    thanks Anthony2816 and Invincible10001 for the info. I ordered mine on the 21st of May with XoticPC and still on Phase 2. I guess I have to wait like everyone else. I know that XoticPC people are getting their asses on the go to clear up the back log but the wait is really killing me :D

    Phase 3 is custom painting and stuff. Phase 2 is the building phase, so most of us jump from Phase 2 to 4.

    I still have not gotten a SINGLE order update from Xotic/Sager since the message about the faulty shipment on the build I ordered on April 30th using a credit card. Okay, yeah, Sager doesn't do FIFO, but I was specifically told by my Xotic rep that he would mark my order as priority for Sager to ship it out ASAP after they got the big shipment of 7970s. People are getting their laptops that ordered 3 weeks or more after me! It's crazy that I haven't even received an email or anything from them about it. My build was VERY simple too, and I asked my rep if any of my laptop would have to be built/put on at Xotic, and he told me "Yours will all be done by Sager."

    Point is, I ordered VERY early, and I received some fairly faulty promises on when my order would be in production and shipped. My laptop is going to ship straight from Sager too, so the hold up isn't because Xotic has to modify the laptop in any way.

    I have faith that Xotic will serve me right in the long run, because they're a reputable company with personable customer service reps, but this whole order has been a fiasco.

    Did u make any changes after submiting your order? Its out of Xotic's hands and all on Sager. Sager mixes all of the reseller's order including their own, i order from Sager May 15th and already using my laptop right now.

    I know you don't want to do this but bug them. Call them. Let your voice be heard if you feel that way. If they tell you to bug off or something along those lines then take your hard earned money elsewhere. Do this in reasonable sense, which I think you have, and you will get your voice heard.

    Just a crappy situation all around I think. Don't want to cut off the hand that feeds you. Since re-sellers give us awesome deals on loaded hardware, you hate to see some cutbacks somewhere. If honor be true, companies do the best they can and I think so do we. This is reason competition is essential for us.

    I was in the same boat as you. FINALLY just got a update and tracking number 30 minutes ago. It will be here Tuesday...I only work 2 days next week (24 hour shifts) and Tuesday is one of those days. haha, sucks

    Well I ordered mine from power notebooks. On the 29th
    Of May. I received an email today that sager shipped my np9170 7970m laptop today to them. And that I should be receiving it by tuesdays or wednesday. So I can't complain even tho i would love to be playing now....

    I ordered mine on the 8th of June from xotic and I'm still on phase 1. I think mine shouldve been at least on phase 2 by now... :mad:

    I apologize if this was covered earlier, but if you used the cash/expedited payment to Xotic, do they contact you when the check is "fully" cleared? My check was received on 6/1 and funds withdrawn from my bank on 6/4, so I was wondering if there was anything else I needed to do.

    This is my first time ordering from Xotic so I just hoped to make sure. I tried calling my sales rep earlier this week but haven't been able to get through, I'm sure they're swamped with questions too. :V

    My check to Xotic was cashed about a month before yours, and I was told that to expedite my order, I needed to get a copy of the cashed check from my bank and send it to Xotic...guess Xotic needs proof that they cashed my check or something.

    Turned out to be a waste of time since I won't be receiving my 9170 until the middle of July, which would have been plenty of time for Xotic to recognize that they had indeed cashed my check, even without me proving it to them.

    I have question for you Justin or any Xotic rep. My order was shipped already from sager to you guys to avoid CA tax on 6/14, But how come I never got any tracking number. All i got was email saying that is shipped.

    June 16th Phase 4- order shipped.

    Thanks to the guys at XOTICPC. My first time dealing with you guys. I must say I'm very pleased. The delay was unfortunate, but some things can't be helped. Hopefully, I get everything up and running without any issues.

    All of 12 minutes ago I got my email update, my order went from phase 2 to phase 4 yesterday and shipped! It won't be here for another 5 days but at least now I know my status. The UPS guy better get the right house this time! (ノಠ益ಠ ;)ノ彡┻━┻

    We are still on May orders, June will be mid to later next week. You only ordered 8 days ago, many people ordered a month + ago that have shipped or are shipping.

    Yes they were received late last night and they were updated :) Fridays shipments have not been updated yet as Sager is likely still having a issue with their system. Those will be updated Monday or as available this weekend.

