absolutely not, but it's more comfortable to see how your Windows starts up with oc speed automatically![]()

I know what you mean. But I am a scaredy cat, keep my system at stock speeds
-
Maybe Audigy is on vacations.. I'll wait

Hi everyone
I see most of you guys have "clevo" laptops, but Id really like a piece of this cake as well if possible
I have, as my sig tells, a LG P-300 with a T9300 2,5ghz.
from setFBS ive found the the "CV174 - CV180 and CV190" will read my fbs, but! not right i think... also i can only OC to like 2.6 because it crashes, so im pretty sure this isnt the right clock generator for my laptop.
is there a way to find out which one is the right or anyone got any other ideas / knowledge to share. thanks -
I've been reading the forums and have managed to oc my t9300 to 2.8 on an m5r7, with no problems. I know the realistic advantages are minimal, but that is not really my main concern. I was just wondering whether this speed is likely to cause any long term damage to the processor. It runs idle at about 30-35 degrees, maxing out at 55 under full load using orthos. I want to use this pc for a while; is there a chance the processor will burn out before its time? Thanks for any help; I don't want to know whether or not it is worth it, only what the potential risk is.
-
Nope, mine idles stock between 30-33C and maxes out at 65C.
So you`re safe. -
According to Intel's specs on the T9300, it's rated to run at up to 105 degrees.
Thus, 30-35 at idle to 55 under full load are well below that threshold, and perfectly safe. In fact, 55 degrees for a processor under full load is very good!
So, no, you won't damage or shorten the life of your processor in any way as a result.
Basically, processors are capable of running - perfectly safely - significantly faster than their rated speed. However, due to manufacturing inaccuracies, there is a large amount of variation from chip to chip in a given model line, so they set the "list speed" so to speak fairly low, at a level where all of that lines' chips can support.
In short, speed isn't what damages processors, heat is. More speed causes more heat, but so long as your running cool - and you are - you're safe. -
Does this work with T8100?
-
-
can I use this for xps 1530, T7500 processor?
-
where's Audigy??
-
On vacation I think?
-
Can you link me to an AutoTool for the T5550? Also, do you have links for AMD MK-36?
-
I need the auto tool for T7200 OCed 2.2GHz please.
Thanks -
Is this going to work with the NP5796 refresh, or do we even know yet? This tool was the final thing to convince to buy one, but now Justin said they're all out of the NP5793's...
-
my t7700 fails to overclock to 3.0ghz... I got a BSOD.
up to 2.8ghz seems to be fine, havent tried 2.9. -
Anyone knows when Audigy returns from vacations? lol
-
I actually think that he is finished to the LOST island, so ... never
-
What they forgot to mention on TV was that there was another man but they didnt want to go through the hassle of renaming it to the oceanic seven D:
-
Hey all.
This may be a daft question, but how can i tell if the overclock has worked.
I am using the t9300 version at 2.8 and see no difference. If anything my 3dmark scores are worse!! -
Sry to everyone, I´m in some sort of vacations/work/formation so not much time to visit this excellent comunity... this is in fact the first time in 2 months that I´ve taken some time for myself... you know how kids/wife are...
Sry again about this project, it´s in some sort of freezing state right now, but I promise that I will work on it again in a near future. Maybe with new features...
I don´t have read anything since so please give me some time to regain the knowledge about wich and wich not it´s not working.
-
Nice! enjoy ur vacations!
help us too!
-
Ehi! Audigy!!! Welcome back.. Nothing changed.. only new requests for other CPUs..
-
). Everything else will still be here, same as always.
-
I will help as much as I possible can... still learnig every day...
More CPUs will be added in my next version, as I said in a near future... Thanks again to everyone for the support!
-
good.... your alive!
-
Then its probally not working -
lol.
Worked out I was using the new version of setfsb -
Hello guys! I've had problems with overclocking my acer 8920g, is there anyone else here who has that computer and knows the pll adress for it? I dont really want to open my computer to check it
-
Well most of the people here are Clevo owners so more likely than not your going to have to open it.
-
And by the way welcome back and keep enjoying your vacations! -
so i've been going thru set fsb trying all the different clock generators but my comp keeps crashing...
i have a hp dv2700t with a t9300 core 2 duo... and i think my motherboard may be made by westron?..
and help would be appreciated -
Does this program modify the PLL number installed in SetFSB? Could I use it to overclock the t8300 in my Gateway FX?
-
-
Can someone explain to me how I tell which Clock Generator is the right one for my processor? Several of them bring up my clocks but I don't know which one is right. I'm currently using a T7500
Thanks! -
you have to open up your computer.
-
Ok, cool, Thanks ^^
-
hi guys, I need help to overclock mi t5550, help me audigy plz! what setfsb should I download???
-
alexlm, what laptop you have?
-
hi NIERVANA I have a gateway fx
-
you will need to find your PLL, I think few people at gateway forum had done it.
-
hmmmm, how do I do that?
-
Open up your laptop and go hunting for the number
-
ok, I do that but what kind of number?
-
or just go ahead and ask people at gateway forum as I mentioned?
this thread can help: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=269817 -
ok thx nirvana and minkang!
-
Great thread this, thanks all
I am going to have to open up the laptop this weekend and try and find the PLL number. I'll try it on the T8300 first and if that works I'll be anxiously awaiting the x7900 update
I've been waiting for ages for a precision CPU overclock since Dell did not enable the bios overclock that they did for the same form factor 1710 with same CPUs
I know it may not work, but worth a try - thanks again, going to have some fun this weekend. Cheers! -
hi guys, I tried all the clock generator options, and I found this???
-
how do I check if I found the correct one???
-
