Why are you using the sliders? I thought all u had to do was install this stuff and it changed the clock automatically? Why do you need to mess with the sliders?

Audigy please post the updated T7700 --> 2.6ghz file asap :)

    How to Updated!

New version 2.0 for T7500 - 2.5Ghz... I´m working right now on the other frequencies and on T7700/T9300/T9500. 1 hour maybe 2 until release... ;)

    Please be patient :D

    Thanks to everyone!

Clevo M570RU users, what are your temps while runing ORTHO and OC´ing?

With my T7500 @ 2.5ghz and fans on full my max temps are 75/77c...are these ok?

Wow, 10 mins on ORTHO and the temps are 80/80c, with fans on full!!!

My first Orthos experience was 79C after 25 mins .
    After Undervolting , now it`s 63C.
After re-editing the voltages, and upping to 2.5Ghz, but still at a lower voltage than before, it`s 70C(30mins with Orthos)

Was that with fans on full?

You have the same cpu as i....what is the voltage for your highest and lowest multiplier while oc´ing to 2.5ghz? (yes i know that my cpu, despite being the same model, may not be able to achieve the same values)

    I don`t know wth I meant, I guess I wasn`t paying attention,so yeah :D 2.2->2.5
It was on auto fans :D The lowest when at 2.2 is 1.02V , and while OCed to 2.5 so far it`s 1.1750 .It might still not be stable enough, I need to run more Orthos tests.I want to take it lower...
    Yea, I`m a little distracted tonight :D

Hey Audigy, are you confident that a T7500 is able to reach 2.7ghz? Mine at 2.5ghz gives(sometimes) errors in Orthos when stressing RAM alongside the CPU...oh, and the temps reach 83c..

Ouch dude. 83C is way too much.
If you have errors, that means you can`t UnderVolt..
I`m trying to figure out what is the lowest voltage and still keep it at 2.5.
Temps should not pass 70-75C ...

Manually, use only the first slider... that´s the one that controls your FSB.

The second one is for PCI/PCI-E frequencies. I would not recomend to use it, the Intel SATA controler dont like high PCI-E frequencies... You will not gain anything only instability...

Your T7700 is at 2.9 , so what are the max temps in it? Cause my T7500 ran at 79C at stock voltages in Orthos ...

qq, I see that raising the FSB also speeds up RAM, and without a thermometer, how do you know what is safe for the RAM without overheating?

The Meron/Penryn cores CPUs have a feature called IDA(Intel Dynamic Acceleration).

That feature uses an higher multi on singe treaded apps to archieve +200Mhz on only one core. The other remais at stock speed.

To archieve better stable overclock it´s better to disable that feature. You will gain more speed with overclocking than with IDA, wich only works on special single threaded apps.

To disable it just use RM CPU Clock Utility. Just deselect the IDA multi:

    At 2.9Ghz 72ºC on 30mins of orthos(ambient temp: 26ºC It´s hot in here).

    ;)

The RAM temperature will not be a problem... the silicon wich they are made can hold 100ºC with no problems... Just use a burn-in program like Orthos to test it, if it´s stable, the RAMs are stable too.

Just to be safe try use an NoteBook Base Cooler, like the CoolerMaster Notepal Infinite:

So just by appling AS5 to the CPU also made you OCing temps MUCH LESS than my stock ones?
    Unbelieveble :
    - stock voltage T7500 at 2.2, ORTHOS 79C.
    - OCed T7700 at 2.9 , ORTHOS 72C

    I`m baffled beyond words...
Or maybe you have a notebook cooler?

alright here is my result: room temperature 15C, without notebook cooler
    - stock T8300 2.4Ghz, 21C at idle, 44C max with orthos, mid fan speed
    - overclock @ 2.9Ghz, 25C at idle, 53c max with orthos (mid fan speed), 44C max with orthos (full blast fan)
seems like i have the coolest CPU here so far

AS5 will help you archieve better heat conductivity...

So if the heat can be transfered faster from the core to the base of the cooler, it will be dissipated faster and less will be acumulated on the core. If that heat transfers became slow, the temperatures will rise because the base of the cooler will need more time to iqualize the temperature on the core, and when that happens, there will be more dificulty to remove all the heat that had been accumulated so far.

I usually don´t use notebook coolers, but today because of the heat(26ºC Amb.Temp) I´m using an CoolerMaster Notepal Infinite on mid speed... It can help a bit on this conditions...

I recomend to start on lower overclock margins first... then start rising it until your CPU become instable in Orthos.

For test purposes, use the AutoTool directly(not in the startup folder) to increase the FSB or use the SetFSB manually.

Only when you have archieved your desired overclock margin in a stable way, you should use the AutoTool in the startup folder. If you don´t want that the predefined overclock is applied on the startup, just delete or remove the Tool from the startup folder.

    ;)

Hey Audigy, do you think that I could get a yellow and green version of the icon you're using for this program. Instead of having your program run at startup, I have it set in an application launcher on the sidebar. I want to use the green for the overclock off button and the yellow for a medium overclock. The icons you're using are already red, so I don't need one for the high overclock.

    Thanks,
    Dan

i highly doubt that chip type (45nm vs 65nm) makes that large a difference, all benchmarks and testing say from everything i have read have said the temperature's on the 45nm are lower sure, but not that drastically. Perhaps you should take ur system apart, re-apply the AS5, and clean out the fans?

I dont think its time to smash ur puter yet. Plus ur using a 5791, its a older model, The newer models have a different mobo config I think that may have better airflow and what not.

also his room is quite cool... 15c = 60 degrees farienheit, that would be uncomfortable for me to sit in for long periods when i play game. Most indoor rooms are around 22C and even higher in the summer... but dang, 15c brrr i'd have to put a coat on :) may be contributing to his low temps tho. because he is starting at a lower ambient temp.