    That is all you would get when it is shipped from Sager to us. :)

    Thursdays shipments notifications came in late last night and they were updated :)

    Cutbacks? Cards have been shipping for 4 days. We have staff working 18 hour days to get orders through ASAP. As you can see there are quick advancements being executed with shipments. I know I have mentioned this before, at least the ball is moving forward with all of your orders compared to others whom haven't even shipped a single order. NBR is not our only customer base and in addition to the several of you that have received tracking #'s there are hundreds of other customers also shipping. We are not even a week into shipping 7970's and we have tackled a huge chunk of orders. Please all be patient we will get through this shortly. :)

    We appreciate everyone's patience, anyone that would have received the faulty card update is in production or on the table awaiting a technician to finalize their build. You are all in good hands and as mentioned above we are making huge advancements in orders as you can all see. I mentioned in a previous post remember if there is any problem with stock (short term) or just a problem with the machine it has to be retested and go back through QA. Considering cards have only been shipping for 4 days now (only 3 days of tracking numbers provided so far) a order shipping a couple weeks after anther's isn't really that large of a gap when you consider how many days of orders that have been shipping.

    Just to update you, since you were so concerned...(I'm being a little sarcastic, but at the same time your comment made me reconfirm I knew what I was doing), the process was incredibly easy.

    Opening the main hd case (2 screws) pulling it out and mounting it to the caddy, then slipping in the caddy to the optical drive and putting the ssd back in the primary drive location, super easy to do. And the laptop fires right up even though the hd with os on it is in the optical bay now.

    Now I just need to wait for my external cd drive to get here so I can load windows on the ssd.

    So for anyone else who is considering this but might be a little nervous, don't be.

    The thing that took the longest was trying to figure out how to activate the ssd drive once it was installed! Thank you YouTube!

    I ordered my laptop may 2nd I think. Shipped June 13th and got here June 15th a day before it was supposed to.

    Also need to put in the 8 extra gb of ram I have.

    Is anyone receiving disturbing or potentially unreliable tracking info from UPS? My laptop shipped from Sager late 6/12 and the package has been sitting in Cerritos, CA since 6/13. Arrival scan, no departure, and it is supposed to travel across the country via UPS ground by Monday.

    the tracking only updates when it is scanned at a sorting facility. If the package is in a truck traveling across the country, the tracking will not update until it reaches the next sorting facility.

    Wow that was fast!..First of all congrats!.

    I just want to let this out of my chest(LOL). It really upsets how sager or xoticpc handle the orders line. They should really focus on the date order first. I'm still seeing people (including me; mine is already shipped finally!) who preordered or who ordered very early are still not receiving any updates. To me this is really bad customer service. I don't know if it's xotic or sager but i bet some people (including me) may think twice ordering from xotic again. I know it may not be xotic's fault but that's where I ordered from. Just wanted to let that out. Phew!

We even had Justin@Xoticpc and Palladin@Powernotebooks pitch in and clear things up. You are welcome to post your views here again after you have gone through the same.

    Should be here the 21st

    I had nothing custom on the order, it was essentially the base model with a few small changes, I did not receive the notice or tracking number till 5:00 P.M. today, almost 24 hours after departure scan.

    Just wanted to update those still waiting. Hope this is of help to someone.

    MALIBAL got their 7970m's this Thursday. Seems like a lot of people ordering with MALIBAL will have their orders built/shipped Tue/Wed. (Including myself)

    Also they have enough of the 7970m's to no longer consider new orders as pre-orders. :)

    Please reference my several other posts on this. Again 7970M's have been shipping only 4 days now. I am sorry it is hard to understand how you feel you are being provided "really bad customer service". We have mentioned before we send out updates when there is a update, if there is no update we do not send one out listing the same status you are already in. I have made several posts in this thread I will post below for your information.

    As I have stated in previous posts please feel free to PM me your order # and I would be happy to look into your status.

    EDIT: After researching your order and if I have identified you properly I don't understand, I believe you have been updated with a shipment notification to us to avoid CA Tax. You were notified of the initial pre order of the 7970M GPU, that you would be in the 2nd batch and again if I have identified you properly you were notified when your order shipped within 48 hours of the 2nd shipment arriving. :confused: Shipping within 2 days of the card arriving was extremely quick and you received several updates as they came in pertaining to your order.

    We had to wait a bit longer than some others, but I honestly haven't minded. No offense to anybody else here, but I think the QC, the personal touches, and the service are just unparalleled. I'm very anxious to receive my machine, but I didn't order until the 21st so I know I still have a few days to wait. :)

    The drivers that come on the dvd dont work. You need to find the beta drivers in the forrums. Once you get it working... aww yea... its a beautiful thing!!

    I find enduro interesting. It runs everything off the HD4000 by default and then you set which programs can use the 7970m in CCC. It also autodetects which programs need higher graphics levels and asks if you want to add it to the list.

    The benchmarks on notebookcheck are right around where im getting.

    Edit: Also, is there an application list for Enduro? I'm only able to browse and search for the individual .exe files for Enduro to set to, the pop up doesn't seem to work for me. Or is this something that is fixed with the beta drivers?

    Out of the box for a very new product won't be that great anyway. You might as well try a couple of drivers and stick to the one that works best for you! :)
