UPS took forever![]()
So it looks like all I'll have time to do today is install Windows.

Just received an email from my reseller that my laptop has entered "Final Testing Before Shipping"! I received notification that it entered the build phase on Saturday, and now this notification today, so that was pretty quick. I placed my order on May 30th, paid via wire transfer same day. So it seems they are definitely catching up on all of the 7970m back orders.
Anyone know how long this "Final Testing Before Shipping" phase takes? I'm thinking just a day or two. I don't want to ask my reseller, think I've been pestering them enough as is. -
Can we get some more video reviews (keyboard flex, build quality, etc)? Need something to hold me over
-
Ordered my np9150 with the 7970m this afternoon. After reading some of the recent posts above I'm pretty confident that I won't have to wait a month or anything like that, which is nice
. I hope they're caught up on the back-orders soon!

I ordered mine with SteelSeries Keyboard and I don't think I'm going to receive my laptop until mid July.
A quick question to customers that ordered from XOTICPC. Which type of shipment did you pick? Since this is my first time ordering a $1500+ laptop I would like to know which type of shipment is safer/better. -
@Kwilaik if you absolutely want pure safety for the your new baby you can do the white glove. Me personally this is my third Sager / Clevo and I have always just did standard ground.
Ordered my NP9170 just a few days before. Hopefully they will get me out of the Phase 1 waiting for parts (7970) soon so I can get back to focusing on work -
Got my shipping notice 10 minutes ago!

@blairo32
When did your order and who from, if you don't mind? -

So how long before you think all the back orders are fulfilled and they can move on to normal shipping time frames?
-
This was from last Tuesday. So I'm guessing normal shipping time frames wouldn't happen until next Tuesday. But it all depends on who you buy it from. Because I talked to a builder this past Sunday and he told me that he could ship me a laptop in just two weeks.
@Clintre Thanks man I might just do that. Ive always used UPS but this type of package needs some extra care -

Off topic noob question.
How can I view my temps and fps? -
I've been irritated, and I remain irritated. Multiple faulty promises from both the builder and reseller. -

As it has been said before at least orders are moving forward, there are several sellers that haven't even shipped a single machine yet and we have a few thousand out the door.
Please understand these items are not just off the shelf items, they are custom built machines, there is allot of manual labor involved. Shipping in a exact order number basis is impossible compared to a game or off the shelf item you might pre order. We have explained before Sager is doing runs of machines and executing the same strategy that has worked for years with pre orders to get as much output as possible. -
That said I'd much rather they take their time and get everything right than ship me a laptop that has to go back for more work. -
My order's finally in a Ready to Ship status over at Mythlogic as of 9AM Central US time, good chance of shipping out today?
-
-
I see you're a MI resident who didn't buy from Mythlogic... better hope they don't find out -
-
Ok, if you have questions about your order, pm them directly. Otherwise, this thread is not intended to complain about sellers. They are doing their best to satisfy thousands of people in the same position as you. A little appreciation can go a long way.

I am curious about the number of 7970 orders Sager is filling or has filled. Has any of the resellers actually mentioned their total order number?
I ask because I see alot of reference to "thousands" of orders but when I was researching Sager they were listed as 9M in revenue. That would suggest they sell somewhere around 9k units annually ( at a avg price of 1k - not sure that is accurate but seems like it would be in the ballpark ).
The 7970 models are just 2 out of their 8 or 9 right? -

If you have anything else to add that helps answer my question that would be great.
To clarify as I am not an Accountant. Revenue as in the income from the sale of goods or services. In Sager's case I believe this would be just the sale or computers minus any returns of those same computers.
Edit: This actually doesn't matter. Again the question is are there really thousands of orders to process? Or possibly just a little exaggeration as we discuss pending orders? -

But recently, it became a 30$ upgrade.. -
-
Edit: Based on my exchanges with Hutsady, I inquired about the upgrade around 10am on June 11th, so it was probably a bit before that when it became available. -
Edit: found the quote. This was from the first day 7970M started shipping. (also sorry for the double post)

Revenue = all income generated from various streams such as sales, service, etc.
Profit = Revenue - Expenses
So the notion that Sager has total revenue of $9M as AlwaysSearching suggests would actually support his claim regarding exaggeration of new orders being processed. Also, I don't care either way but the above needs to be clarified apparently. Thanks! -
I agree that the number of systems they sell is not really important here. I will note that there have been back orders for a month and a half and this is likely a very busy time of year for any computer manufacturer. Especially with gaming laptops as many new graduates are looking for multiuse laptops that includes gaming for university.
I think this whole fiasco is coming to an end quickly. I seem to remember people who ordered about a week ago are starting to receive notices that their laptops are in production, so they have done a great job at powering through a month and a half of back orders. -
-
^ Yeah, I know what you're going through as I'm also waiting for a build completion and tracking number; but going to the depths of analysis as you are with revenue, number of sales, and so forth is really not the healthiest thing to do. I mean, it won't speed up your order processing nor mine. At this point as sad as it sounds, I think a little bit of patience is all that's required. They finally got the parts, and are now working full blast to process a backlog and give us an update or two. We can't really ask any more of them humanly.

Blargh - stuck on "Hardware Build" at Mythlogic since Saturday night (ordered May 3). It burns, it burns, it does.
In all honesty, though, they've been extremely pleasant to deal with, and it's not as if I would have faulted them for starting a build process on a Monday instead of a late Saturday night.
Any other Myth folks with similar order dates seeing progress? -
Hello,
got my P150EM today.
Is it normal that you have to press the "On"-Button for 2-3 seconds, before the laptop starts? -

Can't wait to test the HD7970M -

It's here..
Finally.
(Installing Windows + Drivers now, can't wait to get benchmarks on the 7970M) -

Also be happy your laptop has shipped. I ordered mine before you and it hasn't shipped yet. -
