Shipping payment made. Will be waiting for me Friday morning to pick up(technically Thursday night but I fly in after store hours). Not gonna get a lot done at work Friday I don't think.

    Excited.

Entertaining footnote. I added the HD caddy on the other day and we decided I'd pay for that when I paid for shipping. Had I kept my mouth shut they woulda forgot to charge me today. Darn my honesty and desire for a good company to not lose money.

nice! I'm still counting down the days until I am back stateside... And even then, I likely won't be getting my package from my buddies house until after I've spent time w/ the fiancee and family. My status has changed from shell allocated to pending parts, but Myth knows there was no rush to get mine done.

As for which swiss gear backpack I have... I honestly couldn't tell you. Bought it 2 years ago and the thing is a beast. I'm going to have to get another backpack so I have one and the fiancee has one for this system. I've been considering adding one of the slappa bags to my order.

Ooooh, a timbuk2! I've been wanting one of those for a long time, ever since I saw it first on an engadget giveaway. I was also looking at the slappa sleeves, but I wasn't totally sure my clevo w110er would fit in any of them
I did see this super nice faux-leather/memory foam case, but it was too expensive for me.

I love my timbuk2 command however I am wishing I had gone with a large as I carry an obserd amount of gear. Also while I love the tsa compliant pocket, I quickly started carrying a second laptop and an external monitor, both of which I have to take out anyways so it kinda lost its convenience for me. If you aren't a freak like me and only carry one computer (this week I had 3 plus tablet) it is a great bag for frequent travellers. Even for me it is great, I am just saying don't restrict yourself to a tsa compliant bag if you carry more than one box.

Nashville, TN and the shipping is ground. But still, you'd think they wouldn't be going on 2 and 1/2 days without updating where it is. Never had this happen to me before lol

Hoping that Wednesday is the day the laptop finally ships. The first round of skinning didn't go so hot (found out last Friday), so they already had a new one in place to try again. By Friday, I'll have joined the "One Month +" club for laptop order to receiving. :D

Hah I'm working in Nashville next few weeks.mythlogic who is in Michigan said ground was 2 to here so I'd expect west coast to take longer. I don't really expect updates unless it is guarenteed shipping. Hopefully you see movement soon.

I'm a security consultant. I've been in and out of Nashville a few times in the last few months. I tend not to get much time to do much. No much of a country person so downtown is a bit much for me. Your roadways are good and the security line at the airport is short. About all someone who travels every week can hope for.

I'm going to start a campaign: "DO NOT SKIN YOUR LAPTOP, IT WILL TAKE A MONTH OR LONGER TO RECEIVE IT". The subtitle would be "Don't call to ask about it either, because the production guys can't be bothered with inquires". I've got 1,623 reasons to call. ;) My Sager np9130 was built and configured 7/30/2012. I could have had it in days from then, but noooo, I chose the "Skin your laptop option". Why didn't I take the "blue" pill?

    Sorry for the venting. :)

Edit: I'm thinking that the company should spring for faster shipping since it has been delayed to internal reasons, but I'm just the customer what do I know.

I ordered the notebook in my signature from Mythlogic last Friday after going without any computer for months. They seem to have a great reputation around here, and I'm looking forward to experiencing it first-hand.

I chose to pay them using Dwolla because it allowed me to safely take advantage of their cash discount without the insecurity of mailing a large payment through the mail or the large fees charged by banks for a transfer or confirmed check. I'm still waiting for that payment to clear, though. The anticipation is turning me into a purple Twizzler of sorts.

It is in my city as of 10 minutes ago sadly I will not be in my city for 23 hours.

That being said. I plan on taking the obligitory snapshots of my Pollux when it shows. Anything in particular anyone wanted to see. I know we have all seen them a ton of times but I know how much I likes seeing the new arrivals while I waited so hit me up and I'll see what I can work on tomorrow night and next few days.

It is waiting at facility for me to pick up. Flight home is in 10 hours huzzah.

I'm proud of myself for not shipping it to my hotel. But I decided I wanted to keep the packing materials just in case and didn't want to lug that home. I have an excitement.

Late yesterday got a shipment notification. It should be arriving on Monday. After all the pain and suffering (of time), I'll have to video it opening up from the box as if it's the star in its own movie (and to prove any defects in the skin were not from my doing if there are any). :)

Well, after an 8 hour wait, I finally got my clevo NP6110.
Initial Impressions? Its uncomfortably warm and theres a stuck pixel smack dab in the middle of the screen.
It's gonna take a while to get used to the keyboard on this tiny (especially the tiny right shift key) keyboard
Its also rediculously fast, well built and very grippy and nice to hold. Its a bit tall, so theres a big gap between your hand and the desk/table.
I might just have to buy a replacement screen.

EDIT: I measured it. It's less than 1cm away from being in the exact (horizontal) center of the screen.

sorry to hear about the dead pixel. I havent gone on a witch hunt on mine yet for them but on first examination I have not noticed any. While typing that I thought I saw one, but it was a spec on the screen.
So Ill do a full write up most likely tomorrow. Will be too tired to write up anything good and havent had time to do much with my pollux yet other than start game downloads and do a quick check in starcraft2. 120 fps on that with everything on ultra. The laptop ive been using before that got maybe 20 on everything low, so yea, a little improvement.

Agreed on mini right shift, I guess I never really looked at the keyboard layout in all my lusting, but ill get used to it. In terms of typing, I am typing full speed at the moment and have not had any keys feel like they are missing or anything. I like the feel of the keyboard so far. Spacebar works from any spot I naturally hit it. I want to say that someone said theirs required a direct middle jab.

Anyways will grab some benchmarks and what not. I have the ones that mythlogic ran and put on the computer. According to their tests, BF3 never got over 72 degrees in the GPU.

    More to follow tomorrow

Sorry to hear about the dead pixel. :( Other than that, did you beef up that little laptop? I noticed that I could do the same config in that little guy (3610 / 16GB Ram / Intel 520 SSD (240)). :)

I got 8gb, the 3610 and the Momentus XT 500gb/4gb hybrid drive. I didn't get an SSD because I usually use at least 300gbs (I have a loooooot of steam games). It would have destroyed my budget xD

Aside from the dead pixel, which I'm kinda bummed about since I ordered it with the matte screen (a lot more expensive than the matte screen options on the other sagers), the laptop runs fine, although only time will tell :p Does xoticpc sell stand-alone matte screens? I already paid 180$ for this one *_*

Sorry to hear about the dead pixel was well. We don't sell screens individually. If its a stuck (colored) pixel you may be able to get it unstuck, if dead (black/white) then it cant be fixed.
