Did you have a bad flash? AKA, it won't boot anymore? You can try doing a hard reset by removing the battery and then opening the case and removing the small CMOS battery. If that doesn't work, there isn't a lot more you can do on your own. You'll probably have to contact your retailer or a repair shop for an RMA.

OK, I have read this thread, all 21 pages and still can NOT find the latest BS and KBC / EC for my Sager NP5791/M570RU. I finally was able to download the 57RU_108.WPH file, refresh.bat. Phlash16.exe.

IF I am understanding this correctly, I would have bricked my laptop if I had ran the refresh.bat file I now have on my bootable USB stick that contains the command line: phlash16 /x /c /mfg /mode=3 57RU_108.WPH?

How DO I get the KBC/EC files as all the links to the Clevo FTP site isn't working...

HELP! I am stuck at 104 BIOS and KBC/EC!

I'm not familiar with the model, but in most cases a bad flash bricks the laptop. If you've tried resetting the CMOS battery and discharging the laptop and/or are unable to make it to at least the POST, you're going to have to contact the retailer you purchased it from for RMA.

I've suffered a little issue with trying to create this bootable disk.

I followed the instructions but there aren't any files, hidden or otherwise, on this USB drive.

I rebooted, thinking they were there, and the machine said there was no OS or bootable media and just started up windows as per usual.

    >.< Help?

What laptop do you have? With P170EM I followed these steps:

"How to flash whole ROM that include ME:
(This is needed when BIOS is .04 or below)

    1. Make sure plugin AC adaptor.
    2. Run MeSet.EXE under pure DOS, the system will auto cold boot.
    3. Run FlashMe.bat under pure DOS.
    4. The system display flash complete message after flash success.
    5. Press power button override 4 seconds, and then re-plugin AC adaptor"

    Hello everyone,

Any ideas how to flash bios with dead battery? I have clevo w870cu and when trying update bios i get ''No Battery'' error. I read in Dell you could use /forceit command, just wondering can it be applied to clevo computers. No one wants to brick they hard earned cash. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Patrck_744 posted the MF mirror here. Only the SP27608 works; However, you could easily find the mirror for bootme.zip with a quick google search.

If anyone has working links for those files (or more modern files that make things simpler) it would be helpful to people trying to make boot-able flash drives to update BIOS. Looks like OP zfactor hasn't been active since 2011, so if someone has working files perhaps a board admin could update the original post with modern links when someone posts them.

Another way to create a bootable USB drive is to use Rufus (I know, strange name for such a tool^^).
Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way

IMO there is no other tool that simplifies the whole process like the way Rufus does it.
No need to donwload Dos, Rufus has it allready integrated (MS-Dos and Free-Dos)

Rufus is the only tool I trust. Free DOS has never failed for flashing purposes.
