Actually... I now remember. I also remember that over 10 years ago Clevo sold a 15,6" midrange laptop which had 2 USB ports on the right side (and I also believe the fan outlet). That model looked quite nice, though I didn't buy it back then because of these exact reasons... but I was tempted very hard to buy it. It's sad to see that they haven't learned since then and they still have 2 USB on the right side.
However, I don't know how annoying it really is to have the USB ports on the right side. Maybe it's neglectable. And besides I noticed that other brands, such as Acer VX15, also have lots of ports on the right side.

Another thing I noticed is, that the foots are almost 1cm in height on this laptop. If you put it on your lap (it's a laptop after all) these foots will definitely pinch your lap. IIRC the foots of the P650 are much smaller in height and therefore wouldn't be noticed on your lap. Again I ask myself... why did they do that on this model?

Anyways... it can't be changed now. So... wasn't there someone claiming that this week a new revision of the N850 will come with double heatpipes on CPU and GPU?

The fans draw air in from below; higher elevation typically means better airflow and lower temps. Maybe the question should be, "Why don't they do this on more models?"

Does right side vents on the N850HK1 blow hot air onto mouse hand?
