Update on Radeon 7970m (Sager/Resellers)

I was told by Xoticpc Sager doesn't reserve parts for anyone until all parts are in. So i think anyone who ordered a 1103 is in the same boat as me>.>

 

are you serious? more delays due to back ordered wireless cards??
How long is this order gonna ever make it to me, I honestly don't know what to expect anymore.

 

Honestly believe it depends when you ordered it. I ordered mine april 28th and was told there shouldn't be any problem.

 

May 9th for me

 

Some things are out of our hands. The slight shortage of Bigfoot killer wifi cards came as a bit of surprise to us as well.
This should be brief and everything should be back to normal shortly.

 

The Killer 1103 cards are due in this week so it shouldn't really cause an additional delay.

Any re sellers able to confirm if Sager actually got the 7970 in today?

 

Their site says 7970s are on backorder until tomorrow, so I'm guessing not.

 

Xoticpc says tomorrow 12th they expect them

 

No update yet, as of this afternoon they have not arrived yet. We should know more tomorrow......

Sometimes parts can be slightly delayed by customs so we should know more tomorrow. Will keep you all posted here, as soon as we know you all will know

That is nearly impossible to answer since we do not know numbers or shipment intervals at this point. We have been told there will be regular shipments but the specifics have not been provided yet.

Hey justin got a question for ya. If there were no delays and everything was in stock how long would the build in my sig take to ship? I'm thinking of waiting closer to september to order for school so I will have more money to pay for my purchase. And just want to know how long I would have to give myself to have laptop by september. thanks in advance.

 

If everything is in stock our build time normally is 3-7 business days. It is impossible to speculate what stock will be in September. July - September are usually the busiest months for us so the earlier the better.

 

I heard something about there being a backorder for the screens on the Sager NP9150, If I'm in phase 2 already, would this affect me?

 

We are not aware of a screen shortage, Phase 2 references you are in the production queue only.

Australia Logical Blue One Clevo Horize has received some stocks for 7970m and on the way building the laptop.. can't wait

 

for more than 2 or 3 weeks on sager site the NP9150 is on back order because all four types of screens (stock glossy, stock matte, 95% glossy, 95% matte) are on back order. this is not affecting xoticpc?

 

That is odd, since there is nothing saying anything about the screens being in back order in the customization page for the NP9130 ( link), and it has the same screens used in the NP9150 (except for the Glossy 66% Gamut which is NP9150's stock screen).

Maybe it is some kind of mistake, someone may have forgotten of erasing the "Back Order!" warnings in the NP9150 options, and in reality they are not back ordered.

 

Not really odd. Sager brings them in with the screens already installed, so they can be sold out of various screens on the Sager NP9150 but have stock on the Sager NP9130 with the same screens.

The good news is the Sager NP9150 units are due in either today or tomorrow so they can start production on them again. Now, whether there will be enough to fill all back orders is still unknown until they actually come in and can be counted...so they may not take the back ordered warning down if they don't have enough for new orders.

By checking this thread we are basically torturing ourselves...

Even if the laptops arrive today.. it's going to be 3 days (3-7 according to justin) to build then ship... wont see these things until at least next week

 

exactly, people are killing themselves by checking up on all of these threads regarding when their machine will arrive haha

 

Great news it arrived late last night! Shipments will be starting very, very soon. Good news is as of right now there is expected to be regular shipments. New orders will be about 2 weeks out! So this means anyone that has a order should ship within 2 weeks.

 

Can you blame them? Everyone's eager to get to know when their new rig's gonna arrive! & this thread's the quickest way.

I assume other Mythlogic customers received this as well, but just in case they did not, I received the below about 20 minutes ago (and thus I also assume that "tomorrow, Tuesday the 13th" should read "tomorrow, Wednesday the 13th").

Good News Everyone!

We have received confirmation from our vendor that 7970Ms have arrived and we will be receiving our shipment early next week! We have a lot of orders to work through, but I can confirm that everyone in our que (that means you!) will be covered by this first shipment. We will begin the build process as soon as we have the cards in stock, with only slight delays for those of you further down the pre-order que. To give everyone a rough estimate, if you ordered on or after May 8th, you can expect a delay of 1-3 days before you see your order begin the build process. If you ordered after May 21st, you can expect a delay of 3-5 days.

As we gear up to begin this frenzy of build and testing, we'd like to ask everyone to please make any final changes to their order by tomorrow, Tuesday the 13th. After this any change to configurations will result in your order being moved to the bottom of the que and will delay it by a week or more.

Justin is there any update on when Xotic pc will get the killer wireless card back in stock? I know that might be holding up a lot of the laptops.

 

Yep, I also received this email. I ordered on the 29th of April I believe, so hopefully I am looking at the end of next week or the beginning of the following week to get my laptop...

 

Yea we wanted to get the email out before posting stuff. Rest assured we are already lining up a LOT of resources to crank these things out as fast as we can (Without compromising quality of course)

 

Haven't heard anything officially from Xotic on my order - maybe Justin can confirm/deny if there will be a mass email or updates to accounts?

Glad that the Mythlogic orders have gotten some information though.

 

I figure I will be a couple weeks out since I just ordered mine middle of last week. However I ordered knowing that it could take some time.
