Do they? That's sound freaking awesome! I'd love to be in a Sager showroom of sorts! I wonder if Clevo has a showroom... If Clevo did, I bet they'd have a sign that says "Sager's my bi*ch" :p

It can't live up to any hype when it's a $500 premium over a 5870. I'd demand at least 2x the performance for that price. However, coming off a 140 million loss due to consumer performance being lackluster, I guess they feel they need to overcharge for their low yield monsters.

So how much do you reckon one of these x7200s with the same default specs as the (old :( ) d900f will be?

Well Eurocom has no HD5870 option and CF sollution is also gone. I am getting worried that the only GPU option available will be Nvidia thus nobody is going to order either old dx10 SLI 285s or terribly overpriced Dx 11 480s for 5K USD. Maybe Clevo did not manage to handle ATi :-(

You will probably see it offered with single and dual 460M and 480M.

    Pricing is not available yet.

They are still hoping for a September launch...but we will have to wait to see.

im sendig my NP8120 back to Sager on the 4th of September. One day before my 30 day Satisfaction Guarantee. The X8100 is a great computer. But its just not powerful enough. Im going to get me a X7200. Much more upgradable and im hoping it has a LED Screen. The X8100 cant even play Modern Warfare with Antialiasing on. I get serious framerate drops.

Looking forward to 3DMark Vantage results for this monster.

Vantage is a proper indicator of the 3D performance and scaling we should expect from the GTX 480m cards. 3DMark06 scales HORRIBLY with nvidia cards and has ALWAYS favoured ATI cards (remember that 3870x2 would out score SLI GTX 280m in 06.....)

This is why I was roflmao when people tried to guess that there would be 30k 06 scores out of the box haha....clearly they have never seriously benched in their life. I predict 20k scores if you are lucky (stock of course)! The M17x i7 version can score 19k out of the box with CF 5870m and the i7 920xm

Like everyone else here I too am eager to see what final pricing on this will be. And also what the final verdict on the system as a whole will be (that is, what - if any - multi GPU issues will we run into this time)

Yeah, I'd like to see 3 things tested:

    1) Stability/issues (with and w/o OC')
    2) Screen quality
    3) OC'ing headroom

You're right, It looks like with a 300W PSU it would require some pitch black magic to allow any OC'ing. Maybe Clevo put a tiny dark matter engine in the PSU.

I can confidently say that 240W is not enough for my current laptop.....300W is really an understatement for the proposed hardware involved.....

As was mentioned a few times, the declared 300W may in reality be close to 400 and with some throttling implementations Clevo could keep the beast safe.
It will, of course, angry a few potential buyers but c'mon, with the declared components not many (you're excluded :)) will think of OC'ing.

    470m sli =75x2=150 + 130cpu= 280 plus all others = well within 300w, in worst case scenario.
Most of the times, even when gaming second gpu wont be fully loaded.

    300w is enough for a 470m sli config, i don't know about a 480m sli config.

    I would like to get me a 950, 470m sli, x25v40gb+500gb hybrid+1tb storage + blueray reader.
Only mysn.de could offer such a config, all thats missing is the 470msli

I would not bother with the momentus XT if it is not going to be the boot drive....

Also the benefits of the 950 over the 930 do not warrant the price increase....unless you are a bencher

You dont get it, the 950 costs 20 euros more than the 930. It has suffered a decrease in price by half. So yah its worth it.

The x25vm the boot drive, the hybridm the game drive, the 1tb is the storage.

Oh, did not realize the price difference was so small, definitely get it then!

With Intel cpus I usually get the highest priced one before the large price jump to the "top" model. They will be like 20$ jumps then a $200 jump to the top lol

The only problem of that laptop is that it's just plain ugly not to mention it does not have an RGB LED screen and the best resolution offered is 1920x1080 which I don't like as much as the 1920x1200.

Still I can't wait for the test results.
