No, the 18" model will be discontinued. They will make a babier sized 17" model that uses the Ivy Bridge CPU and Dual GFX. This won't be for a long time yet though.

Ok then I stand corrected. I have not yet inquired about it but noticed the designation in the roadmap and assumed it to be 18". Usually no point in asking about things so far in the future.

Quick question. I have been looking at some pics of the new P270WM and like the X58 model the 4th vent is covered, why is that? [IMG]

Main thread you should look at - http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...-sager-np9270-clevo-p270wm-owners-lounge.html

    Pics you're asking about - http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...levo-p270wm-owners-lounge-13.html#post8288322 http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/625946-p270wm-discussion-information-thread.html http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...clevo-p270wm-owners-lounge-3.html#post8269327

In regards to the closed Vent - most likely it is the same reason they give for the x7200. The vent is covered for better cooling. (I think they said it helps the system create a low pressure area allowing more air to come in through the normal intakes cooling those components first).

I wonder if anyone tried this in their x7200 and also, would it be possible to use a mobile broadband wireless card in that scenario?

Not that I know of, but is there a reason why that wouldn't work? Also, if the mobile broadband card is of the type of PC card is supported by the P270WM, there's no reason it wouldn't work.

In regards to the broadband card in the x7200, it would depend if you had the model in which they added the PC card. The 1st edition (like the one I have) does not have that port.
