I would expect you could get 3.1GHz or more depending on the cooling. I have pushed my T9300 which is just .1 GHz slower than yours to 3.2GHz, but for safety reasons decided to stay with 3.0.

Also although I use the AutoFSB I did not put it in the startup directory. I manually turn it off or on depending on what I am doing. I do not need 3GHz for surfing the net and checking email ;)

How come you can clock your 9300 to 3 ghz but I cant even get it to do 2.8?

The computer runs on 2.8 but when I run crysis it crashes to bluescreen/dump.

    I have an sata 250 gb hd. 3 gb ddr2 ram 9500mgs 512mb and 9300 2.5

Probably need to double-check your thermal solution - make sure you've got new thermal paste, properly applied, and all the dust-bunnies cleaned out of the insides.

Also if your memory is not as "quality" than it can cause this when over clocking as well. Even if we have the exact same brand if there were any deficiencies it can cause problems. The worst part about it, if that is the case, is that you can not really rely on warranty as the memory works fine at the speeds it was designed for.

A big thanks for this tool, Audigy! It was really too inconvenient to reapply the SetFSB overclock every boot up as I shut my notebook down completely when not in use. Just too much of a pain in the ass.

Now, I'm OC'd to 2.9ghz all the time (Alas, she gets pissy at 3.0) The change nets me over 1000 3DMarks - my M570RU-U with a T9300 went from 9323 in 3DMark06 to 10589.

It's fine even on battery, as the system downclocks via the multiplier then anyways, so I run a wee bit faster on battery than I did previously, but it's an insignificant change.

The OC Off tool is great to cover prolonged periods too. All in all, great toys, Audigy! Thanks!

anyone try this on laptop, Asus M50Sv particularly?

i OC'd mine into 2.7Ghz and "stable" during full 100% load (Orthos) test. but the temps reaches 66c. is it gonna fry my cpu?

or anyone have any idea to undervolt? cause i would like to try it.

btw i'm doing a research about this undervolt. i just can't figure out what VID is..? (which is written on CoreTemp)
i know vCore. but what's the different. both are voltage.

also i'm doing this because i found this... which might be helpful if anyone can translate what the guy is actually talking about..
is it the vCore or VID?

i'm totally loss there. i have no idea what's he's talking about. how to lower down the VID? and vCore?

    thx .

66 is all good for the t9300, 75 is when it is getting kinda hot. Under 70 is a very good place to be. I ran my 9300 on 2.8 using orthos and I didn't break 70 with the fans on max, but if i let the fans do their own thing the heat gets to around 75ish. Don't try orthos with your 9300 at 3.0 cause it will crash as soon as you hit go.

It means your PLL is incorrect.
Check the guide for methods on how to find your specific PLL...

Come on guys, you can use this tool for pretty much any processor.. The 5793 has the same PLL regardless of the processor. My X9000 runs great and fully stable at 227fsb with multi set at 15 in bios. This gives my machine a slick 3.4ghz fully stable. So you just simply chose the nearest fsb for say the autosetfsb tool for the T9300. For the closest to 227fsb is the 2.8ghz (224fsb) autosetst download it and stick it in and it will give your X9000 a 224fsb. I just wish I could change it to 227fsb which is my highest... Any chance Audigy of getting a nice 227 version? 8)

Actually I used the 227fsb for the T7500 clocked to 2.5ghz.. The 11multi for the T7500 gives 2.5ghz at 227fsb.. So you can use this tool for pretty much any processor in the 5793. My X9000 with 15multi x 227fsb gives me a smooth 3.4ghz.

    I have an Asus M50sva1

Using the pll that the guide tells you to use works fine but cpu z does not detect it so I tried changing around pll's

The one right about the recommended one works and cpuz shows it but when I try changing the bars by myself in setfsb and hit set it resets back to the original clocks.

How do I find the correct pll? Should I bother? Is this why I cant Oc very high?

I have, now. I've brought my CPU down to 2.8ghz, and am currently using RMClock to undervolt it to 1.1000v at 13x (12.5x, apparently, but needed to select the IDA 13x to get my processor to stop throttling).

At 2.8ghz, under full load with Orthos running for 30 minutes, I peaked at 59c. I'm a happer camper :)

It's stable at 2.9ghz and 1.0875v, but I like to leave a solid safety margin as being a notebook, it runs in all manner of different environments.

I'm new to this program, so please tell me that if I OC the CPU, than will I be able to OC the GPU too ?
And since Gateway FX laptops and the Clevo laptop uses the same chipset, is it possible to use this program on a Gateway FX laptop ? If yes, how?
You should make this program able to handle all laptops with this chipset :)

If you OC both, you can do it with a smaller margin.
Think about your need, more CPU or more GPU power...

GPU ok definitely. However , Crysis gets nice benefits from CPUs running at 2.5+Ghz...but no so much as the GPU oc can give...

The big difference, in my mind, is that with Audigy's tool, you can OC your CPU "on the fly" when gaming and then reset it back to default when you aren't. With the GPU, at least with the 8800M, most people have to flash the video bios to get an OC, since most of the normal GPU driver OC tools (RivaTuner, ATItool, Ntune, etc) don't seem to work well with it (at least, I haven't been able to, and I've seen other posts to that effect). As such, it's more of a permanent OC, which may or may not be to your liking.

For now, I'm happy using SetFSB to get about 5 fps more in crysis; I just got my new 8800M a few months ago and I'm still cautious with regards to risking it :p That's just me, though.

True, but only the RU and D901C users seem to have this problem.
Other 8800 users can easily do it via riva tuner, ati tool or even evga oc`ing utility.

open up CPU-Z and SetFSB and go through all the clock generators (hit "get fsb") until the cpu clock matches that of CPU-Z then increase the FSB by about 5-10 MHZ to start off, and hit "set fsb" if the clock change matches the change in CPU-Z, it worked.

Thanks for the tip! However, I just tried it, and must have chosen a clock generator that the notebook doesn't like much because it froze and gave me a screen full of lines.. Hmm got to figure out another way of finding out what the CG is on this XPS 1530.

Any tool or utility out there that can report it to me?

I wanted to overclock my U6 using some tips from this thread and it did not work :(. First of all, I tried every PLL in SetFSB and the only one that worked, gave me something weird compared to CPUZ. In any case, no matter what I did, even with this one, I had PLL error and no change was applied.

You dont need this program. You can OC using your bios. Only the x9000 is ocable through the bios. ALl the other chips cant , thats why we use this program.
