the new exe i get the same error message:
Failure during Run
File: [email protected]
Step: [1]
Time: 20:56
Action: "Start" -
Just overwrite in C:\SetFSB\
Thanks and sry about this... 1st release it is... -
Its a mistery...same error...
Thanks anyway!! -
Audigy i have t8300 but I got the same error message tho
-
Sry about this, but can you try this one?
http://audigyapps.com.sapo.pt/anotherT7500.rar
Overwrite in C:\SetFSB folder
Teel me what it says please.
-
just curious is everyone running this app as admin?? im positive if you have vista that would be required for this...
-
i am on XP pro sp3
-
On both works...
Can you please try this one: http://audigyapps.com.sapo.pt/T7700.rar ?
Overwrite on the SetFSB folder... then run it... -
Audigy it worked! but the clocking showing 2.4ghz only
-
So overwrite this 3 files in the SetFSB folder: http://audigyapps.com.sapo.pt/T7700_2.rar
Then move the [email protected] shortcut to your desktop. Close any open window. Click on the Shortcut. Don´t move or click the mouse when it´s running...
Then teel me what happen...
Thanks man -
I am greatly appreciate of your effort, unfortunately it still running at 2.4ghz; however, there was a prompt showed up at the right bottom corner and said that my computer has been OC at 2.6ghz (but nothing really changed)
-
Use the placebo effect *it`s still OCed at 2.6*
-
Damn eleron you running at 2.6Ghz already? how's that feel?
-
If not, thats why... my code only works on a GUI at default DPI setting...
I can try adapting it, but I don´t know if will work... -
I`ll stick to 2.5 just to be on the safe side... -
I am on 120DPI because WUXGA is too small for me, does it matter?
give me few minutes I will try it with default DPI -
I`m at 135% , but apparently it`s working...
Then again, I haven`t restarted yet to see if it`s actually doing it right
Will have to do that later... -
I tried on Vista with an altered DPI and only worked at 96dpp...
EDIT: OK I see... -
Working on the T72?
I'd love to clock mine up to 2.4 to meet AoC recommended specs. -
Remember , 2.4 from 2.0 is a 20% OC ... so it`s a pretty risky job for a notebook.
-
alright Audigy I just switched back to 96DPI including reboot, same result as last time, maybe T7700 is different from T8300?
-
So tomorow I will rewrite de code, to see if anything comes up...
Sry to everyone on this tool is not working... I will try to fix it if I can...
-
Maybe it´s something on the code, a bug or something that is causing that.
Now I need some time to investigate
Sry again... -
I will be waiting for your good news
besides changing the clocking, does it increase the FBS also? -
I think that it`s the second slider that increases the FSB, correct me if I`m wrong, Audigy...
-
so wait is this not working for the T7700 Proccesors?
I wanted to bring mine from 2.4ghz -> to 2.6ghz.
I wont try it though until I hear it is working properly i think. -
Audigy, this one almost worked...i see the mouse pointer moving but it misses the command buttons... -
Hm... so far it appears like this is only for Sager systems :O
Is there any way I can use this program to OC my DELL XPS M1530?
Thanks. -
Now I´m to tyred... tomorow I will rewrite de code to maybe solve the problem...
The top one is for the FSB and therefore the CPU.
The one below it, is for PCI and PCI-E frequencies... because the southbriedge SATA controler don´t like the PCI-E bus high, is better to keep it stock.
I will make some tests with rised DPIs to see if works right.
Probably your Clock Generator is diferent from the M570RU one, so try search on the SetFSB list one that works on your machine.
-
I looked for one on the SetFSB List but couldn't find any for DELL. I tried to use some from other laptops like the Asus G1S, but it didn't work. Any suggestions?
-
Interesting.
This was working fine for me earlier. However, now it's giving me the same error everyone else seems to be having. I haven't installed/changed anything, so it's sorta weird... -
Does this work on the Sager 2090? I'm getting the same error as the picture above (with the bad background lol)
-
Audigy, i´ve been manually testing various oc´s values but when i run orthos and test the cpu and ram i get errors at 2.5ghz and up...if i test the cpu alone it´s fine but only at 2.5ghz...anything higher and there is trouble...
By the way (i should have said this before) im runing xp sp2 and my lcd is wuxga. -
if you are oc'ing a 667fsb chip and you have 667 ram you will not be able to go very far. to do this right you should have 800mhz ram installed instead.. you ram is holding you back. most notebook ram does not oc well if at all
-
I'm already doing some manual stuff so I know wich one I will need to download
-
I have a question. My processors FSB is 800 mhz. I have 800 mhz ram installed, but my system cant currently utilize this. Does that mean if I would OC the processor by upping the FSB, would my 800 mhz ram (right now locked at 667mhz) also get faster?
-
Thanks to everyones feedback so far...
I´ve rewrited the all program with a new code, for better support on altered DPIs on the GUI.
It´s a faster, better, and 100% stable code now...
For T7500 - 2.5Ghz --> http://audigyapps.com.sapo.pt/T7500_2.5.rar
Making the versions for T7700 now.
EDIT: Please wait for the new How to... Thanks
-
I'm at 2.9 , Orthos has been stressing for 54 minutes 43 seconds now
Max temps 63 and 65, atm temps: 54 and 58
But in SetFSB I'm only using the first slider, do I need to use the other one 2? -
-
Could someone please confirm the correct Clock Generator for a T7500 in a M57RU? I thought it ended in 316AGLF, but I noticed that the Clock Generator referenced in Audigy's how-to post is different?
>>> SetFSB Auto Tool v1.0 <<< - OC your CPU automatically -
